Great food and service! I ordered the lamb over rice and it was some of the best halal food I've ever had!

We shared the 5 Piece Whiting, Lamb Gyro, and Chicken Gyro Pita Combos and loved them all especially the meat, fish, fried, and veggies.

You can adjust the heat (we chose medium) and the portions are generous. Keep in mind that Thai food can be extremely spicy, so choose wisely :D I can't get over how exceptional everything tasted. I remember it being good but not like this. The chicken tasted CLEAN (this requires a full-blown conversation to explain) and had the perfect bite. If you're ordering takeout then make sure to mix the noodles before eating. The samosas were PERFECT. Is it pricier than other places? Yes. Does the taste match the price? Also yes. Keep in mind that sometimes it's because of the ingredient quality and where it comes from. Some are simply more expensive than others. My attitude towards Thai food is a bit of a love/hate situation, but Amina just might put me back on the love wagon. Some places have this overwhelming fishy taste in everything, which I truly hate. From the depths of my soul. Oh yes, and it's also Halal. Bonus :D Order some takeout or dine in, whatever tickles your fancy, and enjoy!

That was me here…read more This Pike & Rose gem in North Bethesda is everything you hope for in a neighborhood spot -- fresh, imaginative Mediterranean-inspired food, a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, and the kind of place you immediately start planning to revisit. Everything I tried was fantastic, from the perfectly prepared chicken kebabs to the cod with farro. The blackberry vodka cocktail was beautiful and delicious, and the saffron steamed milk with ginger for dessert was absolute perfection. The entire concept feels current, welcoming, and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. Can't wait to return the next time I'm back in town for meetings!

Although he will lead most times, I pick one place every weekend so we can check it off together. This Friday (5/16) I picked Julii! He's a regular so although super packed they made it work and sat us immediately without a reservation. This place is popular and a reservation is needed. While I thought the menu was limited, it does the job. I wanted Branzino and had that in my mind the whole day but was disappointed that it wasn't on the menu. Welp, y'all know I love a burger. Service was fantastic! Ambiance feels like stepping into a French‑Mediterranean boutique café that someone elevated into a luxury dining room. It's warm, intimate, and softly glamorous without trying too hard. Let's get into it! Chicken Kabob - Seasoned perfectly over rice! Really good! Burger - Added bacon and mushrooms- Absolutely delicious! Drinks were delicious! No apps because I wasn't that hungry! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

So, it's been a while since my family and I last went out to eat at a restaurant, and we landed on…read morethis one since it was both nearby and the prices reasonable for the fare that they offer. My wife and I had been here for lunch before and had a good experience, so this time we figured why not check it out for dinner? Turns out, it was a great idea. The wait for the food was a bit on the longer end, but to be perfectly fair, we ordered a LOT, so we certainly didn't mind. By the time the food hit the table, we forgot about it almost entirely because the smells of freshly made kitfo, lamb tibs, and this stewed chicken dish whose name I can't remember (but it came with a hardboiled egg!) hit our nose, nothing else mattered. The food was presented in a way that somehow matched the overall vibe of the restaurant, which at this time of night was set to be kinda toned down with dingy lighting and smooth music. Huge call out to my waiter that I curse myself for not getting his name, because he is, simply put, the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. Not only was he timely and discreet about topping off our waters, but also checked in about soft drinks as well, and when he heard my son saying the food was too spicy for him, he took it upon himself to get him something else to eat that wasn't spicy at all, and without myself or my wife asking. If you're looking for a great place to eat with a killer atmosphere and even better service, you've found it.

I had another destination in mind, but when I saw the sign that said they had indian, nepalese, and…read moreEthiopian food, I stopped in my tracks. It wasn't a platter type of night, but both Indian and Ethiopian cuisines have some great appetizers, so we stopped in after a movie. It was cool to see the breakdown of a vibey bar scene on one side and a sit down area on the other period both sides had the World Cup showing, so there was really no going wrong. The woman who greeted us led us to decide where we wanted to go. According to their hours, they are open until 1AM. We decided to get the stuffed naan basket, sambusas, and chicken momos -- A nice but fairly light spread for the evening. We or later told that they were finished with the naan basket... For an Indian restaurant more than 3 hours before they closed, that was surprising to me... I should have specified whether it was naan in general or just that basket, but still. The other two items came after 25 minutes or so. The sambusas were fried HARD, but had a great flavor. The momos were solid! We had a good time catching up, and they did great keeping water refilled (mostly). It took a while to close out -- they probably thought we were invested in the game and not in a hurry, but it's a weeknight and we were on Metro's time. I am curious about their proper Indian and Ethiopian entrees ... By the way, I saw a mouse right before we left... It was in the back on the dining room side past the tables.

The fried chicken is mid and you just wish you'd gone to a more traditional place. Other options right now are Krazi Burrito, Krazi Chick, and Krazi Kebob. There's also a new Boba place too. It looks like there used to be a coffee shop and a salad place, or something like that, so just be aware that the kitchen space may change up. We ordered 2 Kati Rolls (paneer and lamb kofta) from Krazi Kebob. We did Chappli Kabob, a Kabob Roll, and the Lamb Chop platter from The Kabob Joint. And we did the Thai tea and Chai tea from the boba shop. For the Kabob Joint: The Kabob roll was a real winner and the Chappli Kabob in the spicy green sauce was super. I wish the edges would have been a little crispier, but very good. We haven't had the Lamb Chop yet but there's a ton of food in their platters. For the Krazi Kabob, the paneer roll wasn't super spicy but was very tasty and I'd definitely get it again. The lamb was good too but I preferred the paneer. Highly recommend ordering in advance or with delivery; there isn't anywhere to sit and eat of course, and everything is made to order, so expect about a 20 minute wait if you walk in and order from the kiosk inside. Overall, great food and a cool business model for the area. In addition to the above, I'd probably get the Masala Fries next time and would consider the samosa chaat as a deconstructed samosa bowl.
