We shared a watermelon salad and I got the Lamb Rigatoni ala Vodka. Both were delicious! The salad was beautiful, with greens resting over an entire slice of watermelon. It was refreshing and exactly what I wanted. My pasta was also perfect. Super flavorful and saucy. My companion ordered the Angus New York. It was cooked to order and the sides were also cooked well. I took some leftovers home, so I got to enjoy the food over two days. That was appreciated since the cost was definitely in the mid-range. It was worth it though. Came back after a few years and we had a great meal and great experience. As a party of nine, we were happy to have a reservation and table waiting for us when we arrived. I loved that the kids were able to play outside in the yard while the adults chatted over appetizers and waited on the mains and pizzas. We had some of their fresh Woodfire, pizzas, chicken, Parmesan, and salmon. Everyone loved their dishes. the pizzas were big enough for 2 to 3 of the kids to split the chicken Parmesan was also a very healthy portion, and the salmon was delightful. Visited before running the Grand Teton Half Marathon and chose Calico because it was one of the few reservations available the evening before the race. Unfortunately, they were out of both the garlic bread and table bread, which was disappointing since I was hoping for a simple carb-heavy pre-race meal. I ended up ordering the bruschetta instead. While the toppings were flavorful, several pieces of bread were overly toasted, and I found the roasted garlic difficult to eat. Overall, I'd rate the appetizer about 2.5/5. For my entrée, I had the spaghetti marinara. The portion size was generous, the pasta was filling, and the marinara was enjoyable. I'd give it a 3.5/5. For dessert, I tried the rotating passionfruit sorbet. The flavor wasn't for me, and I ended up leaving much of it unfinished. Overall, my experience was mixed. The pasta was solid, but being out of multiple bread options and the underwhelming appetizer and dessert made it difficult to justify the price. I'd rate the restaurant 3/5. That said, it served its purpose as a pre-race dinner, and I went on to finish second in my age group the next morning at the Grand Teton Half Marathon, so perhaps it brought me some good luck after all. read more

Went here for our last night of the trip and we were not greeted warmly at the door. They were out of homemade pasta, but our group had pasta and eggplant which was ok. I agree with another review that the food wasn't hot. The ambiance outside was nice and the cocktails were had were good. I would not recommend it and say to try someplace else. read more

During our stay in Jackson, we were craving pasta and stumbled upon this location with the help of Yelp. Who knew it'd be so difficult to find Italian food around here? Our food was delicious! I highly recommend the truffle mac and cheese. The portions were large! Our server, Jo C. was so kind and attentive. We'd come back solely to have him as our waiter again! This was really disappointing. Everything tasted pre-made, and mostly everything came out cold. We had to send an entire pizza back because it was undercooked and all of the ingredients tasted like they came out of a bag. The ambience and service was good. But otherwise, the food and drinks were a complete miss. We had a group of 5 and no one finished their meal. read more

One of Jackson Hole's fun hot spots for good eats and good times! We have been several times for drinks, dinner, and private parties. Great spot to celebrate birthdays, holiday parties ect... The owner Julie and Anne the manager are charming and inviting. The cocktails are great, and the wine list is impressive. I ordered the D'Auvernier Swiss Pinot Noir which was amazing. That went quickly so I followed it up with the 1er Cru Morey St Denis which was a delight. We ordered some pizzas which are made deliciously and baked perfectly. Afterwards, I ordered the Short Rib entree and side of carrots (which are a must have when dining here). The short rib was a generous portion with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The dish was spot on - savory and tender as can be. The service team and bartenders are excellent and always fun to hang out with. We love to eat at Calico when we come to Jackson. It's a fun atmosphere and food is always good. The prices are too high for what they serve but the portions are big. Last night we went for dinner and the hostess was rude about us asking for a table for four. She acted as if she didn't know where to place us when the indoor dining area was almost empty and there were at least 4 tables on the deck open. Then she had the other hostess sit us way in the back on a patio and she created a small table for us, while all the other made up tables were empty. Luckily our servers were very nice and attentive and moved us to a bigger table (without us asking). Food was good as usual, the restaurant needs to train their hosts/hostesses better. read more

This was our third time eating at Calico - we invited friends to go this time and were embarrassed by the rudeness and poor service. With the many restaurant options available in Jackson, unfortunately, this visit to Calico may be our last. The server, Alexis, and manager were both abrasive to us and not very professional. Almost complaining because we arrived early for our reservation and Alexis was not a professional server - reached across the table to serve when there was plenty of space for her to go behind and serve as is customary. Every time we have been, the food is quite salty. Items are Ala carte and the bill adds up quickly - just be aware. I would recommend any other restaurant in Jackson Hole. read more

The food is okay. (When the things on the menu are actually available, anyway--ahem--gnocchi and vodka sauce ) Steak was a 6.5/10. The pizza is pretty good, but it's like $26 for a 12 inch pie! Give me a break! Ridiculous. But the real icing on the cake for Calico is that they recently have had the audacity to add a 3% charge onto your bill if you pay by credit card. So the food is already very overpriced and now they're upcharging 3% more for CC payments?! Bad form, guys. What's that gonna do except steal that 3% from your wait staff's tips? It's extremely petty nickel-and-diming behavior and it needs to be called out. If you have to increase your food prices another $1 to avoid the 3% CC charge then just do that. No one will notice because, as I said, the food is already very overpriced. But the pettiness of a credit card punishment fee is truly out of line. No thanks, not worth it. This place is unique in the best of ways. There is a big fenced in yard for families to play while waiting for a table. We saw another order takeout then use the picnic tables in the yard to eat. The place is surrounded by flowering plants and the veranda is huge, seating many. The food is excellent and so is the service. If staying at the Fireside resort walk on over for a great meal. Along the bike path off Moose Wilson Rd. The bruschetta alone is worth the stop. Pricy but worth every bite. Great vegetarian options. Went to Calico for Mothers Day, arrived at 5:00 and with it being a special day you would think they'd have all their items. No lasagna, Spaghetti not enough sauce and when my husband asked for more in a cup they charged us $2.00 extra. No tiramisu, instead a bun with powder sugar and fruit. Visited here for take-out on a Monday evening in September. The only good thing I can say is that the service was fast, from order to food-ready. Everything else, most specifically the price and the food, was poor. $79 for two 12-inch pizzas (one of which was gluten-free) and an order of garlic bread. Overpriced for sure, and the pizzas didn't even reach mediocre level. Same was true of the garlic bread. I realize taste is subjective, but I think we can objectively agree that for this price level, the food should reach at least the level of 'good'. Best advice I can give is to steer clear of this place, and find somewhere else to satisfy your pizza/pasta urge. read more

Stayed at the Fireside Resort down the block and did an online take out. Being out in Wilson, most of the restaurants in downtown Jackson doesn't deliver out here through Ubereats. Since Calico was close we decided to check them out. Not disappointed. Ordered the chicken Parmesan pasta and spinach apple salad. Taste was on par. Pasta lacked noodles but instead got a HUGE crusted chicken on top. Chicken was very thick and hard to cut through, my plastic fork broke it half trying to cut it. Salad was good and they even threw in 2 complimentary chocolate chip cookies. They have an extensive Italian menu and wouldn't hesitate to try them again. Would try their wood fire pizzas. read more

The evening began with chaos as the hostess sat another table with our reservation and it took them 10 minutes to decide who was even serving us. Water was not refilled without flagging down server. The broccoli was discolored and most definitely microwaved from frozen and not freshly steamed. The pizza sauce has absolutely no flavor. It is not the same as their "famous" marinara.
