I always come here for this specifically! Best I've tasted hands down. Welcoming staffs and the other foods/drinks are great. Brought my friend here for the first time and now she's hooked! definitely recommend

I was in the area today, so I thought I would give it a try! The outside is ok, inviting, I guess! But inside, it is just tables and chairs!! No frills at its best! I wanted to get my food to go and when I went to get a menu, the waitress/hostess told me that they don't have takeout menus!! No biggie, I just ordered from the regular menu!! I ordered a beef taco, a chicken taco, a chicken tamale, and a pork and cheese pupusa!! The food was ok!! I found the beef in the taco and the chicken a bit dry. I had to put the green sauce on it that was provided with my order. I sincerely LOVE tamales, so I had to order one! The tamale was good! It was light and flavorful!! There wasn't a lot of chicken in it and it had a slice of potato in it!! I wasn't used to that, but it was still just good!! Not amazing, just good!! The pork and cheese pupusa was good! But I am not IN LOVE! Food was good, but not Amazing!! Just good!

First and last time trying an entree. Carne Asada 11$. No good. Tacos are 2.50$ a piece. My fave is beef tongue taco. Chicken and reg beef is good too. Honduran taco is like.. A taquito with a pickled cabbage dressing on top of it.. Didn't really like. Pupusas are alright.. Just under 2$ a piece.

Three pupusas (1 bean and cheese, 2 loroco and cheese) along with curtido

Service was fast and pupusas fresh and flavorful. Enjoyed the dining area. Price was also appropriate for the portion received.

She was a ray of sunshine and gave us help in deciding on menu items. We both ordered salads. I ordered the crab and shrimp Louis salad. And, my friend ordered a chicken salad. Our salads were huge, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the fresh veggies and poached shrimp. I also liked the surprise sprinkle of Old Bay on my seafood. I wasn't a fan of the crabmeat. The dressing was delicious too. My friend liked her chicken salad. She did say her chicken was a little dry. But, she loved all of the fresh veggies and ended up taking the leftovers home. I also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which was delicious. I mean come on now, you combine Oreo's and cheesecake, that is a winning combination and the whipped cream was amazing. The restaurant itself was bright, colorful, and full of sea themed decor. The booth was comfortable and you get 3 hours of free parking in the garage. Again, thanks Fatima for your excellent service. We will definitely be back.

My personal fav was the crispy shrimp but be careful because they fry them with the tails on (I didn't know that until I was halfway done). My biggest issue was the burger I took to go. I ordered it well done & as you can see it wasn't. I put it in the microwave for like 4 mins and it was fine but omg, I sure was surprised!

I ordered a Bahn Mi Rice Bowl and it was delicious with the right amount of spice and seasoning. I was a little worried about the level of chili in the tofu but was assured Franklins typically keeps it fairly mild...and it was. The fresh mint was lovely mixed with the jasmine rice, carrot ribbons and finely chopped mushrooms. The chili peach jam was a perfect sauce. The restaurant has a lot of character with artwork on the walls and lots of booth seating as well as tables and chairs. There is also outdoor seating at picnic tables at "The Hut" and the Quarantiki Room open seasonally. She pretended that she did and came back with a plate of beef with beef gravy and two biscuits. I had to take several minutes to explain what creamed chipped beef is and she didn't understand (she's hispanic and barely speaks english). After asking for a manager she says there isn't one there? Eventually another server came and finally understood what I wanted. Finally, I got my chipped beef. It was just okay. The taste was different from all the other places that i've ordered it. My girlfriend got over easy eggs with hash browns and toast (off-menu order). She liked it, but it's hard to screw that up anyway. The coffee was decent enough but I've had better. The diner is small and looks like a typical diner. I'm not sure if I'd come back, it was definitely a poor experience this time around.

The service was great and incredibly attentive. Everyone was so nice. I ordered waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and coffee. The waitresses might ask all their questions to ensure it is cooked to our liking. I barely have pictures because I was so famished. We ended up staying for like 2-3 hours talking as the restaurant started to wind down, and they let us sit and chat while we watched the parking wars outside. MY biggest con is the parking. It is annoying that Sardi's catering occupies 30-40% of the lot. There is a fast turnaround, so my friends and I literally sat and waited to catch someone leaving before parking, rather than driving in circles. There is a hotel next door with ample signs that it's for guests only and that you will be towed; however, I still saw people do it and then watch their cars from the window lol. I think this did put a bad stain on my experience bc it took me about 20 minutes to get parking.

My solo reservation was at 10 p.m., which was perfect timing for me. Similar to their former sister restaurant, Huncho House, I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne prior to being seated. The decor and ambiance at 1123 were noticeably more upscale, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. I honestly wish I hadn't waited until their final days to try it. I really wanted the Chuck Rice & Oxtails, but they had just run out. So, I opted for the Lobster Jollof instead, and it was delicious! But the Star of the night was the Charbroiled Oysters. These were, hands down, the best oysters I've ever had in my life! They were deliciously washed down with the Lavender Lotus cocktail. The night ended with the Plantain Bread Pudding. It was very dense, and I didn't really taste much of the plantain flavor. I took two bites, decided it needed some help; maybe soak it in some Baileys Irish Cream at home. Unfortunately, after taking photos, I left my To-Go bag at the restaurant. Overall, I'm glad I finally made it to 1123 before the end of its run in the DMV. It's always a little bittersweet when a restaurant closes.
