Be careful of their membership policies…read more I understand that contracts and policies exist, and I don't blame the employees, but Crunch Fitness as a company has been incredibly disappointing. I'm currently unemployed with a child, so I tried to pause my membership because I simply can't make it to the gym right now. Even though I haven't been able to use the gym, I'm still expected to pay an annual fee I genuinely cannot afford. When I decided to cancel instead, I was told I'd still have to pay for another month because of a 30-day notice policy. I don't understand why a gym that is already overcrowded needs 30 days notice for someone to stop using it. I even tried downgrading my membership to make the next payment cheaper, but there's a fee for that too. Maybe all of this was buried somewhere in the contract, but these policies feel extremely predatory, especially with how hard things are financially for so many people right now. And before they respond, please reach out to us directly I did. I wish I looked online before joining.

Positives of the gym *Equipment, has a lot free weight and…read moremachines, boxing bags, and more. * Proper hygiene, the gym is majority of the time is clean, when I'm there. Negative of the gym *No space. There will be sometimes you're close to bumping into people, depending where you are at in the gym. Every time of the day from 5am to 11pm the gym is always crowded. This also causes the gym to produce too much heat also, if you have any medical problems like asthma be aware this. If you use machines a lot for your workouts, and have limited time to be at a gym, this could be a problem for you also. *The parking lot. This gym shares a small parking lot with multiple businesses, which make parking more difficult. * Multiple private classes at the same time in a small gym. At first I didn't mind the classes, especially in a room, but when I was told to leave and found a different spot in the gym outside of that room, I was told again to leave because another class was taking up the space. This new spot was not in a designated room, it was part of the open space of the gym. * Private classes controlling a room for multiple hours. Personally I had the day off and wanted to go gym. Went to an empty room and started a workout and was later kick out, because of a class. I didn't have problem and decided to do another workout somewhere else, after a hour and forty five minutes passed the class was still there. I didn't complain I left and thought to myself I'll come back later to do that workout, even though it was 8:00am I started that workout in that room. I later come back, same day and the room was empty, started the workout and surprised I was kicked out of the room again, by a private class. I recognize even other people at the gym were complaining about this problem. Summary: This is a good gym, multiple free weights, other equipments and proper cleanliness of the gym, but limited on space on the size of the gym, and multiple private classes that may intervene into your workouts. If you have the option to find something else, especially nearby your place, I highly recommend you to look elsewhere.

The owner (Tyler) appeared welcoming the first time we've met, but after an incident that occurred at his business he showed poor judgement and little to no concerns. The young fighter Bryson with the colored hair felt the need to pull a gun after suggesting that he wanted to spar with me and I said ok let's go. (Bryson Turnbow) @jbqt_ was collaborating with us for content creation. This was setup by my business-partner who often helps him as she's thoughtful as an amazing person. This collaboration required him holding pads while we record a few combos. Less than two minutes into holding pads while I punched lightly to see if we had chemistry, his attitude became sour towards me. Once I saw his body language I stopped and immediately had a conversation to let him know we aren't competitors and this is just some mittwork, he exited the ring and took a seat on the bench for another 2 minutes before I asked him if he wanted to try catching punches while I throw a little harder. He said yes, entered the ring again, and we started working. I was using approximately 50 % of my power and I thought he was doing well on the pads. Like most coaches and fighters, you'd see the trainer throw a slap as the fighter here and there with the pads while they work and Bryson did exactly that, which I was ok with as I'm experienced and defended. We got into a little play, he threw punches and i used a few feints and non-contact decoy jabs to throw him off. Soon after he mentioned getting his gloves to spar with me and I welcomed it. I even asked him if he wanted to get protective gears for safety. He said no, I said ok but let me change to a 18oz gloves as I was wearing a smaller 10 Oz gloves at that time. I honestly thought he wanted to spar to help settle his nerves. Maybe trying to land on me would've been a nice little challenge for him, unfortunately! He decided to get a GUN instead and this surprised me and my business-partner. His drama was uttered in nasty words, such as; Get the fuq outta his gym. This is his hood. I think I'm better than everyone else because I have FOLLOWERS and so much more. We did not escalate things and he refused to be calm to have a conversation. Our final decision was to leave the gym and take necessary action regarding the matter. I wouldn't recommend this gym as a safe place for children or anyone looking for a positive community. While i hope others wouldn't experience this, Reports to California boxing committee and USA Boxing is necessary.

Before joining CrossFit I was a bit scared and felt intimidated thinking that only "buff" athletic people are the one who joins CrossFit and they might make me feel out of place but I was wrong. At Redux CrossFit Vallejo everyone is very welcoming and friendly! Friendly to a point that you will feel like some of them are already family. My number one concern before was child care, after doing my research no CrossFit around my area offers daycare but at Redux CrossFit Vallejo everyone is welcome to bring their kids. The kids play in front of the area were we do our workout and all the mom and dad help each other eyeing the kids. The area is a big sports complex, somedays the kids play inside the soccer field area with only 3 exits that are located in front of the workout area. Don't worry they are safe! (Just bring snacks for them ). Workout hours start as early as 5 am and the latest is at 6:30 pm. Aside from the head coach Dave, there are 3 more coaches that teach around the clock, different days for the whole week Monday thru Saturday. However, I did not join this facility. Class: The instructor was motivating and the cardio sculpt class really made me feel the burn. I came on a Wednesday night (the last class) it was fairly empty - I think everyone comes for the kickboxing since I came early to sign up (no one was at the front desk so I just awkwardly watched for 15 minutes). Some thoughts I had: It's not your average gym, there are weights and equipment in the back but I'm not sure if it's open to everyone of just those taking private lessons. The main area is a large open cardio floor great for group workouts which is what it is. Most people workout barefoot or with indoor/solely for the gym kind of shoes only. Not sure if I am a personal fan because it seems unclean/dangerous if a weight is dropped on the foot. As a transformation gym, I was interested in kickstarting my health and getting toned.- possibly even their bikini comp programs - I thoroughly checked the website and was interested in their nutrition program especially as well. I stayed after the class and had the opportunity to meet Mark. Nice guy but when I asked him about the programs and he just kept telling me to look on the website which didn't provide much information about their nutrition format or how the body tracking/goal setting works. I really wanted to love this place and was ready to sign up right then and there but didn't feel like I would get the support I was looking for just based on my first interaction. I signed up with Orange Theory instead.

I highly recommend the Muay Thai class for adults and for kids! It's a great workout (Warning: You will sweat a river =P) plus if you're into the fight game, this is the perfect class to get you started. Coach Dino is awesome and he'll keep you on balls of your feet! Literally! =) Also check out the Taebo and Boxing classes as well. I believe they offer Zumba too. You'll love it!

I loved that Denise, AJ, and Cheryl really kick your butt to house/Vegas/EDM style music. I also love the boxing class. The place itself does not look fancy but it is what it is = a kick ass place to get your cardio in along with fighting classes for all ages. I think its great they also hold occasional challenges (most fat loss/most weight loss) and have prizes such as free membership for a period of time, etc. I find it very hard to believe that this gym or any other would charge you for 4 months after the fact-- I canceled mine when I moved and did not experience such an issue. I did however buy the 10-pass class for when I do visit my family on the weekends and can get a cardio workout in. I say try it for yourself. There are all kinds/sorts of people here: thick, thin, young, older, beginners, novice, expert. You'll fit in no matter what shape you are in.

The workout is awesome and I feel great after each time. I have lost a little over 10 lbs since starting and my endurance has shot through the roof.
