I will not be returning. When I arrived, I clearly requested a manicure with DND Clear Pink. Instead of providing the color I asked for, the technician repeatedly tried to substitute multiple different shades and insisted they were "clear pink" when they clearly were not. I even looked at the bottles myself and knew they were different colors. After several attempts to explain what I wanted, another employee came over to assist. They disappeared for a while and eventually returned with a bottle labeled "DND Clear Pink," but it looked completely different from the actual product I have used before. The bottle itself didn't even match the standard DND packaging, which raised even more concerns. What frustrated me most was feeling like my concerns were being dismissed. I knew exactly what color I wanted, yet I was repeatedly told I was wrong. Throughout the interaction, the employees continued speaking among themselves in their language and would occasionally say "clear pink," which made the entire situation feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. To make matters worse, after all of the confusion and after I decided not to proceed with gel polish, I was still charged an additional fee to remove the existing polish. So not only did I not receive the service I specifically requested, but I ended up paying extra as well. There are far too many nail salons with excellent customer service to deal with this kind of experience. If a client tells you exactly what they want, listen to them instead of trying to convince them they don't know the difference. Very disappointing experience. read more

I went for an early birthday mani/pedi with my best friend. It's not our normal salon, but it was close to our lunch location. This place is very large with too much going on for my likings. A regular salon is more personable. For instance, they give you a tag with a number on it when you sit down for your service. I don't like being "a number". My salon walks you to the front to close the transaction. This salon was so hurried our girls were nowhere to be found when we left the chairs. My regular salon has 10 pedicure chairs and 2 manicure stations that seat one manicurist and the customer. This place has actual rooms. Each room has at least 6-8 pedicure chairs, depending on the room size, and as best I could count, there were 8 rooms. In the middle of the side pedicure rooms there were at least 5 rows of manicure stations, each seating 5-6 manicurists/customers at each row. It was very busy. We were able to get an appointment quickly, but who couldn't?! They have so much space. It would be a good place for prom groups or bridal parties. They have a wine bar and a slushy machine plus water to drink. Every color imaginable on the wall to pick from for your nail color. My pedicurist did a great job. She was nice and spoke well. My manicurist was nice as well, but she seemed rushed. She nicked me a couple times while cleaning up my cuticles. The next day, my nail beds were sore and red. I do like the pedicure chairs. Not only do they have the cushioned ankle rests, but the massage portion of the chair never had to be restarted. Most places have a 20 minute timer. The chairs go off and you have to restart it again. That was one notable plus. At check out, there seemed to be a confusion for the lady in front of us. An indication that number system is not so great. Our transaction was fine, but it needs to be stated about the other lady. The prices are in line with other salons. A basic pedicure (the Splish Splash) is $33 and a basic manicure (also called a Splish Splash) is $20. This place is also located in a very congested strip center with lots of eateries and shopping stores. It can be difficult to find parking. I will not return. I prefer a more quality customer based approach. read more

I normally go to the river oaks location but I was in the neighborhood so I tried it. And these were my birthday nails for birthday celebrations that week. Let's just say, I had to go to the river oaks location for them to fix my nails. I got a new acrylic set and they didn't last because they were done improperly. He asked to cut my nails so that way the tips won't lift off. I said of course. He barely cut them and within a week I had lifting. He didn't clean up the backs so I was constantly scratching myself and others because my real nail was protruding out the sides. They looked nice but structurally they were not good. The nails on one hand were thicker than the nails on the other hand and the lengths of nails on each hand did not match because he did not make sure the corresponding nail on each hand matched in length. The guy who did my nails was nice. The inside is clean. Everyone is friendly. But I was disappointed in my nails. read more

Customer Service! Walked in at 450, told it would be 30 minutes for nails and pedi. Came back at 515 and at 535 started on my pedi. Asked 3x for someone to check on my nail service. I usually don't write reviews but I feel really disappointed after giving this place not one, but two chances. Both times, I asked specifically for a manicure and both times, it was completely ignored. First visit: I asked for a full set with manicure. They skipped the manicure and just went straight into the gel. My nails looked bulky and messy, so I had to ask the tech to redo them, which she did, and they looked better afterward. Still, the manicure portion was mediocre at best. Second visit: I came in asking for a Shellac manicure and showed them an inspiration photo. Again, they skipped the manicure part. The gentleman working on me was pleasant but instead of a proper manicure, he began doing a refill. Midway through, I reminded him I asked for a manicure. It's extremely uncomfortable having to stop someone mid service to remind them what you asked for especially when you're clearly showing a reference photo and communicating upfront. I'm really disappointed. I don't think I'll be returning after this experience. It's frustrating when you're not listened to and end up paying for something you didn't ask for twice. read more

I have been coming here for a year and recommending them to friends but recently I have noticed a decline in service. My friend and I came in for a manicure (my friend came based on my recommendation) and our two manicurists were unfriendly, harsh and rushed. They also tried to charge us $5 for shape filing which is nonesense. My friend has the shortest nails and filing is part of a manicure (unless you request something unique). We were done in less than an hour so you know we didn't get anything special done. The cashier questioned us a lot but she removed the charge in the end. Pros, their booking is easy, professional and they're on time. Cons, my last two manicurists no longer work there and I'm wondering if they are having staffing issues and are hiring people that are below their standards for customer serivce. * I will be going in December and updating my review then. I've spoken to the manager several times about the infections being caused by improper nail placement and sealing, with no satisfaction from management. The nail tech were speaking in Vietnamese and I heard what they said saying i was talking too much and she didn't understand. I called out the lady since I am half Vietnamese, and the nail tech made something up that I was speaking "too fast" which was a lie since that term is pronounce another way. I called and spoke to the owner who was really extremely volatile's rude. I tried to explain he kept over talking, yelling, sweating like he's on drugs and definitely said he will not apologize and defend his employees when he wasn't there. He wouldn't give me his name and told me to come back up there and he would provide his name and we can talk about it. My bf and I spend a lot of money there with other great techs who does a fabolous job and that was an awful owner. I have a video of how he was talking to me and rude he was. May God bless him. I sat and watched in frustration as my technician and the technician working on my guest's toes, put very little effort into doing their job properly because they were much more interested in their own personal conversation. At one point, I had to stop and ask them to stop talking and pay attention while they were in the middle of our massage because they hardly had their hands on our feet. They even had macaroons (swoon) but I went for a lip wax and they had a great special on everything (sorry, you missed it) but they do have a price menu and for the quality it's definitely worth it. I went into the experience a bit nervous because I got my nails done on a while to match with the dress for I got for my senior prom! It was an impulsive choice and I hadn't read any reviews prior, so I didn't know what to expect. However, nothing could have prepared me for the quality and kindness of this salon. I got elaborate nails, and my tech, Eric, was very willing to give me the closest to my reference photo that he could provide! He was gentle, patient, and I could tell he put effort and care into doing my nails.
