I've never heard of them until they opened their location on Park St. I live in walking distance and have been a few times, including to their opening weekend! To share, I do not have any dietary restrictions, so am new to Paleo, but love to try something new! Very good dishes. Certainly on the higher side price wise. I had family visit me from out of state who both have celiac and I always try to accommodate them. This brought me to Paleo Mama which, I must say, surpasses most bakeries in Madison. You don't need to have an allergy or sensitivity to eat here, but you need a sweet tooth and a big stomach because the flavor options are extraordinary for those eating without gluten and with other food sensitivities too, like dairy. My family visitors were thrilled and I was grateful to find this great spot in Madison. They also have gift products, some holistic bath and aroma items, candles, etc. and they certainly center women as their patrons and we love to support a woman owned business. read more

Paleo Mama is my absolute MUST stop whenever I visit Madison! There aren't many bakeries out there that cater to keto diets so this spot is a rare gem in my book by catering to gluten-free, keto, paleo, and vegan diets. They have an amazing selection - and not just of their own items! They also sell packaged products from reputable brands such as ChocZero and Good Good just to name a couple for Keto examples. Their newer location is convenient (their own parking + outside seating) and so much bigger, which allowed for the selection and product expansion. I usually stock up on a bunch of goodies since I don't live in the area. What's good? I highly recommend the keto breakfast sandwich - really hits the spot. The coffee wasn't for me (I got a latte as a combo with the bfast sandwich - wouldn't get it again). I love the pies - peanut butter or cookie butter, and the truffle bombs. The selection rotates and most recently I enjoyed the white chocolate peppermint Christmas tree cake. Service is always sooo nice! My only request for future improvement is better coffee/espresso drinks :) and maybe some inside seating. read more

I've been remiss in not posting a review long before; I love Paleo Mama! I've been a regular for years, and though I miss the Willy Street location dearly and some of the simpler recipes, I'm always delighted by the new ones, too. Recent favorites are the chocolate pistachio bars and the scotcharoos. So decadently delicious. My only complaint is that it seems as though loyalty points take a long time to pay off; I feel that points earned per $ spent aren't quite proportional. Regardless, I've never found their equal in the gluten free department and I love that theirs are treats I can feel (mostly) good about indulging in! read more

We saw a bakery and wanted to get something sweet. Unbeknownst to us they specialize in Keto and gluten free sweets. We tried a couple things and they were good. The lady who helped us explained that the taste would be different from what we were used to so we were not surprised when we tried our selections. Ordered delivery to my hotel. The food came before expected, the delivery person waited at the front desk to hand me my order. The food came hot and delicious! Fabulous little paleo bakery with a wide array of items, paleo, keto & vegan. We have visited many gluten free and paleo bakeries over the years and this one was certainly up there in quality. The treats we got were well made and not cloyingly sweet (I dislike going to what is supposed to be a "healthy" bakery, and it tastes like a bag of sugar). They were natural but delicious and something I would be comfortable giving to my kids again and again. Side note, the woman we spoke to (owner?) was very helpful and kind. Wish we lived closer or we would come often! Glad they sell their items at Woodmans as well, though. If you live close, definitely check them out! read more

Absolutely blown away by the cinnamon rolls we picked up at the farmers market. They were one of the only booths with gluten free things, so big plus. Wanting more of these soon, but live in St Louis. Please send them down there if you can!! We also tried the Jalapeño Cheddar biscuits and were just so surprised at how much flavor was put into them. In my experience gluten free options tend to be dry and brittle, but this baker has performed some kind of miracle that keeps the bread moist and soft. Very impressed with these products! read more

Very sad that I was so excited to finally go to their bakery! We had bought previously from them at the Farmers Market and hadn't had a problem. This time I bought some things and got my husband something that had nuts in and he had a huge Reaction. It was my responsibility to ask them about it and so I don't blame them for that. They should be putting all Ingredients on the packaging so I don't have to call, leave a message asking about the other things I bought and get no response. No one answers the phone and no one returns the calls! So sad but this is a bad review for h helpful customer service as health issues are important and putting ingredients on packaging is very important! read more

Truly inspiration food. Options for every taste and occasion. I have had several Paleo Mama foods and have not found one I don't like. While the pizza crust and the magic bars are an easy favorite I am never disappointed when I try a new product. I am fortunate to not have a medical need to follow a restricted diet but I do try to eat clean when I can and Paleo Mama food takes the dread out of eating quality healthy food. read more

Love love love Paleo mama. I was first introduced to their products when I stumbled upon them at a woodmans in Green Bay. It was at the beginning of my journey to be more conscious of the things and ingredients I was consuming. It was hard to find products that were local that supported this within my own city. We moved to Madison and attended our first farmers market and I recognized the Paleo Mama tent right away and boy was I excited. Its amazing that things ended up being full circle and we now live in a place that offers us a healthier, more conscious way to treat ourselves. LOCALLY! I cannot say enough good things about Paleo Mama Bakery. As someone who has to eat a strict autoimmune paleo diet, and normally has to bake everything at home, Paleo Mama helps me to feel normal. We're very lucky to have this small bakery in our area! Every item I've tried is delicious. What's more is that even people who aren't paleo enjoy their desserts! I suffer from many food sensitivities and Paleo Mama provides many alternative sweet treat options I can enjoy. I live 3 hours away from Madison but many of their items are distributed within an hour of my home or on my travels around Wisconsin and neighboring states. My favorites are the raspberry lemon cheesecake, magic bars, banana chocolate muffin. They also make gluten free nan and bagels. I've only ever had the chance to try Paleo Mama Bakery at Woodman's Food Stores in Appleton, WI. Though, I'd be willing to make a special drive to Madison, WI, in the summertime when I can (to its home base) and enjoy the rest of the city too. Paleo Mama accommodates a variety of diets and lifestyle choices in a delicious way. I have had the chance to try the paleo cupcakes and cheesecakes. I love them, and they're not as guilt-inducing as others on the market. Was able to try a few of their items while visiting the farmers market in Madison and WOW!!!! I purchased their cinnamon rolls and those are hands down the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. They were so moist and packed full of flavor. Being gluten free, cinnamon rolls are hard to come by, but the delightful creations were the best i have ever had. Even my boyfriend, who isn't gluten free, thought they were some of the best cinnamon rolls he had ever had. We also tried their jalapeño cheddar rolls and those were amazing. It is super hard to find gluten free breads that aren't dry or grainy, but these were so moist and flavorful. Also, the employees were so welcoming and took time to get to know us a little. Really wish I lived in Madison just so I could experience their food more often. Hands down best gluten free bakery i have been to yet.
