    Masita (cookie dough) ice cream

One of the best ice cream places in the Kansas City area. All of their flavors are fantastic. Portions are generous. If you're not an ice cream lover, they have plenty of other options such as smoothies, fruit, etc. Service is really good. Great to be able to support a local business.

This was my second time having paleterias Tropicana I haven't tried the ice cream yet but I've had the street tacos both times they were just ok the second time I had them which was yesterday wasn't that good at all , not much flavor and I asked for hot sauce and she said the red one was hot and the green was the mild well it wasn't at all hot , it had no spice whatsoever it had a smoky taste to it but no spice , I was disappointed and for the price it was a big waste of money ! I got two carna asada and two el Pastor tacos and the Elote which was also not spicy, I don't think I'd go back to get any food but I would try the ice cream or one of the juices .

We were greeted right away and the service was quick, which was a relief after seeing the drive-thru! We ordered two small concretes: one with Oreos and cookie dough, the other with cheesecake and mixed nuts. The Oreo/cookie dough combo good. The cheesecake one, though, was kind of a letdown. The mixed nuts totally overpowered it, and honestly, I couldn't even tell if there was cheesecake in it at all. Overall quick service and the walk-up option definitely saved the day. We'll be back but I'll skip the nuts next time.

I love that they have a conscious and labeled menu- ranging from vegan to keto to gluten-free options. (Thanks for that!) The flavors have such fun names; Estes' fave name is Golddigger, since that sums up the freeloading life of a spoiled and very loved dog (that was also his dad's fave flavor ) What a great spot in Briarcliffe Village. We will definitely be back!

It was quite busy when we stopped in nevertheless the staff was very friendly and happy to let us sample flavors before ordering, which I appreciated. The one thing that really stood out was the price ... and not in a good way. We paid $16 for two scoops of ice cream, which felt pretty outrageous for what we got. I truly enjoy supporting local businesses, and I understand that rising costs and high rent can play a role, but it still didn't feel worth it. I didn't rate them too low based on that because they're doing a great job! If you're going for the atmosphere and experience, it could be a fun stop. But if you're thinking about value for money, it may come across as a bit underwhelming.

I…read morepre ordered a birthday cake for pick up, when i arrived no one had a clue where it was. After being told they may "find it" I was told that someone forgot to make it. They offered to make it within the next 20 minutes, I let them know I needed to drive three girls to their birthday party and would come back for the cake. I got a call 30 minutes later saying that the cake could not be made because my order did not come in in time. After finally tracking down and speaking to the manager, she told me there was a "glitch in the system" and that my order actually never came in. None of this could possibly be true, being as my receipt was in the shop when I arrived. They all acknowledged that my order had arrived at the store, but no one bothered making it. Avoid this place at all cost. While I was waiting around a woman arrived asking for a dairy free option, the girl behind the counter said she did not know if they had one, and offered "sugar free". I walked over and pointed out the dairy free option to the woman who came in. I don't work there, but standing there for 10 minutes I was more versed in the produce than their paid employees. Absolute train wreck of a business. I ended up driving frantically to Hyvee to grab last minute cakes as opposed to having nothing. This was supposed to be a too tier dessert treat for a special occasion. What a profound disappointment.
