Back in August 2023, I needed paint protection film (PPF) installed on my white matte Genesis GV80. Luckily, on my way home from the Gowanus entrance, I spotted Tommy's PPF installation shop near my job in Red Hook. He did a fantastic job installing Xpel Stealth matte film on the entire front end and mirror caps, along with regular Xpel gloss PPF on the headlights. Fast forward to this year - disaster struck! I just had my new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek done. I have done a bit of research around NY/NJ area. I found Paint Protection and Tommy via Yelp review here too. It has few but great reviews. So I give it a shot and happy with my decision. Tom did a good job putting the clear bra on the car's hood, fender bender, nose as well as the side mirrors which are included in the premium package. So now I am adding this as another satisfying customer. With today's new cars, the paint used is mainly water based because it is more environmental friendly. But at the same time, it is more prone to minors chips and scratches from rocks and debris on the road. Bought a Tesla Model Y in December and brought it immediately to Tommy for an XPEL Stealth Wrap (full wrap) and XPEL Ceramic Tint (all windows and top). Was worried about the quality with the edges for a Matte wrap as I read a bunch of reviews and watched videos but Tommy did a great job of making sure the wrap was applied seamlessly. Same experience with the tint too. He even matted my Tesla badges and removed/installed my license plate mount at NO COST. I had a small issue with some peeling this week (8mo later) plus my wife scratched the bumper so I brought the car in and he touched it up on the spot and didn't charge me for the touch up work for the bumper. I recently used this company to re-wrap my sideview mirror after damaging the existing wrap and attempting to peel it off myself. What was left was an ugly, gluey mess on my late-model, white minivan. Tommy (who I think is also the owner) came highly recommended and answered my call right away. He immediately scheduled our appointment. He couldn't have been more accommodating or friendly. He fit me into his schedule that very day and even offered to come to my office to do the job. searched on line for a bumper wrap place for my white sienna closest place was paint protection/ Tommy it had good reviews. so I called spoke to tommy and brought the car in had it wrapped within hours... looks great but had a few bubbles appear in the front called tommy he told me give it a few day see if disappeares... it got smaller but not gone.. brought it back and tommy did his thing and it's all good . well that's the story and here my review from start to finish tommy was up front, attentive and courteous.. I purchase a new Mercedes metris van , I mainly used it for work , I park my car in the city , u know how tight the parking spot in the city is ,my old work car front and rear bumper had paint chips and minor scratch all over it so after I purchase my vechical I had my whole front end cover the bumper and side skirt done , I was really happy with the result and the price.
