I've been to the waterfront a few times all very pleasant. I've only done brunch here so I can't comment on the dinner. Brunch is solid, drinks are good and service is nice. I hosted a birthday/golf clinic here and it was really a wonderful experience! Unfortunately the weather didn't let us enjoy it fully but everyone was so accommodating and helpful. Would def suggest to check it out when it reopens in the spring. The atmosphere is nice and it's really pretty when you eat outdoors. read more

This was an unexpected treasure to find! Located on the Bally's Golf Club, this restaurant boasts beautiful a picturesque outdoor dining experience that makes it a hidden gem. Overlooking the Hudson and settled between views of both the GWB and Whitestone Bridges, the background views are stunning just past the refreshing and relaxing landscaping of a professional golf course in the foreground. The hospitality and service were top notch and the food was delicious as it was presentable. My family and I enjoyed every dish... nothing pompous but rather comforting foods with a classy presentation and a flavorful flare. Highly recommend, despite being a bit pricey. read more

I was going to take my parents up to City Island when I remembered this restaurant was on my list of places to try. It is a restaurant in a Trump owned golf course. There were people in their polo shirts coming off the golf course as well as people just there for a meal. We went for Sunday brunch. My mom had crab cakes and a ceasar salad, my dad had pizza, I had the truffle burger and my son had a cheeseburger that looked the same size as mine. I have to say I loved my burger. While I differ on our ex presidents views, this place knows how to make a great truffle burger. We all enjoyed our food. I opted for the bottomless brunch while everyone else had the brunch. The service was great. The server made it truly bottomless. I had several different drinks and liked the red sangria the best. I loved the relaxing atmosphere and view of the water. When I was going through heartbreak, my friends took me here to hangout and take my mind off of it. Sitting out there and looking at the grass, the sky, the clouds, the water, it honestly healed something in me. Just sitting there with the wind in my hair and the quiet murmur of the other diners around me felt calming. The food was great too, the only reason I minused a star was the service was quite slow. Drove over to check this place out after seeing photos on Yelp. It's a golfing range/Bally Store. With a very nice restaurant area for Brunch/Dinner & functions. Indoor outdoor seating. Ambiance nice. Very clean. Full bar. Staff very pleasant. We decided to try a few items on their menu. Fried Calamari, Naan with Spinach & Artichoke Dip, & decided to split a Burger w/fries. Overall food was good. Only complaints would be the temperature. I like my food served hot. Everything was quite the opposite. Calamari had good flavor but was very small in comparison. We ordered Margherita pizza and pan seared Faroe Island salmon, which decorated w/ pea shoots, baby carrots, three kinds of cauliflowers, are just perfect for the summer. Their thick beurre blanc sauce is delicious. Guess Mr. Trump didn't spare any cost, i.e. the passing golf cars are silent (compare to some courses using gas and are very noisy, as obnoxious.) What a beautiful place to have lunch/early dinner. We were seated outside and what a view. Felt like we were dining at the Hamptons. Drove by this golf course plenty of times while driving past the Whitestone bridge and did not know they had such a beautiful restaurant on site. Booked through Open Table but didn't have option for outside, however, husband called and spoke with hostess Fallon and she said she could seat us outside. We arrived and she sat us outside immediately, there were only 3 others tables that had already gotten their food and drinks and another table with 2 men off to the side, they looked done. We waited for over 10 minutes and the waitress was CHATTING with these men and never acknowledged us. My husband waved to her and she saw him but continued to chat with these men. At least acknowledge us, bring us water and tell us she'll be over shortly! NOTHING! Needless to say we got up and left, told the Hostess Fallon what happened, told her it's not her fault but this is Horrible service and it was not crowded at all! There is no excuse for this kind of service! It was a beautiful day and that is why we decided to go here, we've been here before and should have known better. We haven't been in awhile to the The Waterfront NYC, so we figured we would start our Memorial Day weekend with the beautiful clubhouse and scenic views and check out the menu! We were not disappointed! They now have more options on their menues (see in pictures) and are rocking the food! We had the "Wild Mushroom and Truffle" Neapolitan style pizza from the Hearth with an abundance of mushrooms with a wonderful truffle purée and garlic chives! I also enjoyed the perfectly pan seared "Faroe Island Salmon" with a beautiful assortment of veggies and grilled cabbage to make this dish so exquisite! A shout out to our server Jon-Michael for making us feel special and helping us with our selections. We have been long-standing patrons at Waterfront NYC. Manager Cl-on* was disappointing to say the least. He was inflexible and obstinate in accommodating a large reservation on a rainy weekday afternoon/early evening despite the reservation having been made weeks in advance. He claimed that the restaurant could not sit two tables next to one another, required two separate servers (understandable), and demanded two separate checks. The latter was inconsequential but his repetition of these points, and overall treatment during our celebration, made us feel unwelcome in the community. Throughout our dining time, more than half of the huge dining room remained set up and vacant. The server at one table was friendly but inattentive. They seemed to have been coached to provide subpar service. The manager with whom we had email, phone, and Open Table communication with, never came by the tables to greet us despite being at the nearly empty restaurant at that time (see attached). Our saving grace was the protection offered by Open Table to its members and reservation policies. Thank you Open Table for helping a child's special event survive the tanking by this inhospitable restaurant manager. Club members and friends from the area are reconsidering their tees and reservations for the plentiful greens and clubhouses that value their guests. The gorgeous views and design of this site are spoiled on poor management. Management should consider extensive training for this manager, and a review of best restaurant hospitality practices. read more

Nice open, lot of natural light with windows all around and a very high ceiling with windows way above. Very Clean, great service, good food. We went for brunch the brunch menu is simple but on point. My wife had the buttermilk pancakes with fresh wip cream. I had the steak and eggs, and my daughter had a grilled cheese. Everything was cooked perfect and very tasty. Very good coffee and bloody Mary's. You can choose to go bottomless on the mimosas and bloody Mary's, they have a nice big full bar and beer as well. Well well well! Finally made it to Waterfront on the edge of Bronx, right next to Whitestone bridge and believe is a part of Trump golf course (The loser)! Anyway wanted to eat closer and selection was not bad. Went for a birthday dinner. They have their own parking, feels like a Golf club house or may be it is. The view is breathtaking and I am sure the brunch here would be awesome. Since I am big on sharing the food when I go eat out (sometimes drinks too -winks) we ordered Crispy calamari as starters and Filet mignon and Waghyu Burger as main course. Calamari was top notch, fresh and done well. So it went fast!!!! The steak was medium well (i know right- i killed the cow the 2nd time) mashed potatoes and some greens (they had limited choice) so it were the orangey carrots!!!! We ordered theburger came with standard fries. They have good selection of spirts and cocktails. Place was not empty and is huge good spacing so a good place to meet for a date. Music isnt loud and they have a bar setting with sports screens! Food overall was good and tasty. I would definitely come back again, most probably for a brunch! My experience started weird to say the least, got there 1210pm which is 10mins after opening party of 3 AA, the front desk host (white young man) asked if we had reservations- no, then proceeded to ask if vaccinated- formalities, but then he said there's no availability and there's a 30min wait. Weird part is that the interior only had one couple dining with lots of vacant seats which I highlighted. He then said it's reserved and they just experience a "crazy rush". I'm not sure what that interaction implies to you, but when I see a practically empty restaurant and I'm told to wait 30mins as to deter me from dining I think it's inappropriate. After 10mins of waiting, Angelica another host came over and graciously seated us. We sat in the restaurant for almost 2 hrs an one other group joined, but not sure how "all the seats are reserved." The food was ok but because my party and I felt like we didn't belong, we really didn't enjoy the experience. I understand it's a golf course dining experience, but the restaurant is open to the public and it should be inclusive. After all I'm spending money just like the next person. read more

Went to check out the car show today and stopped for a bite to eat. Loved the separate section to order burger, franks, fries, and wings aside from the menu itself. The wings were delicious, the fries crispy, and the burgers----thick and juicy. The drinks were great, not measured like regular bars. Had a $12 Tito's and tonic that was awesome!! Had the flatbreads( could be crispier) and the meatballs which tasted amazing. The place also has a brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with $25 unlimited mimosas. read more

This place is beautiful; first restaurant since Covid that is truly social distancing. The service is on point, the food is delicious. Appetizer was lobster bisque, good but a bit spicy. Entree filet mignon cooked to perfection. Desert - creme brûlée - the best best best creme brûlée I have had in years (it is my husbands favorite so we really know a good creme brûlée from a bad one). Worth going back. This place is absolutely gorgeous however don't let the other reviews fool you. The one star is because the food was actually pretty good but the staff need some serious help and re-training. We had a 1:30 PM reservation, after checking in with the host & manager we placed our request to sit outside in which they responded it would be a little bit of a wait (perfectly fine it's Sunday brunch) and we could wait at the bar. While sitting at the bar we ordered drinks I got the rosé sangria and my partner got a beer which ended up being barely cold. A group of 4 was sitting next to us and asked the host who was helping get waters behind the bar how long it would be for a table of 4 outside and she pointed to the empty table which was being cleared and told them they could just go sit there. We remind her of our reservation and she asks us what time it was for (1:30) and what time it is currently (1:43). So at this point we've learned reservations mean nothing here. They tried to then seat us at a table further back then the one which was originally being cleared for us in which we were going to just stay at the bar in that case. The manager comes back out and we ask to be seated at another table that just cleared and we walk over with the menus/drinks we had at the bar. It took 20+ minutes to have someone acknowledge our table to place an order. Imagine how much longer it would've been if we didn't already have the menus. We ordered the Mushroom flatbread & 2 Gold Label Wagyu Burgers along with another Rose sangria. They bring over the sangria and it's white, so I mention ordering the rosé so they take it back and bring back red. Unfortunately, I cannot review the Waterfront's food or atmosphere as I was not even seated on the day that I reserved two weeks in advance. I will never book a reservation at The Waterfront again. My graduation was on Tuesday, June 22nd. Considering that we were only allowed two guests at the ceremony, I figured that I would make up for it by eating at a highly reviewed restaurant with amazing views and food. After doing days worth of research, I found a place that met all of my criteria located only about ten minutes away from me. The location was super convenient, the prices affordable, and the menu had enough range so that everyone would be satisfied! I had family fly and drive in from very long distances to celebrate this big day with me over some delicious food and view of the water. Understanding that it is graduation season and restaurants are quite busy, I decided to book as early as possible over their website. I booked a reservation on Tuesday June 8 (an entire two weeks ahead). I looked at what is supposed to be the helpful "Upcoming Events" page on the restaurant's website to make sure there were not any events that would prohibit me from eating that day. Seeing a free schedule, I reserved my table and I received a confirmation email immediately. I sent family and friends the menu, which they were satisfied with, and pictures of the outdoor dining experience in which they were all excited to have. I was able to check off the fine dining and focus my time on other graduation preparation. I even called on Saturday, June 19 to remind them of my reservation and ask about the cake cutting fee. Fast forward to the next day, Sunday June 20, I received a call from the restaurant in which they stated that they were having a golfing event on Tuesday, June 22nd and will be closed to the public for the day. All that they could offer me for this major inconvenience were free appetizers at a newly rescheduled reservation day..... On that Sunday night, I was having to convey the unfortunate news to my expected guests that we would no longer be eating at the anticipated restaurant. I lost sleep searching endlessly for a upscale restaurant located in the Bronx and Westchester county area with menu's that accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions, is convenient in distance, affordable and will have tables available so last minute during graduation season. This is all as a result of lack of professionalism. If I could rate my experience, or lack thereof, at The Waterfront NYC zero stars, I would! With their views of the Whitestone Bridge and Donald Trumps's extensive golf course, The Waterfront had initially came off as high-end and polished, but looks can clearly be deceiving! read more

Came here on a September Saturday night. Place wasn't packed and was able to have a nice table outside. Food was amazing. Fish tacos were out of this world. I had the burger and it was massive and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. My boyfriend had the scallops and I tasted those as well, and they were perfect.
