I walked in and ordered a Stromboli. I was the only person in the restaurant. Some people came and picked up togo orders. After 35 minutes I was wondering what was taking so long and they had just forgotten their only customer that was there. They handed me a cold Stromboli and didn't apologize or anything. This is my go to location for pizza, which is always good. Service is not. I placed an order for 4:15 pickup,and arrived late at 4:25. They checked my order and said it would be a few minutes. Eight minutes later they said they were out of thin crust, so I opted for regular crust. Another 15 minutes, and I finally had my order. Another gentleman had a problem picking up his order as well. We've ordered from here three times. We are almost literally across the street and had to order delivery due to work meetings. It took almost 50 minutes and the pizza was cold. We really want to love this place. It's so close and convenient, but unless greasy, cold pizza is your thing, maybe give something else on the menu a shot. Been here a few times and simply not impressed. Once I got a supreme slice. All they did was put the onions, green peppers, mushrooms and sausage on top and put it in the box! They didn't melt it in the slice just toss the veggies on and that's it! Disappointing! I tried the cheesesteak as well again nothing amazing just average my work cafeteria is better and less expensive! I actually felt a bit of nausea after I finished eating. On March 8th 2020, our U17 soccer team was in Alexandria for a soccer tournament. Unfortunately, we picked Quattro Formaggi as our first option for lunch. They were not accommodating towards our big group at all so we were in search of another restaurant to eat at. Luckily, we opted for Paisano's. Upon arrival, the cashier greeted us with a huge smile on his face. He was so accommodating to our team and all the other guests at their establishment. He made our day so much better. Unfortunately, we do not remember his name. But, if he sees this, we want to thank him for his hospitality and let management know about the great work he is doing. We will definitely return to this restaurant the next time we are in Alexandria. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty Paisano's pizza and wings were. My friend and I ordered a medium vegetarian with chicken (don't judge lol) and a 8 piece barbecue wings with a side of ranch. For the pizza, I was a fan of the dough and the veggies. The veggies were all fresh. They had those rich California tomatoes on there. Yum! The wings were fried then dipped in a sweet honey barbecue sauce. The food items are reasonably priced. A little higher than Pizza Hut but not as high as a Pizzeria. The menu featured garlic knots, desserts and salad. I'll be sure to explore those items next. Minus 1 star for being 10 minutes late and food lukewarm. read more

Ok Pizza. Everything else is problematic. 1) as my family and I were walking up to the building, there was a condom (unopened) on the ground right on the curb in front. This is not Paisano's fault, but I saw multiple employees walk right past it as they entered and exited. 2) the outdoor seating area had a bunch of trash on the ground. 3) as we walked in the door folks working at the front (seated lady and standing gentleman) took maybe a full 45 seconds to acknowledge our presence (and we were the only ones there). 4) gentleman that placed the order was friendly and courteous. But no one up front appeared to be invested in ensuring the customer had a good feeling of the place. 5) Pizza was just ok. Definitely works if you want pizza but because I know how that place looks and runs, I don't think I'll go back or order out. This place needs a better manager. Small things count -- if you don't get the trash outside right, then odds are other things more centric to dining are slipping as well. read more

I didn't realize that there was any space at all between Sumo and Hunan, but they somehow managed to squeeze a pizza place right in the middle. After noticing their sign being lit up for a couple of weeks, I made it over to Paisano's for lunch to give them a try. There isn't any seating inside, but there are plenty of tables and chairs on the covered patio outside. There are salad, calzone, and pasta options available, but I went for the $6 lunch special, which is 2 1-topping slices and a can of soda. The slices aren't listed on the menu, but they rang up as $2.50 each, with $.50/topping, so basically you get the soda for free. Anyway, I tried the onion and the spinach. The crust was the best part of the pizza - thin and crispy, and held up to the cheese/sauce/ingredients well. It wasn't completely loaded with toppings, but they were adequate in quantity, well distributed, and tasted fresh. Could have used a little more (or tastier) pizza sauce though. This is just under a 3.5 for me. Probably not my pick for best pizza in the area, but Paisano's has a great price and location combination, and is definitely a fine choice if you're in the mood for a quick pizza (I should mention that they also deliver!). I wouldn't mind coming back again for more pizza, or maybe to try the garlic knots and calzones. read more

I ordered a pizza online at noon on a Friday, expecting it to take the full 40 minutes for delivery. After an hour, I called and was assured that the pizza was on its way. After another 20 minutes with no pizza, I call and say I'd like to cancel the order. First I'm told to wait to speak to the manager but then the same person comes back on and says okay, sorry about that. They didn't ask why I wanted to cancel, or offer any explanation or suggest a discount instead. So I hang up and another 10 minutes later the pizza arrives. I tell him I cancelled it and he just says it's been a busy day. If they would've told me that they would discount the pizza, I would've paid, tipped the guy and ate the cold thing. For the second time in a month the driver's car broke down the assistant manager delivered the food after walking however long in the cold. They almost always forget something - dressing, sides of sauce (that I pay extra for and don't call to get a $0.50 cent refund), soda (on 3 consecutive occasions)...you get the picture. My most recent experience was just barely edible, which is where I think I'll draw the line. I ordered chicken parm and it was just awful. I have been a really good about it even when they called to tell me one night they didn't have anymore drivers to deliver food and cancelled my order. I've picked up from Paisano's at least a dozen times now. This place is great! The staff have always been very friendly and the manager is super helpful and quick to take care of you. So far I've had the spinach, garlic, chicken pizza, garlic knots, Caesar salad, Stromboli, and their hot wings. I've never had anything that wasn't great. If you're uncertain of what to get I highly recommend the aforementioned pizza as a great entry to this place!
