This is a cool place to take a group. We took our whole family for my university graduation. It was cool, it was different, it was memorable. Dont order the chicken parmesan. Mine was so over cooked / burnt I could barely cut it. It cut my mouth. You would of thought, the waitress would of asked why I had only eating a quarter of my meal and had burnt pieces of chicken on my bread plate. We walked in at 8 pm with a group of 10 and they graciously took great care of us. Service and food were both excellent , I had an eggplant rollatini appetizer and the mushroom soup , husband had chicken Parmesan , various appetizers and drinks for the group , all wonderful ! Great place to hang out and have some fun. We went there 3 years in a row to celebrate our Department Holiday party. Food is good but I would not call it Italian, tiramisu is superb but again nor Italian at all (there is whipping cream instead of mascarpone cheese). We've never played bocce here, but it looks like fun. We been coming here for dinners for around 3 years now. We've never been disappointed with the food. I do wish the menu had a better variety of dishes, but we can usually always find a "special" for the day that entices us. The mushroom soup is homemade and fabulous! I highly recommend it. They also have a very nice house salad if you prefer that instead of soup. The veal marsala is yummy and one of my favorites. The tiramisu is also very good--the best of the 3 Italian restaurants that we frequent. The regular cheesecake is just okay. The pumpkin cheesecake however is sooooooo very good, but it's seasonal for the winter/spring months. I would recommend that you ask for one of two servers: Janelle, or Gary. We do, and they never disappoint. We've had to do this since last year when we had one event of a waitress that forgot to put in our dinner order and we waited an hour and a half for our entree. It was NOT acceptable. This was the only time it ever happened though. The manager (not sure of her name) was young and obviously inexperienced with handling problems. She was reluctant to even offer a free dessert for our extended wait at that time (was around Sept. / Oct. 2012). She should have been embarrased!! The event wasn't handled well. Any other good restaurant would have comped the whole meal and given a huge apology. I guess we needed to be uglier about our complaints. Good grief. We didn't write a bad review for it for the fact that it was an isolated incident with us. We've otherwise always had great service and great food from this restaurant. read more

The food is just wonderful. The atmosphere is a nice blend between upscale and casual, with a very nice dining room but the boccie going on in the background too. I really liked that they had instructors go over the basics of the game with my group when we rented the court after dinner. We had great birthday experience. Excellent service, excellent food, Chicken Marsala was fantastic! Salmon special was excellent. Birthday deserts were great. When they told me we were going to bocce ball, I was like, "wtf" - kiss balls? No, Lauren, BOCCE not BACI - it's a game, idiot. Ohh, well, that certainly clarifies things. We arrived, and it's like shuffleboard with balls. Very, um, interesting. Apparently it's quite big in Michigan, and according to my companions, New Jersey as well. I head into the private party room which boasts four (or five) courts, and I am quite pleased to learn it's an open bar! Woo-hoo VW - I saunter up to the bar and order a 'skinny bitch' - the bartender looks at me like I just slapped her dog, and I explain it's diet coke and vodka. This amuses her, luckily, and she proceeds to fill 3/4 of a soda glass with vodka and 1/4 with diet coke. I've never had a drink like that - ever. I drank it and was quite happy. It gave me the courage to actually play the game, and it was so much fun! I don't know if it was the immense amount of vodka shooting through my body (I was now completing 2nd skinny bitch, again all bitch and not so much skinny) or that the game was actually that much fun. I would love to comment on the food, but I honestly can't remember. My friends (surprisingly more drunk than I was) said it was great - lasagna, chicken, and fettuccine alfredo). The servers were fantastic and they kept the drinks strong and flowing. I've seriously never had so much to drink. I actually smoked a cigarette, which is quite unlike me. I was a bocce bad girl. It was awesome. I'm thinking about opening one of these places in LA. Bocce rules! read more

This place is wonderful to PLAY.. a lot of fun. The staffs were very courteous and attentive. We loved our time and company. However the food was horrible and the price were out of this world. The calamari for $17 tasted chewy and anion ring like. The mushroom soup tasted like the Campbell soup. Spinach dip was OK but for $9 was nothing special. The steak we order medium was very dry and well done and very peppery. In fairness, we sent it back and it came back perfect but we were all done eating by then. The Salad for $9 was so small and not worthy of $2. The food was cold and we had to send the chicken entrée back to be heated.. to which they microwaved the whole meal. The kids complained about their food being cool. And for an Italian restaurant, they do not serve pizza..???? f you are going to play, you will have the time of your life.. if you are going to eat, then pay $160 for a low quality food and do not complain. I would definitely go back there to play, but not to eat. read more

Great dinner but our group of 20 was kicked off the 2 courts we had reserved 10 days prior. Management claimed we had made a mistake while booking and refused to find a resolution, just walked onto the court and kicked all of the balls in play and told us to leave. We had already spent at least $1500.00 on dinner/drinks/bocce and were planning to continue the gathering at the bar area after playing but when we were so rudely forced to leave the courts we had no desire to stay. Too bad Palazzo, our entire group vowed to never return. Special thanks to the female manager on duty 2-9-2019 who exhibited no conflict resolution skills and showed zero remorse for the scheduling mishap that they were responsible for. We would have been fine with moving to one of the open courts to finish our allotted time we had reserved, that we were more than willing to pay for, but that was never given as an option. As someone who has held 3 parties here in the past, as well as meeting here with family, I will never return. It's too bad you can not leave less than 1 star on Yelp. read more

I've always had great experiences here, on and off the bocce court. The food has always been great except for one time having to send pasta back for being cold and another when it was buffet only which isn't my cup of tea. I prefer the dinner menu over the lunch selection. Besides that, wonderful! Service has always been great, especially tonight. The waiter was hilarious and knew how to deal with my crazy family. Tonight's meal included a delicious salad with spinach, onions, pine nuts and strawberries. I followed that with tortellini in cream sauce with asparagus which was tasty as well but quick to fill me up! Other items ordered were a steak salad (huge!), two salmon dishes (devoured) and another chicken and pasta dish (also devoured) To finish we all split some cannolis (you get two in a dessert) and a large tiramisu. Great place to have a nice dinner and use up all the excess energy from the sugary dessert on bocce ball afterwords! read more

We found this little gem while looking for a lunch spot on a Friday afternoon ... embarking on a weekend at the Palace to see Oprah, we decided to celebrate with a Detroit Bloody Mary and was not disappointed .. Made with Valentine vodka (another Detroit gem!) it was hands down the best Bloody Mary I have ever had.. The mushroom soup was earthy simply wonderful and the salads (we ordered all three) were lovely .. We liked this place so much we decided to return on Saturday evening as our weekend was winding down ... Unfortunately our second experience was not as favorable.. although the food was good our waiter Gary was condescending and rude .. He chastised me for ordering a house wine ... made rude comments while we tried to figure out what to order and was overheard telling another waitress how irritated he was by being stuck with all of the "Oprah" tables and called us difficult ... I'm sorry but when is ordering dressing on the side and asking questions about the specials being difficult ???? We made friends with two ladies at the next table over that were in from out of state who had also come in for the Oprah venue. After we cashed out we continued to talk with them for a few minutes however he rudely interrupted by walking up to their table and asking "ladies I am sorry to interrupt your precious discussion but can I interest you in a dessert? My husband and I ate at Palazzo di Bocce last night. Wednesday is Pasta Special night. $8.50 for pasta with meatballs and you can add a salad for $1.50. You can pick from several different noodles, sauces, and you can add on additional toppings. I had Penne Pasta with Vodka Sauce, I added on fresh garlic, and tomatoes. You have a choice of several toppings. This was one of the best pasta meals I have had in such a long time. My husband had spagetti with Bolognese sauce and meatballs. He also loved his meal. I wish I had a bowl of that pasta right now. It was excellent ! The service was fantastic, the atmosphere is also fantastic. We will definately be back to try other dishes. Oh, and the Italian Dressing on the house salad was one of the best dressings I have ever tasted. Very impressed with our meals. We drive by the place every day and I can't believe we waited so long to check it out. read more
