So much fun! Everyone there is so nice! They offer lessons and beginner classes so it's really easy to pick up and play!

This is the best place to play pickleball in the Houston area. It's run by great people and every level player can enjoy this.

The courts outside are slanted, which makes them unusable. Besides the courts, the organized play wasn't very organized.

I haven't used the pool, only occasionally used the weight room and have not rented a room in the community center so I will limit my review to tennis activities. I play tennis there every week. Alfredo and Ivette Rivera have a great active adult and youth tennis program. Private lessons and drills are available, usually ran by Alfredo, Ricky Serrano (great guy and strong player) and Ivette. Alfredo has all kinds of experience teaching. He has made my game better. I have friends that have their children in their youth program and they have no complaints. This is truly the best part of the facility. Tennis drills are conducted on a regular basis, Saturday and Sunday. I think they have some during the week, as well. Once you get connected the pros send out a group text for drills and emails for mixers and tournaments that are held periodically. League teams from USTA and North Houston Suburban Tennis League play out of here, ladies, men and mixed. The courts are kept in good shape and resurfaced when needed. Unfortunately, like most parks in Houston, they will flood from time to time. No one can help that. The only issue is the lights. They have started to upgrade to LED but haven't finished. I'm sure they will get to it and Hurricane Harvey may have delayed some projects. Overall great neighborhood club with skilled friendly staff and good friendly tennis players that live in the area. Try it out if you or your kids are interested. Tennis is a great social activity and you will thoroughly enjoy the sport at Forest Oaks.

My wife and I recently joined this LA Fitness and have had a really good experience so far. One of…read morethe people who helped us get started was Landon, and he made the whole process pretty easy. To be honest, when we first walked in I was half expecting the typical gym sales pitch. But that wasn't the case at all. The conversation was actually pretty relaxed. We talked about our goals, what kind of workouts we were looking to do, and what would realistically fit into our schedules. Landon helped us get plugged into the personal training program, and what I appreciated most was that it didn't feel pressured. He explained the options, answered our questions, and let us decide what made sense for us. Another thing that has been really helpful is the flexibility with training schedules. My wife and I both have busy weeks sometimes, so being able to adjust times when needed has made it much easier to stay consistent. Overall it's just been a really comfortable and straightforward experience getting started there. The gym itself has plenty of equipment, and the staff we've interacted with have all been friendly. If you're thinking about joining and want to try the personal training side of things, Landon has been great to work with so far.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at this LA Fitness Signature location. I'm already a…read moremember and normally go to a different location, but my wife and I stopped by to check this gym out since she was interested in seeing the facility. Unfortunately, our experience with Mya at the front desk was very unwelcoming. She came across as disrespectful and made us feel like we were being pushed away rather than welcomed. She specifically had my wife wait at the front while she only allowed me to take the tour by myself. I don't understand why she couldn't have offered to give both of us a tour, whether my wife was already a member or not. My wife was actually planning on signing up, but after the way we were treated, we will not be returning to this location. A simple friendly introduction, better communication, and a willingness to show us the facility together would have made a completely different impression. As a current member, I expected a better level of customer service. I hope management addresses this because potential new members and existing members should feel welcomed when they walk through the doors. My son wanted to try tennis for the first time, so we signed him up for their spring break camp. At…read morethe time he had just turned 7 so I was a little nervous to leave him by himself for an entire day, but by the end of the day he was going on and on about how much fun he had. The facilities were very nice and tidy. They have a little cafe where he was able to get a hot lunch if he wanted. The coaches were all passionate and personable with him and he learned so much. We are signing him up for their summer program and he is so excited for summer camp!

I had high expectations for Giammalva Racquet Club, but my experience was far from what I…read moreanticipated. It presents itself as an elite academy on paper, yet it fails to deliver the hospitality and facilities required for hosting high-level national tournaments. I attended a nationals tournament where players from across the country, ranked in the top three of their USTA sections, gathered to compete. Unfortunately, this was the worst nationals experience I've had, and I will not return, regardless of the event's level. Here are the key issues I encountered: - **Lack of Atmosphere**: Unlike other national tournaments, there were no decorations, banners, or photo opportunities. The facility felt outdated and uninviting. - **Staff Attitude**: While the food staff were friendly, the lounge was dirty, with torn and cracked seating. Staff members often engaged in loud personal conversations instead of maintaining a professional environment. - **Inadequate Amenities**: The facility offered no Wi-Fi for players and guests to use while waiting between matches. The courts were in poor condition, with numerous cracks needing repair, which is unacceptable for a national event. - **Insufficient Restrooms**: With only two toilets and one urinal for hundreds of players and their guests, the situation was dire. They refused to open locker rooms for additional restroom access, expecting players to pay a guest fee just to change or shower--what a money-driven approach. - **Poor Communication**: During rain delays, the club scheduled matches for 7 a.m. on Sunday, despite the rain causing delays until nearly 8:45. There was no text communication to inform players of the delays, which could have saved many a 45-minute drive. Overall, the Giammalva Racquet Club did not showcase its facility in the best light, nor did it make guests feel welcome. With the main courts under construction and many issues persisting, it's apparent that the management does not prioritize the guest experience. Many other players echoed my sentiments, expressing they would not return if the event were held here again. It's disheartening to see such a lack of care in a facility that hosts national events. USTA, please do better.
