We have been coming to Orsetta for some time. We live in Moose. The food is always delicious, service is wonderful, we recommend this restaurant to friends all the time. We had a reservation at 6:3O on a Sunday night. I called Saturday afternoon to cancel reservation do to an illness in one of our guests. They charged us $100 cancellation fee. We called well within 24 hrs of our reservation. We unfortunately will not be going back there. And we will make sure we let anyone know this policy. Orsetto Bar and Italian eatery was an amazing find and dining experience in Jackson Hole. The restaurant is dark and romantic, yet it is inviting warm and cozy. Especially in the cold winter months in Jackson Hole. The wine recommendation from our waitress was amazing. It has become my new favorite. The olives and mozzarella sticks were amazing appetizers and perfect for sharing. I'm still dreaming about the sauce. The pastas were delectable and melted in your mouth. The spicy rigatoni was definitely spicy, but I could not stop eating it! The restaurant is a little on the outskirts of the main town, but it's perfect for enjoying a night there. Tough time finding a place in Jackson on a Saturday night without reservations. Good ole trusty Yelp steered us to this place. Busy but they had space at the bar luckily. Plopped down and tried one of their cocktails. Tasty Sicilian Blonde it was named.... It was good. Tried the calamari app and it was the standard frozen type that is rubbery. Huge portion though but I wouldn't order it again. Pastas were good. Big portions and the fave was the sausage pasta. The butternut squash dish was not what I expected. Doesn't make it wrong. Came here for dinner after spending the whole day at Grand Teton. Find the restaurant on yelp. It was pretty busy and we had to sit at the bar, the service was okay, I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and the dish came out really salty, there was no accompanying bread of any kind and it cost 30 bucks. We made a reservation here on OpenTable for dinner one night while visiting Jackson. When we arrived our table wasn't quite ready yet so we walked around the square for a few and then came back. Once we were seated our waitress came and shared some information about the menu. My husband ordered a drink that she immediately said they were out of - sometimes I wonder why the restaurant staff doesn't lead with that...? We ordered the fried mozzarella aka mozz sticks and they were delicious. An upgraded version of a nostalgic mozz stick from childhood. We followed that up with the little gem caesar and the arugula salad. They allowed us to course out the menu ourselves basically which didn't cause us to feel rushed. As a group of 4 we ordered the chicken parm, garganelli pasta, rigatoni alla'vodka, and the rigatoni alla'gricia. It was definitely more than enough food and if we did it again I would maybe order 1 less dish. The downside...the food came out and was cold. By the time our food was coming out, the restaurant was half full so it's not like they were making food for an overflowing restaurant. We had to ask to send it back for it to be reheated. Once it was reheated it was definitely hot, but just annoying to have to do that. I would maybe go back...but I also think there are other places I would be open to trying next time! read more

We had an interesting experience for such a popular place. We were early by 15 minutes for our reservations, so we got a drink at the bar. We tried to talk with the bar tender just friendly question "How do you like living in Jackson Hole?" Simple things, but he didn't seem to want to converse. We are very kind people. It was strange. We were seated promptly to our table. It's very loud and crowded, but we didn't mind that at all. We ordered broccolini, spaghetti and meatballs and chicken Parmesan. Dixon our waitress was friendly. She took our order which my husband asked for each item to come out separately. It took a bit for just the broccolini to arrive, but it was delicious. Then, it took a good half an hour before we got the spaghetti and meatballs. They were incredible! Homemade noodles and an exquisite sauce!! The meatballs were tender. I'd come here again just for this dish!! Our compliments to the chef! Again, it took about a half an hour to get our Chicken Parmesan. It was burnt and lacked flavor. The kitchen help serves the food, so not much interaction with anyone. We never saw Dixon again until she brought us the bill. I'd try this place one more time. Ate here one night while in Jackson and it was delish! Started off with the caesar salad, small but mighty! Was really only a few lettuce leaves but had great flavor between the dressing, anchovies and cheese. Also got the garlic bread- best I have ever had! Crisped to perfection and the flavor was phenomenal! The chicken parm was amazing and the portion size was perfect, came with a good sized piece of chicken. Very cute and cozy place! Intimate, great for a date night but they can also accommodate groups. We ended up here without a reservation on our first night and cancelled our reservation for later in the week at another popular Italian place in town because this place gave us our Italian food fix! Great menu selection. We both had pasta and the portions were HUGE. We were able to have the leftovers as another meal the next day. Caprese salad was also very good and fresh. The only thing not worth it was the $10 bread service. Also note if you add chicken to your dish, it's a breaded chicken (wish I had known that before). Staff was attentive. This was our favorite meal in Jackson. An elevated, yet approachable Italian restaurant in downtown Jackson. The homemade pasta was well cooked. The Spicy Rigatoni was the favorite. The creamy sauce was flavorful and had the right consistency to coat the rigatoni. The ravioli sauce was a bit tart for our liking. The cacio e pepe was served with bucatini pasta. The bruschetta had a nice char grilled flavor and the bruschetta to bread ratio was balanced. The garlic cheese bread, although straightforward in its description, was done really well. The garlic flavor was not overpowering. The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. The consistency and espresso made it sing. They also have an extensive Italian wine list. This was a really nice restaurant! We came here after a day hiking in Grand Teton NP and it was a very satisfying meal. We had a local beer and a cocktail and both were very tasty. We started our meal with bruschetta with whipped ricotta that was very tasty and a great way to open up our palates. We also had a side Caesar salad that was very tasty with fresh lettuce. My wife had a rigatoni with a ragù that was very tasty and I had orecchiette with sausage that was delicious and really hit the spot. We ended our meal with a chocolate budino (we can't resist a budino) and it was a nice meal overall. The atmosphere for the meal was a bit hampered by a very loud and obnoxious bachelorette party, but the staff did a good job of trying to minimize their antics as much as possible. We walked in on time for a reservation. There were many tables available and they decided to sit us next to a family with two screaming children while there were several tables available within the restaurant. They informed us that they were fully booked with reservations and no, sorry we have so many reservations we can't. We said OK please cancel our reservation and we left. This morning we woke up to $100 cancellation fee to which Parker the manager that we called and spoke with, said there's nothing he can do and was completely rude. Not only will be not being going to this restaurant in the future- we will tell all our friends to avoid it as well. Great downtown Italian restaurant. We were able to make reservations morning-of our desired date. We got a table right on the edge of the patio and indoor seating and it was perfect. We started with tomato bruschetta. Two big pieces of crispy bread we split in half for our table of four. Two of us split a Caprese salad and they actually split the salads onto diff plates for us which was great. Love it when restaurants do that. Salad was very tasty with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. I ordered the ricotta ravioli. The portion size was perfect. The pomodoro sauce was very tasty. Excellent choice. Service was good. Since we walked, no issues with parking. Had an amazing meal here! The outdoor patio is gorgeous and great for dog friendly seating. We went on a quiet Tuesday night and were quickly seated. I hear it's much busier on peak weekends. My husband and I each got a cocktail and they were both exquisite. I liked the balance of flavors and both were pretty high quality for being on $12. As for food, we ended up splitting a cesar salad and each getting a pasta dish. The salad was small but fresh and we appreciated the anchovies. Both pastas were excellent, although I think the spicy rigatoni was my favorite of the two. The pasta itself had the perfect texture and the sauces were just the right consistency. The spicy rigatoni is actually spicy so keep that in mind. It was just the right amount of food to that we weren't stuffed when finishing but completely satisfied. Our evening at Orsetto in Jackson, WY was completely overshadowed by the unprofessional and hostile behavior of the manager, Parker Warren. We arrived late and understood that our table had been given away, but when we offered to wait at the bar, Parker refused, rudely telling us to leave. His aggressive and dismissive attitude showed a total lack of hospitality which was totally unexpected from a manager. Not wanting to let this ruin our night, we went to Bistro, where we were warmly welcomed and given a comfortable place to wait as they too were similarly busy. Before we could even order drinks, Parker called to say our table was ready. When we returned, our group were split between two tables. Within 5 min of being seated, surrounding tables were clearing out and Thankfully, our waitress, Ashley, kindly moved our party so that we may sit together. While the food was great, Parker's arrogance soured the experience. When we addressed his treatment of us, he admitted he was "having a bad night" and "sometimes I need to be a douche." No apology, no remorse--just shocking entitlement. Orsetto may serve great food, but with management like this, don't expect to be treated like a valued guest. Jackson Hole has plenty of restaurants that offer both great food and genuine hospitality--go there instead. read more

Overall, food didn't wow us. We started with ricotta bruschetta and olives. The bruschetta was served on thick bread. Flavors were subtle - could have done more to elevate the dish. Olives were a massive dish of green olives with a few Kalmata olives - pretty standard. Next we shared the caprese salad. The burrata cheese was excellent, but served on three thin slices of tomato spread across the plate with the ball of cheese in the middle and little basil to be found. Served without the balsamic typical with a caprese. This dish left of disappointed. Lastly we shared the house special that was a rigatoni pasta with marinara based sauce, reduced pork(belly?). Flavor was good. Dish was a bit dry for a pasta dish, but was hearty and satisfying. It seems like this restaurant is trying, but still stumbling a bit on the details and finesse. read more

The only small complaint that I have is that they did not send anything our way on the night that my fiancé and I got engaged. I'm so glad I didn't read the Yelp reviews first and maybe skip going to this restaurant. In the aftermath of a delicious dinner and really lovely evening, I took a look. I saw that mostly where people were displeased, the wait staff was at issue. So - yes, they're still experiencing a post-Covid staffing shortage yet our server was attentive, warm, welcoming and fun! We were greeted nearly immediately upon being seated and she checked on us often but not too often, if you know whaddimean. Molly! You're perfect for this gig! We had an appetizer of fig bruschetta which was outstanding. A hint of garlic on the lightly grilled bread, spread with stracciatella (or a well drained and whipped ricotta) cheese, beautiful little figs on top and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. It was insanely good and every bite was as amazing as the first. That cheese. So luxurious. My husband, the Anglo, had spaghetti and meatballs. He enjoyed it immensely. The Italian at the table snuck a bite of a meatball. Tender and delicious. Spices evident and not overly so. In fact, they kinda tasted like mine. Pasta was freshly made and cooked al dente. I ordered Bucatini all'Amatriciana. It was made authentically with guanciale, not pancetta, and it was tasty. Pasta cooked just right. I season mine with a bit more heat but that's personal preference. This was absolutely delicious. We shared a contorno of broccolini that was drizzled with EVOO and sprinkled with sea salt and pepper flakes. We cleared that table. Nearly every bite. Ok, well, I left a bite of the bruschetta because I was moving into the realm of Thanksgiving full. I wouldn't let Molly even show me the dessert menu because I knew tiramisu was on it and then there'd be a problem. Well satisfied with the food and the server. A delightful stop. The server was uninterested, seemed distracted and aloof. The salad was very bitter and bland. My wife ordered some cannelloni beans which would tasteless. I tried a dish of Italian ham with cheese. It was overpowering with the salty ham taste. We talked to the waitress about all of these items. She acted as if she didn't care almost oh well. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
