    Casper power bowl
    Kristin H.

I really wanted to love this place. The setting was beautiful, overlooking the Elk Refuge. We ate outside and our server has very friendly, but attempting to wait on too many tables. We ordered the citrus braised beet salad and the casper power bowl for lunch. We each added bison as our protein. Both were just okay. The beet salad definitely shined brighter than the power bowl. We waited a very long time to see our server once our food was delivered and then again when we needed the bill so we could leave. I'd love to recommend them but can't after this experience.

Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the elk refuge! Located inside the museum with all windows so you see the elk refuge from every seat. We came in for lunch and had a great meal. Service was quick and friendly.

We made a reservation and ate here for lunch right after we landed in Jackson,WY. So beautiful to sit outside on their patio and look out at the elk refuge. Our waitress was lovely! We got the game stew which was so rich and yummy. The cowboy caviar as a wrap - which comes with chips as a side. The chips are housemade and perfectly crunchy, I dipped a few in the stew and it was delicious! The trout po boy - which is yummy and the bread was fresh, the sauce was little spicy (which we like but you should know if you don't like spice). My husband got a local beer and I got the sockeye soritz which was very citrusy and refreshing. We are on our honeymoon so we also did the chamomile panna cotta and coffee which was one of the most delicious dessert we've ever had! Would highly recommend this place!!

Got takeout as there was a bit of a wait but not worth it. Almost $10 for the game stew in a 12 Oz cup that was only 2/3 full. Stew was hearty and warm but the value just isn't there.

First of all, the setting and atmosphere were phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch next to the beautiful bear sculpture. The food and wine were delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. If I could give this place 10 Stars I would.

What a view! We enjoyed lunch on the patio at Palate with its views of the neighboring Elk Refuge. The food is delicious, and as a non-beef eater I was especially happy they offered a French onion grilled cheese with a mushroom au jus. Also, the soup was incredibly fresh tasting with sweet potatoes and a touch of miso. Note: It can get brisk and/or extremely sunny here so wear sunscreen and bring a jacket or sweater.

We stopped at this location with a group of eight. We were traveling from Island Park Idaho to the Tetons. We almost stopped in Jackson hole to grab a bite to eat, but ended up deciding to drive up the road and I am so happy that we did. This restaurant is located in an art museum, which added to the whole experience. Not to mention the views of the elkwere insane! We ordered so much food and everyone was pleased with their meals! I tried the soup of the day (sweet potato miso) and the grilled onion/cheese sandwich. Both were delicious. We had four kids who ordered four different meals and everybody clean their plates. Our server was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. I highly recommend visiting this location.

Rose by the glass was mouth watering! Watermelon notes paired very well with the power bowl.

Service, ambiance, and food was all really great! Sebastian was our waiter and was very warm, polite and joyful! A true pleasure to encounter. The view was beautiful and the food was so fresh and perfectly prepared. We had the power bowl and French onion grilled cheese with added chicken which was SO delicious. Definitely add the chicken. Would recommend as a must do while visiting Jackson Hole!

I'd definitely recommend having lunch at Palate when you're in Jackson Hole. The weather was beautiful & we enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Their soup of the day was coconut tomato basil. YUM! I ordered the power bowl, substituted mixed salad greens for rice & added smoked trout. It was delicious!! My husband ordered the chicken sandwich & chips. They put mustard on it, which he said was unfortunately a bit overpowering. Kerri was our server & she was delightful,..kind & attentive.

Food was excellent! It was a little slow getting seated as we did not have reservations. It was well worth the wait and in a beautiful setting outside.

Not only can you enjoy some beautiful art, but you can have a nice lunch with a view. Palate is located inside the National Museum of Wildlife Art. They are open for lunch only with indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are strongly encouraged as there is usually a long wait time. The décor of this places matches the beauty of the museum around it. This museum faces the Elk Refuge and you get amazing views of it through the windows. Palate has a menu that consists of sandwiches, salads and appetizers. After a whole week of hiking and viewing wildlife in Grand Teton National Park, I was craving a nice healthy sit-down lunch. I started off with a cup of Game Stew. The stew was really good and is made up of Elk, Bison, Lentils and Quinoa. My entrée was the Casper Power Bowl. Not only does it have a lot of healthy ingredients, but it is a very colorful dish. I was impressed with the overall presentation of the food I ordered. They deliver your bill inside a children's book that has cute pictures of animals.

Such a cool experience, eating outside the museum and with the Mountain View - food felt local and organic. Reasonably priced and great service! Allergen friendly as well.

Came here for the ambiance but stayed for the food! Had a phenomenal watermelon heirloom salad with the most delectable steak. It was served over arugula and topped with feta and pistachios. I should've taking a picture, but I was more excited to eat. The service was really nice as well.

Reservations are not taken, instead you will find the host making people scoot to make room for new arrivals at the long tables. Our servers were spot-on with service, drinks and sharing her favorites. It is cozy and casual, people meeting people. The spirits here are for the pros with knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and bubbles. We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. Hands-down my favorite food and conversation while visiting Jackson, WY. To the staff here at Binn 22, congrats on a unique and completely fabulous dinner and concept. I can't wait to return and try many other options on a truly innovative menu. If you haven't been here, only one word, WHY?

The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

Dressed up and on reservation, we arrived a tad early and were promptly greeted. Maybe hospitality isn't Wyoming's forte, but all of the staff did not seem happy to see nor serve us from the beginning. The booking site only offered high top tables, so that's what I selected. When the hostess asked if we'd like to switch to a table, she was sternly corrected in front of us that it "wouldn't be possible" by another staff member. The interaction felt unprofessional in front of guests, and as if they weren't willing to accommodate us. On top of that fiasco came plenty of glares and stares from staff throughout our visit. Crawfish & Dumpling - 9/10 For the table. Pungent; a few bites satisfy. I've never had crawfish in this setting. Perfect gnocchi. Delicious all around. Oyster Shooter - 8/10 Fairly priced, fresh. Nice bloody mary. Rabbit Ravioli - 6.5/10 Stingy portion of meat. Ravioli is just okay. The fried carrot nest was fun but it was too much for the serving. It's a carrot salad with a bite of meat and maybe 5 ravioli. Bar Steak - One came overcooked and one under. Sides were mediocre. Uninteresting mashed potatoes. Our waitress tried to take our order almost immediately after being seated. She visited few times after ordering. With a 5:30 reservation, we left by 5:57 thanks to the small portions and staff seeming to rush us out. In a tourist destination, I would imagine better hospitality and warmth from local workers. Not many smiles here. I typically tip well, but they didn't seem to want us there and the experience really dampened my entire party's mood.
