Ordered a baritone for our son to play and called twice to confirm the instrument was ready for pick up. Drove all the way out to the Fishers location from where we live in Carmel and picked up the instrument. Brought the instrument home only to find out that it was completely not functional. Buttons were not working valves were frozen. Called the office and they admitted that the instrument had not been maintenances since mid last year. Prior to pick up I had specifically asked if the instrument was ready and had been maintenance since it was a gently used instrument. It's extremely disappointing to have an initial experience with this company that was recommended to us by our band director and have this be such a huge inconvenience. read more

OK not sure why people are slamming on the cost of equipment form Pages. YES it's more then if you paid cash BUT with that you get to pay it off over time AND you have full break/fix, insurance, damage. The biggest benefit is that you get trade-in value on an upgrade PLUS at anytime you want you can pay off the instrument at 40% off what is owed. We have purchased 5 or 6 instruments from them and have been very happy with each one. The last was a beautiful 5 string Standup Bass just last week. read more

If you live around Indy and have kids participate in orchestra/ band, this is THE place to go. A shop run with very knowledgable and professional people. We have rented a viola for our child and always get very good service when we needed to visit for repair/ switch to a bigger instrument. This time we came here for a larger size and hour out with a better instrument. The money we put for the old instrument was applied as a credit lowering the monthly payment. The Yelp reviews about this place seem to be very polarized, and I'm not sure why. We've purchased two instruments here in the past year, and we got great service every time. We just recently picked out a new clarinet for our son, and the young man who helped us was very polite and efficient. We were able to try several models before making a decision, and they accommodated us in one of their private rooms. Everyone gets their instruments from Paige's if they are in band around Central Indiana. They do a great job at providing excellent instruments as well as repairing them. I also go to JW Pepper which is a sheet music shop across the hall from Paige's. They have an extensive selection of music and if there is something you need that they don't have, they will ship it to your home. It is a little difficult to find, but once you find it, you won't forget where it is! Paige's is a great spot to also take your instruments should they needed a little mending or assistance. I take my flute here to get my pads redone and they do an excellent job with it. So if you're looking for a place to find an instrument or need some repairing, Paige's is the place to go! read more

Repairs are good but don't get an instrument long term from here. You will pay an extra 40-50 percent more than if you just bought it out right. Everyone I know says it's a rip off but due to lack of options and an easy arrangement with schools - they have the lock on the market and parents wallets. read more

My son played in band all through sixth grade and every single payment was taken from my account on time. Our house burned down in February 2018 and I called Paige's to get the full bill sent to me so that my homeowners insurance could pay it off so that it it stops coming out of my account. They told me they were emailing it to me as we speak and to wait fifteen minutes and check it again. I did so, I fact I've been checking everyday since and nothing and it's now July 23rd 2018 and the bill is still stolen from my account every month. I had been meaning to check out "Chops" at Paige's for a while as I've been looking for a drum shop that is NOT guitar center. The store was hard to find (in the back of a business park), but once inside I instantly felt comfortable in the shop and the worker was very helpful and friendly. I bought a few different sets of sticks and some new snares, but they didn't carry the drum heads I needed.. Not surprised as they are rare and not really stocked anywhere I've seen except Columbus Percussion in, C-bus, OH. I'd like to return, but the location just isn't convenient for me.. Have had an instrument in twice for repairs. In one case, it had previously been at another music store and their repair person left with no notice. Paige's was very patient even though it took 3 return trips to the other repair place to get all the parts. I've found them very honest and reasonable. I have been shopping with Paige's for around 15 or more years. They are able to get all of my instrumental needs covered. I've had my violin worked on and mandolin repaired in their repair shop. I have also purchased strings and shoulder rests from their Encore Strings shop with John. If you ever need anything for your instrument's care, this is the place to go! Paige's came to my child's school to sell instruments for band. They took credit card and all information at the time. They offered a payment plan where you were able to make payments until the instrument was paid off, which I thought was great at the time. What I did not know was that if you do the payment plan you end up paying over 40% of what the instrument is worth. I wished that I would have been told this. I would have paid for the instrument outright or broken it up into two payments to avoid all of the interest costs. read more

It wasn't until I mentioned that she was behaving just like the Reviews stated that she began to have a better attitude. I have dealt with Paige's music for 28 years as a music educator. There is not another company around that will give you the service and the quality of instrument that Paige's will give you. The easiest route to go when getting an instrument for your child is to go through Paige's. You might get a cheaper instrument and a cheaper price somewhere else, but you get what you pay for. I have seen too many children frustrated by an instrument that is not allowing them to play. These kids most often times quit because their instrument gets in their way. It is a shame that people put poor quality instruments in the hands of their children. The children are our world's greatest natural resource! read more

One star is generous! NOT impressed or pleased with the fact that we have NO choice but to go through Paige's for our child's band instrument. Not only were we informed 24 hours before the cutoff that we hadn't passed their credit check and would have to buy their over-priced instrument out right, or have a friend or family member use their credit to get the instrument, but they billed out account TWICE in the same day and have still yet to refund payment. The attitude and general tone is very condescending and parents are backed into a damn corner if your kid wants to play in band. I'd suggest considering a new method for some schools in Central Indiana....and while we are at it, how about an option for low income families so their kids can play in band too. If your child wants to TRY an instrument then by all means you can use Paige's. However, please return it quickly once you see they will stick with it more than a month. We believed we were RTO my daughters Viola and have realized that we now will have paid over $3100 for an instrument that we could've purchased outright for less than a third. At no point was this ever covered with us in the "pitch". This is a complete rip off and the sad thing is they are in every school out there! The schools endorse this company and parents are really misled about " what a great deal" Paige's are offering to them!!! Trust me that if you question this and bring to their attention what a complete SCAM they are running, their customer service takes a quick turn and they are not so happy to answer your questions!!! One star is too much. We turned our instrument in at the school like we were told to do in May. Here in October they are still billing us and calling us. Back in July we were told everything was fine, and now here in Oct they are calling and saying they never got it back! Bad business practice. Will not use ever again. I've been renting an instrument for my son to use in his school program. Paige's has been good to work with, and they are specialists in the school market. Their rental program is great in that they coordinate with the school music director to ensure the right accessories and instrument are ready for each student. This is essential for someone like myself who did not have musical instrument training. The program includes free service and maintenance, loaner instruments, and also swapping the instrument as a child grows so they can start at 1/2 size instruments then replace with larger sizes. Also, the rental fees can be credited to instrument purchase at the end of the contract. People there have been friendly and helpful to work with. The only inconvenience has been with their website, which needs some tuning. I agree with reviewer Benjamin H. also that the store is hard to find and in an out of the way location. read more

The customer service (manager and several staffs) is AWFUL. They sold a starter kit with a low-quality strap, but refused exchange for a better one or return. The manager didn't listen to the customer's feedback on the product, and coldly rejected with his own rush judgement. He gave all kinds of "no" and would rather spend 50 min arguing with me and creating an EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT customer experience. I was considerate enough to replace the low-quality strap sooner to avoid the risk of dropping the instrument rented from Paige; but they gave me the attitude and rude responses. read more
