PJ Brady's is one of those neighborhood spots that instantly makes you feel at home. The welcoming service and comforting food coming out of the kitchen create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. They have a dining room set up for private parties, as well as a separate bar area. Both spaces are great, but I personally prefer sitting at the bar (especially during game nights). The specials are always fun, and the regular menu is full of neighborhood favorites. The wings are consistently fresh and flavorful, and they often run great wing specials at the bar during games. The pizza is another solid choice. In an area like The Bronx, where there's no shortage of excellent pizza, PJ Brady's still manages to impress. The sausage pizza is my personal favorite. I have eaten here many times, and the food and staff are usually great. However, my experience tonight trying to place a takeout order was very disappointing. I wanted a simple meal: a crab cake appetizer and a side of spaghetti with garlic and oil. I was told sides of pasta weren't available, but I could get a kids' portion for $15. I agreed, but was then told they could only do marinara because garlic and oil "wasn't on the menu" and couldn't be made. Spaghetti with garlic and oil is a standard, basic dish, so this lack of flexibility and customer service was surprising. I ended up canceling my order and went to Patrizia's , where I got exactly what I wanted for less money and with much better service. I love this place, but tonight was a letdown. read more

I always underestimate P.J Bradys and that stops today! One of our last stops of the Bronx, we were tired and hungry and wanted a neighborhood venue with good food that was close to home. First a very loud shout out to Katie Angel who I've known now for years and always makes everyone feel like family! You have a lot of fans and for good reason! We started with soup on this cold evening, a chicken vegetable and a creamy mushroom, both were delicious but the mushroom soup was truly amazing loaded with mushrooms! We also had one of their cheese pizzas that we have been hearing so much about and I was shocked how good it was, the sauce, cheese and crust was excellent! John the owner treated us to their daily special of "Homemade Crab cakes" with sauce that probably the best I ever had. Our entrees were large portions and also wonderful! I had the "king cut prime rib angus steak" with a baked potato and carrots. The steak was so tender and flavorful! Of course my chickenparmaJohn had his favorite but with a twist of vodka sauce which was really a great combo. He approved and gave a high rating! I had a "Manhattan" straight up on the sweet side with 2 cherries that was perfect. We had to skip dessert tonight because we were so satisfyingly full. This is really the "Cheers" of the neighborhood and celebrating their 26th year anniversary, so stop in and show this neighborhood gem some love! read more

The BBQ pull pork hero was the best choice and it's a large platter and it was only 15 bucks

The staff here are splendid! They're so helpful and welcoming and always have a solution to everything. There was an error with our deal and the front staff waitress was very quick to help us resolve it. To boot, their cheesesteak was delicious and so was the bacon cheeseburger and grilled chicken hero. The fires were great as well and I'll definitely be going back. read more

We catered the food from Brady's for our sons lax post game tailgate. Majella and John always a pleasure to deal with. The food was amazing. We ordered trays of chicken franchais, penne ala vodka, ziti with broccoli garlic and oil,meatballs and wings. The trays were loaded and delicious! Meatballs are a tough order because most places put so much breadcrumb to stretch the meat. Not Brady's! We thought tonight we would give them another chance, WHAT A JOKE! Sat for 40 minutes with only beverages. Order simple shrimp appetizer, chicken quesadilla and a cheeseburger. Appetizers should be on a customers table no more than 15 minutes. I will NEVER ever go back, I'm done! Management needs to know how to balance take out and their customers who are dining in. About 40 minutes passed and no one came to check on the service, wether or not we wanted to order food or if we needed anything else. This restaurant is not packed, it is not busy. Eventually after waiting so long we take it upon ourselves to just set down some cash to pay for our drinks (the waitress told us how much it would be when we first ordered) as we were never given the opportunity to order anything else. The menu is very extensive and the daily specials are so good! I order from here at least once a week. Upon entering PJ Brady's for pick up, delivery, or dine in you will instantly feel the warm welcome! Each employee is wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, everything is clean and sanitized. Received a lot of stares, but not once in the hour of sitting there did anyone come to see if we wanted or needed anything. We asked if it was ok to order food when sitting by the bar and was told that we could and that they would bring us menus however, the menus never came. The waitress we had asked to bring us menus did keep coming towards the bar where we were sitting to socialize, but not once were we acknowledged and those menus never came. When we finally decided to leave the establishment we were acknowledged and asked if "the money was there " for the bucket of beers we ordered upon arriving to the bar. I love PJ Brady's wings. But, if you want them DO NOT ORDER THEM TO BE DELIVERED!! I ordered both boneless wings and regular wings at 3:30 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. You would think you can have that delivered in your neighborhood in about 40 minutes the most. Well, first it said 50 to 60 minutes. I was OK with that because as I said before I love their wings. One hour passes and nothing. 30 minutes later - nothing. I called Grub Hub and they said stay on the line and they will contact the restaurant. Came back with PJ Brady's had a glitch in their system but they didn't have the decency to telephone the customer and related that information. RIDICULOUS. Grub Hub stated PJ Brady's uses their own drivers and that was probably the problem. But who knows....I never will...I cancelled that order. Anyway, if you want great wings just visit this restaurant on your own....otherwise too bad!!!!! read more

I love coming to PJ Brady's. Whether I want to sit at the bar or at a booth in another room, I am always very comfortable here. The people working here are are extremely friendly, always in a good mood. The wings and pizza stand out, we always go for the sweet chili wings, and a mini pizza pie. I love their food but every time we order from there they never get the order right.. my last experience was terrible me and my husbands both orders were wrong. I ordered a chicken finger wrap and they bought me chicken fingers my husband ordered a turkey burger and they bought him sliced turkey sandwich. Then when we went to tell the waitress the order was wrong she insisted that what she bought is what we ordered. It took the waitress about 20 mins to bring us our water and never came back to refill it we sat there the whole meal with empty glasses. Not worth your time or money, I'd never come back to this place. Came in with a group of four, everyone ready to eat and drink and have a nice time. The bar and restaurant area was not busy at all, we sat ourselves at a table near the bar and waited a while with no service. We eventually had to go find a waitress to request a bucket of beer, at this point we also asked for someone to take our orders even though we never received menus, we managed to decide what we wanted by using take out menus in a bin. The waitress said she'd send over some menus and someone to take our order and they never did after almost an hour of sitting there, the bar continued to empty out more and several workers were by the bar area again not acknowledging us but watching us the entire time. The waitress who dropped our bucket of beer off was drinking wine behind the bar, and clearly they were not interested in our business. We decided to just leave the amount they said the bucket was on the table and walk out at which point the waitress finally acknowledged us rudely asking "is the money there?" I'm not overly shocked at the experience because it doesn't seem like the place you go to for a 5 star experience but really just disgusted at the lack of customer service to people who were not rude, or overly demanding we just wanted some food and drinks. The entire experience felt very bizarre and gave me some serious racist vibes, they obviously wanted us to know that we were not welcome and that's fine we won't return, but I feel compelled to warn others that this may not be the place for you, there's lot of other nice restaurants and bars in the area don't waste your time or money here. read more

I've ordered take-out from here a few times, as this is the closest place from my house (walking distance, a big plus in the summer). The last time I went, the time it took to pick up my dinner they took a while, so I got a chance to really LOOK at the place. Its really not pretty. They keep food in an old Coke cooler out on display, they had some of the dirty dishes stacked up by the cash register, and it didn't look quite as clean as I would have liked. Granted, the burger I had was solid, and the fries were downright good, but I got a good ten minutes to stare at the inside of the place, and I don't think that I'll be coming back. read more
