I ordered the Ahi Tuna Ceviche which was fresh and perfectly seasoned. My sons ordered the steak and eggs, nice big portions also cooked to perfection and presented with country style potatoes, and the French toast plate beautifully paired with vanilla ice cream. My mom ordered the chilaquiles which were also delicious. While we were there I also noticed how Rogelio greeted each and every patron the same, with a smile and even knew a few of them as they were regulars. There was no wait to get a table. It's a nice clean casual place. Great murals in the back walls. Large tv screens to view sports. We ordered Shrimp ceviche and the salmon plate. The shrimp was fresh. We enjoyed the ceviche. The salmon was nicely presented but a little too much sauce for my liking. The sauce had a nice little kick to it. Nice combination, salmon and sauce, on the bed of mashed potatoes and a serving of carrots and broccoli. I wish I took a better pic of the salmon. Last time I was here it was very busy (weekday brunch). Today (Sunday dinner) there was no crowd and it was hard to ask the waitress for something because she would disappear for long periods. When she resurfaced she'd check in. Nonetheless, the staff were pleasant. Rogelio was friendly and told us they will be having weekday specials in the next month. My husband and I had lunch here last Tuesday after my husband had found them recommended for taco Tuesday. We cannot say enough about how delicious the food is -we had chips & salsa (best salsa ever!), the 3 tacos (asada, pollo, carnitas) rice & beans, and the 2 chicken/cheese enchiladas verdes with rice and beans. Everything was so good we can't wait to go back to try other dishes! The service was some of the best we've had, attentive-friendly and efficient. The food was so delicious! The Chilaquiles Comal was SO good and perfect for sharing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. This restaurant is in a shopping center, near downtown area. It is right next to a starter bros, plenty of parking. The sign is easy to spot. I came for Sunday brunch around 11am. There were groups of people waiting outside. I went in to check in with the host. Since we were only 2, we were seated right away. Inside, there the restaurant was filled, almost every table was taken. There was live music, two musicians, a singer and a guitar player. The live music, while nice, was very loud and it's very hard to hear someone and have a conversation. There a a lady who is constantly making freshly handmade tortillas. She gave us tortillas even though we hadn't ordered anything yet, which I thought was funny. Im not sure if the live music is everyday or just the weekend. The waiters always periodically came to check in. They were so nice and friendly. Our food came out in 15 minutes. I chose the huevos rancheros and a mimosa. My friend got the chorizo con papas plate with cafe de olla. The presentation was good and it was so good! I loved my mimosa. My friend thought her food was great too. Total came out to $59. An absolute must-try! We came for the amazing Taco Tuesday deals and were completely blown away by both the food and the service. The chips with salsa and guacamole was great. Honestly I was so disappointed in this restaurant. I have been here once before when they first opened and I had liked the restaurant. Today I was in the area and decided to go again. I walked in and there was no host. The bartender saw us but did not acknowledge us at all. We waited about 7 minutes and decided to just sit down because we were just left standing. We let the bartender know we would be sitting down and he said that was fine. No one ever came to give us any menus or get our order. There was another worker that walked in a few minutes later and checked up on all the other tables except ours. The bartender was even checking up on all the other tables. We were probably in the restaurant for another 6-8 minutes waiting to see if anyone would acknowledge us. No one bothered to tell us they would be right with us or even apologize for the wait. Even all the customers looked at us and one customer even told the waiter that we had not been helped. Still no one approached us. We ended up leaving the restaurant. It was such an awful experience and I do not plan to go back. If I could put zero stars I would. read more
