I'm just going to settle on 3 stars here, an average of all my experiences. Long story short, if…read moreyou go to the ER while you are here or shortly after, you have to immediately return with a copy of a doctor's note or email it. You need to do this asap and specify freezes on all services. If you have Kids Klub, END IT. I went to Vivian who was there the last time I had an ER visit a couple years ago: this past December, I was injured again suddenly on site during a training appointment (due to my body/health situation, not my trainer or an exercise injury) and I let her know I was getting a ride to the ER this time instead of an ambulance, since it was a was a touch less urgent. She was responsive this day and seemed to enter the freezes correctly. I dropped off the first note 2 days later to support a freeze for a couple months since a major surgery would get scheduled. I was told I had an 8" growth and cancer in my blood and had to wait the entire winter holidays for further info until doctors were back in the hospital. A few weeks later the billing began... I called Vivian and mentioned my bank was informed of my condition and knew to not pay the bills until a certain date. She laughed and said I'd be billed later anyways. I felt like "I have cancer again, I could die this time with this huge growth. She's laughing at me." I know it was not personal, but forgive me, I'll never forget the feeling of thinking I might die and getting this is the response while asking for help. My health is poor after surviving breast cancer treatments in 2020 and they wrecked parts of my body but eradicated an aggressive form of breast cancer. I don't want to go into how bad the type is, but the odds are very bad with that type and they use the highest doses of their most aggressive chemo to eradicate the cancer. That's why I struggle and have gone to the ER twice in a couple years. But working out improves my condition, so it's essential. I'm so glad I found out a few days later that the current ER test was a misdiagnosis. I eventually received a big surgery, recovered and called in to sort out the bills that were waiting for me. Because I was experienced in navigating the disorganized billing practices, it was a smaller bill this time. I reached a teleservice rep who had her manager Mark look into it and it was fixed after 3 phone calls for a full refund. I know it's not personal. But I've decided that clearly this is not customer service at all. This is just workers, protecting themselves and the company and you just have to advocate super quick, do the footwork and calls and take notes, document, stay on it, trust nothing, stay positive and confirm and be persistent. Most businesses exhibit hospitality and customer service at an average level. Often if a medical incident occurs you'll get a compassionate response and excellent customer care. Not here, you will get compassion at first and solutions that fall through. Then they will lose confidence and be strained but still attempt to help. Eventually, it requires an escalation and manager intervention to correct the situation. The in-gym customer service experience will be good about situational things like everyday interactions. But if your issue has ANYTHING to do with billing, there is no safety net no matter how serious your medical situation. Had I only had a normal membership instead of a training membership too, I probably could have just canceled or never been the wiser. I'm actually hopeful no one ever has to experience this zone that they are weak at. But if you do, stay flexible, positive, and stay on it. Good luck and good health! I saw billing fees,

When I started the fundamentals he explained everything in the level where my brain and body can and will understand all the moves and techniques in order for me to move on and join the group. He is very knowledgeable not only in the field of CrossFit but also in the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Before joining CrossFit I was a bit scared and felt intimidated thinking that only "buff" athletic people are the one who joins CrossFit and they might make me feel out of place but I was wrong. At Redux CrossFit Vallejo everyone is very welcoming and friendly! Friendly to a point that you will feel like some of them are already family. My number one concern before was child care, after doing my research no CrossFit around my area offers daycare but at Redux CrossFit Vallejo everyone is welcome to bring their kids. The kids play in front of the area were we do our workout and all the mom and dad help each other eyeing the kids. The area is a big sports complex, somedays the kids play inside the soccer field area with only 3 exits that are located in front of the workout area. Don't worry they are safe! (Just bring snacks for them ). Workout hours start as early as 5 am and the latest is at 6:30 pm. Aside from the head coach Dave, there are 3 more coaches that teach around the clock, different days for the whole week Monday thru Saturday. But every experience so far has been great! There's plenty of cardio machines available at all times. From what I've seen people are respectful and wipe down the equipment after use. The biggest bonus is you can bring a guest with you every time. It's like a two in one membership! In the multiples times I've been here I've only seen one machine out of service. Certain machines are very popular/almost always in use like the assisted pull up. I think there may only be one of those. There's a vending machine with drinks available. The people working at the front have been polite. Be warned there are signs not to leave any valuables in the lockers. Keep them with you at all times. Even in early-mid January this gym wasn't that crowded.

Currently there is a urinal out of order, it has been out of order for 3 months. Previously the only other urinal was out of order and had not been addressed or cleaned . It was disgusting. Stale urine sitting for weeks is not acceptable in a public restroom. I have encountered hair in the sinks, toothpaste on the countertop, unclean floors and the showers smell like mildew/mold. I would never use the showers or lockers for fear of disease or bugs. This facility is absolutely repulsive. Do better Planet Fitness Vallejo!

One thing I really like is that this is the only gym I've been to where my car has never been vandalized. At other gyms in Vallejo I've had my windows smashed, but never here. I'm not sure if it's because of the location or because the security guards are always walking the parking lot, but it definitely gives me peace of mind. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the gym is clean, and they've been doing a lot of renovations lately. The equipment is well maintained, and the machines are rarely out of order. My only complaint is that the main weight room is a little small and can get crowded during peak hours. Other than that, it's a great gym, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Ms Alisa tells me that they don't allow us to speak to a managers unless it's something they can't handle. I said well I just asked to speak to one because I figured I would have to go through them to get some insight on how i should move forward about the potential membership there. Then she proceeds to say yeah that's not how that works and I'm only allowed to talk to a manager if she can't help me with the voice of arrogance that was just beyond me. At this point I'm wondering what's with the attitude and arrogance. Then she also proceeds to say I'm the only one there anyway. I couldn't get a word in edgewise because she was so focused being the manager police. I'm also thinking like a 35,000 square foot gym has only one person there. At this point I was completely turned off and said i would I just call back. Top flight Alisa has me totally reconsidering getting membership here if that's the culture of this place. Maybe she thought i was calling with a complaint, idk. However that attitude should've been checked at the door before she got to work.

I had scheduled appts for "new member orientation" and "design your own program" online for my first workout day. I received emails confirming my enrollment for these sessions, and even got reminder emails the day before my appts. When I arrived, I was helped by Jeremiah at the front desk. He very nicely informed me that the trainer that was supposed to lead my appts was no longer working there. There was nothing to be done to change that, but it would have been helpful if I had been informed ahead of time that the appts weren't going to happen, as I'd had to change plans around in my day to accommodate these scheduled appts at the gym. I hope the class schedule will be corrected to reflect when there is and isn't staff available.

Curious as I was I decided to check it out and sure enough the Planet Fitness is at the old 99 cent store location. Everything at this gym is brand new new. All the equipment are new, flooring and restrooms all brand new new. I spoke to the lady up front and she said they just opened up two weeks ago. On a Sunday it's not bad over here was not too crowded. They have pretty much everything they do at the Sonoma location but I feel like this location is just a bit smaller. The one thing I noticed that they have got the Springs Town location that they don't have on Sonoma is the the CryoLounge. This is a machine that can both freeze off one part of your body, while heat up another part which is great for targeting certain muscle pains. Trust me, this machine can get really cold! Overall it was a nice experience checking out this new location. Hopefully it will thin out the crowd at the Sonoma location a bit because that location be packed sometimes M-F especially after everyone gets off work.
