I'm in Laurel Maryland, I hit one spot right. Since I'm out here (which is not often), I decided to go to another spot!! Let's go get some Peruvian chicken!! . Where I am: @palacioperu . Location Reviewed: 931 Washington Blvd, Laurel M.D. . Menu Includes: *See Website* https://order.online/store/553728?slug=palacio-de-peru . Items Reviewed: Their Steak n Cheese Combo (with steak, green peppers, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, & cheese, with fries $11.99). DELICIOUS. The steak was a tad tough, but did its job. The Fries...DELICIOUS. Dip these in a sauce!! Their Chicken Quesadilla (with chicken, cheese, sour cream, green sauce, & pico $8.99). DELICIOUS. Good, I just needed more flavor. Their Mango Juice $3.25, & Inca Cola $1.75 STAMP!! Refreshing mango juice, & I've always love Inca cola!! Their Lomo Saltado (with steak, red, & green peppers, & red onions, sitting on a bed of fries with gravy $21.99). LIKE THAT!! Well seasoned, plentiful, try it!! Their Half Char Broiled Chicken (half a char broiled bird with white, & green sauces, Mac n cheese, & creamy spinach $15.99). STAMP!! Smoky, juicy, meaty!! Get the chicken!! The Mac n cheese DELICIOUS. Good try...it was ok. The Creamy Spinach...LIKE THAT! Spicy, creamy, good!! Their Fried Rice ($3.50). DECENT. It was dry, & I needed more flavor. . Customer Service: On Point . Online Navigation: Easy. . Parking: Decent. . Music: YouTube-Backyard Band Pocket . Recommendations: Get the chicken!! . Accessibility: It's wheelchair friendly, & it's differently abled persons friendly. 5 Stars=STAMP 4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT 4 Stars=DELICIOUS 3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS 1 Star=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Tuesday 7/16/2024 Made a pickup order and got a whole chicken with plantains and French fries $27 and a large side order of fried rice $5. The service was quick and easy and they also gave me an additional 1/4 (quarter) chicken which is very much appreciated. The chicken was good and the sauces were decent as well. The French fries were average and DRY but definitely benefited from having ketchup with them. The plantains were decent but would've been much better if they had a softer texture. The fried rice was alright. Overall, this was a solid Peruvian experience. In my opinion, It's not better than Sardis but it's a place I would recommend and be open to returning to in the future.

Absolutely love this place! The workers are kind and super fast, very friendly! They are delicious, best chicken in Laurel in my personal opinion, I always bring my friends to eat here, even my family knows this place! Definitely becoming a frequent customer, the place is quiet and it has bathrooms!

The food was great the chicken was seasoned to the bone. The veggies were perfectly cooked not too soft and they were crunchy. The plantains were super soft and soooo yummmy. The service was quick and everyone was very nice.

TIP: Craving Peruvian food with generous tasty portions, order carry out or dine in. ORDER: * Half Chicken * Half chicken rotisserie style cooked to perfection. You have side options from rice, coleslaw, beans, veggies and more. We went with rice and coleslaw. The chicken was delicious and the rice was fresh. The coleslaw was flavorful. * Lomo Saltado * Beef pieces, tomatoes, onions, and peppers smothered in sauce accompanied with fries and rice. This is my one of my favorites when it comes to Peruvian food. The beef was tender, the tomatoes were so good and no mushy. Each bite dipped in the sauce was chef's kiss. SERVICE: The customer service was good. They were patient with us while we reviewed the menu full of a plethora of food options. Burritos, bisteak, chicken, ceviche, to name a few. SUMMARY: Peruvian is one of my favorites ao when I come across a Peruvian restaurant, I always make it a point to try it. The food here is delicious, the restaurant is spacious and the bathrooms are clean. Don't miss your chance on enjoying some wholesome Peruvian dishes

Pretty good chicken! I stopped here on a whim because I super hungry, and it was at the entrance of a shopping center. There were a few people in line, but they had it pretty spaced out- respecting Covid rules The chicken and sides are on display , so it was a fast order. On the other hand, the chicken taco bowl was made fresh, and took a little longer to prepare. Both were really good and I enjoyed. I gave less a star because some of the side orders looked a little dry sitting under the light, which was not a good sight. However, the plantains and fries were really good! I know where I can stop for a quick bite when I am in the area.

    1/4 chicken, yucca, plantains

I finally made my way in here and I have to say that I don't have to go to Sardi's really anymore. The chicken was most and just cooked and seasoned well. The plantains were so soft and creamy and my favorite part of the meal. The yucca was also cooked perfectly, as I know it can sometimes be dry (these were not at all). I also got the macaroni and cheese which looks really good, but was only okay. I probably wouldn't order it again because I think they put oregano in it........ Like why? Whatever not my style, but they had the right idea based on the way it's cooked. They were quick and ready to serve. Clean restaurant! Great portion sizes! 2 things I didn't like. Getting plantains as a side was an extra $.50.... Annoying. You only get 2 of the tiniest sauces. I love how Sardi's sauces are bigger. They need to get on that same tip.

I'd say a solid place for some Peruvian chicken. Not amazing, but not bad. Of course my comparison is my fav, Sardi's. Sardi's chicken has more flavor in general, but this place's wasn't bad. It's not bland, but not the most flavorful. Hubby days skin is crispier. I didn't notice but maybe he ate all the skin. White meat was a little drier but it was kind of empty when we went, and it looked like there was chicken sitting there for who knows how long do turnover might not be as great. Fried rice was alright. Plantains were pretty good (hubby days better than Sardi's) however, the most annoying thing is that nowhere in the store is it noted that plantains are 50 cents extra. They don't even tell you when you order, only when you pay they charge you. Sardi's has better fried rice (with beands on top) and more sides. Lomo saltado was decent with pretty good flavor (hubby days sauce is better than Sardi's). Overall, I'd still prefer Sardi's in terms of flavor and moistness of chicken. They also have some more options like anticuchos. But it's not a bad place if you're in the area and don't want to drive all the way to college park or Glen Burnie for sardi's

    Chicken Taco Salad

For starters, I was starving and this place had a chicken aroma that beckoned my growling stomach in from the shopping center outside. When we walked in, we were greeted upon entry. It took a few minutes to decipher the menu and break down what I could and could not have. As a health nut, if I'm going to eat out, I prefer fresh ingredients. Palacio de Peru hit the mark. I settled on a chicken taco salad. While waiting for my food, they were wiping down and straightening up continuously. The place was clean and smelled like fresh food. I watched the woman fry my taco shell. Although I did not see her change the grease, it smelled like it was, as they flash fried it. We waited for a few minutes as they made our food. I didn't mind as it appears Covid social distancing measures were in full effect. Everyone handling food was wearing gloves. I can not stress enough how clean and safe this place was. They show you your food like all good carry outs often do and mine was so beautiful. I quickly collected my prize food and headed to my car to sanitize and devour it. All of the ingredients were crunchy and fresh. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful that I couldn't stop eating despite my stomach telling me how full it was. I just could not stop eating. I will be going back and next time I plan on trying the chick peas. It was delicious!!!

Aji de Gallina- absolutely AMAZING! French fries are under the Gallina..

You have to be buzzed in and the dining room is literally the size of my living room. Very intimate. The food was superb. Stellar. Outstanding. Truly, each course was delicious, with layers of flavor and unexpected combinations. The ceviche in an intensely limey coconut broth started off the meal and I thought that if everything else sucked I would still be happy. But the dishes kept getting better. I did not anticipate enjoying veal heart skewers, but they were smoky and very reminiscent of good carne asada. The purple corn tamale was a very interesting mix of heavier corn with light ahi tuna. And even the little bowl of plantain chips they bring out first was excellent. This is a set menu, 5 courses on the weekdays and 6 on the weekends, and is a bring your own alcohol set up. As a result, there is almost no interaction with the waitress, and the food just arrives, but it is timed very well, with reasonable periods between courses.

I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.

I went here a few times in the first year living in Russett including in November 2020 as it was just up the road to Hanover. My parents & I enjoyed the chicken at the time when they visited the week of Thanksgiving. Their chicken was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. It's no Don Pollo, Sardi's, or others, but it does the good and was convenient at times. The last time I went to Lima's was in October 2024. It was Friday, 10/11/24. I had a Poker night at an acquaintance's place in Arundel Mills area, and this was on the way. I wanted to eat beforehand as I wasn't sure what the food situation was going to be. Ultimately, Lima's kind of pissed me off. I was asking about trying samples of a couple of the sides (as I didn't remember; it had been maybe 2 years since I went), and there was a language barrier, where I had to repeat, which was frustrating. I ate in the restaurant. Cashier was unfriendly, and I realized they charged me 10 cents for the Anne Arundel County's stupid bag tax, or maybe it was Lima's just wanting to charge the fee. It was complete laziness on their part to not ask me whether I was eating in the restaurant or taking it to go. I know it's only 10 cents, but it's the principle of it. I won't return here.
