I got my pizza delivered and as I take 3 bites, I'm like this really doesn't NOT taste like Gluten free pizza. So I called. They confirmed NOT GKUTEN FREE! Ordered Paladin Pie on DoorDash last night. Worst experience food ever. Got a basic pepperoni pizza and the arugula salad. Pizza crust was charred and black. Inside pizza dough bordered on being doughy. Pizza was so salty it wasn't edible. Not sure if the salt flavor was from the pizza sauce or pepperoni, but it was too much. Nothing worse than biting into a fresh made salad and getting hair in your mouth, especially when it's not yours. We called the food truck and a little empathy towards a ruined dinner would have gone a long way, but all the worker recommended was calling DoorDash to report, and they would let the owner know. This is my all time favorite food cart of any genre and definitely the best pizza I have ever had, every single time I go. The amazing pizza chefs are always extra kind and the things they can make on sourdough live in my dreams. My entire plan for my 30th birthday was to buy a bunch of paladin pie (I live inconveniently far away) and it was a magnificent birthday quest. My only complaint is the house-made ranch isn't sold by the bottle, because it's very hard to go back to store bought after tasting perfection. This is a cute place in a great neighborhood food court. It was cold and raining (What?! It never rains here! :) There is a rainproof covering with a table that includes a warming fire, so we were very comfortable.) We were testing slices on Pi Day, and this was one of our group's stops. Very pleasant and helpful young man helped us here. We ordered a slice of cheese, one of pepperoni and a Druid. The guy was kind enough to cut the slices in thirds so all 3 of us could sample them all. I liked the Druid a lot - great mushrooms on this! The pepperoni slice was generously dotted with pepperoni. I found a sweetness about all 3 slices that I didn't care for. Not sure, but thinking it was the cheese that contributed to this. The ratio of sauce and cheese was consistent on each slice and was fairly ideal. Because we made the request to cut each slice into smaller portions, it would be unfair for me to report on the flop of the slices. Saw the reviews, saw the pics, ordered and put light bake on the notes. I got a burnt horrible pie. The underside was worse. My spouse went to politely take it back. The customer service received was not good at all. They acknowledged the light bake note, rambled on with excuses how they can't control the heat because it's gas. Can't even understand that response. Did not offer a remake or refund. Everyone has their preference, we do not eat burnt carcinogenic pizza nor pieces of wood charcoal wtf. Ended up leaving it in front of their tables as a donation. We were told to go to their other location where the pie doesn't come out burnt with pieces of wood charcoal inbedded on the bottom. Delicious wood fire pizza in Portland! This place did NOT disappoint! This was our first stop to grab something quick and nearby and we're glad we did. Pizza was superb, delicious, hot, and quite cheap! I ordered 2 chaotic slices, I barely tasted the jalapeños but it did add a little kick, not overpowering at all! The people working in the cart were super friendly as well. After those two slices I should of ordered a whole pizza because I was craving more. There's some wild combinations of ingredients on pizzas here but I opt for a cheese slice. It's served to me warmed. The sauce is excellent, the crust has the perfect flop although I would appreciate a bit more crispier. The cheese though. The cheese reminds me of the cheese at my high school cafeteria. This isn't a dig. It's a compliment. I'm happy to be reminded of high school lunch. This pizza is way better than anything a lunch lady at my school ever made. The only thing preventing 5 stars is my love for char on wood fired pizza. This slice has zero char. A Paladin has the scars of battle. I expect the same from the pizza. Wow I can't believe I've never stopped by but I rarely go to this food cart pod at one of the ends of Alberta. We wanted to try a new pizza shop in the area and they were super quick to answer and let us order ahead for pick up. Wood fired had me sold! Looking at the menu we got a classic pepperoni, cheesy bread, and their red dragon to share with our group and trust me it was more than enough for 4 people. Pizza crust had a nice char on and chew. Not skimpy on the toppings and the crust held up well with the toppings. I love a crispy thin crust! The meats used were flavorful and added the nice salty kick needed. I would probably pass on the cheesy bread next time and just try the cheese pizza. Love that they give the option for slices vs. whole pies as well so if you want you can definitely try a couple options. Creative menu with salads as well so I can't wait to come back to try other flavors and enjoy in their shared space. Staff here was super nice and well and really chatted it up with others ordering which is always a nice thing to see. Solid pie place. The pepperoni is my fav in town. You can get slices or whole pies. Wood fired in their little space. It's awesome. You can't go wrong with any of the pizza options. Great crust. As a NYer I'm very picky about my pizza, and in my opinion Paladin has the best pizza in NE Portland. The crust is thin and soft, but just the right balance between crunchy and soggy. There's just enough edge to hold on to, but not so much that it feels like a breadstick. The sauce is well-spiced and tomatoey, and there's plenty of it without it feeling juicy and drippy. The balance of cheese with the other toppings is perfect. I even love the D&D theme. My only critique is that it's just a cart and sometimes there aren't enough dry seats for everyone. If they made a 1980s-pizza-hut-style brick&mortar location with booths and video games and pinball and a juke box I'd eat there every week. read more

Good god, give me more! The people running the cart were friendly and sweet (think the owner was in there). I got a cheese pizza with pineapple and jalapeño added and it was delicious! Obviously pizza preferences are personal but I would recommend you give this place a try at least once. I also got the smashed cucumber salad and I inhaled the entire box. YUM! I had no idea cucumbers and almonds made such a wonderful couple. I do wish my pizza had been cooked only slightly longer but like I said - personal pref. This is the best pizza in Portland. The sourdough crust is chewy and flavorful. I rarely eat pizza crust, it feels like an afterthought with most pizza, but I never leave a bite of this crust behind. The chili and Parmesan optional upgrade is SO good and especially worth it on pizzas with some kick like the Chaotic Good. The Druid is my favorite pizza in all of Portland. The mushroom cream sauce is incredible. They have seasonal pizzas, which is great because they're great pizzas, and also terrible because they're not permanent offerings. I still miss the Red Dragon buffalo chicken pizza. This month they added the Halfling, which is aaaallllllmost as good as the Druid!! I'll have to order it many many times before it disappears! My last note is that I'm very very sad that this truck is no longer next door to Baerlic, it was the perfect place to hang out and eat some pizza. Now Paladin 10 blocks down the road, and the seating area is lacking. Hope that pod gets some more seating and a beer cart! Then it might be more appealing. read more

When it's good, it's amazing. When it's bad, it's some of the worst pizza in town. I've been here about 15 times since they've been open. Most of those visits when they were in their old spot. Whenever we think about ordering from here we have to be in the mood to gamble. Sometimes it's absolutely amazing and other times it's the worst pizza I've ever had. Staff are always great. Food always comes out quick. Great seating. We always have a good time even when the pizza sucks. Give it a try just know that consistency is not their strong suit.
