My husband and I went at 6, the sunshine streamed through the windows and lit the space cheerfully. It was extremely busy! When we called ahead they warned that they do not take reservations and that they were at a peak time but since we weren't in a hurry we went anyway. When we arrived we were lucky and three tables were being cleared, all of which were immediately filled. The food was delicious! We ordered the 3 meatball appetizer: generously portioned, nicely seasoned and the sauce was amazing. Followed by the pepperoni pizza and salsiccia pizzas - the pepperoni was fresh and light with a good balanced taste. The salsiccia was a standout! We ended up with enough pizza to take home roughly half of each. Afterwards I had to treat myself to the chocolate panna cotta, which was rich, thick, creamy, and just a bit tangy - in other words perfect! I almost forgot to mention the free house foccacia, served with oil and balsamic, nice and fresh and light. We also used it to wipe the last of the sauce from the meatball appy! I enjoyed a sicilian sunset martini, which was fruity and fun, followed by taking a chance on a glass of the house white wine. I've been disappointed before and so I was really pleased to find out that their house wine was actually very nice! All together, bill came to $100.90 (before tip) and I am now in food coma! Oh, one other thing, they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. We caught "Tom & Georgina Arntzen", not really my cup of tea, but pleasant enough. The musical act is posted on their Facebook page and they seem to have many different acts coming through. Altogether I highly recommend this place!

Great family restaurant with crisp salads, wonderful pizza and fresh pasta with lamb. Desserts were also a hit with delicious tiramisu and the best cannoli. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back!

We had wonderful thin Neapolitan pizza and delicious meatballs. The cannoli were also excellent. Can't wait to get back there ASAP.

My…read morehusband and I were visiting last year for his birthday and ordered a pizza here one night and absolutely loved it. Fast forward to just a couple of weeks ago, and we were back in Vancouver to celebrate another special occasion, plus I was running a half marathon. We made reservations via Open Table about 1-2 months before our trip and noted that we were celebrating a special occasion (anniversary). When we arrived, the hostess and our server both made a point to wish us a Happy Anniversary, and even offered us some complimentary flutes of Prosecco! This was unexpected and so thoughtful of them! It was also the night before my half marathon, so I hesitated to drink, but what the heck...why not?! It was a special occasion too after all! (Even so, my hubby drank most of mine haha) We're both plant-based athletes and fitness professionals, so we truly appreciate that they have really good vegan and vegetarian options here. I got the Pomodoro pasta and my husband got the Pesto di Nocciole, plus we ordered the Charred Broccolini to share. Every dish was absolutely perfect and so full of flavor. Definitely enjoyed carbo-loading for my race! A huge thank you and grazie to our server, Gary! He's so kind and welcoming, and we appreciated him making our evening so special!

We didn't realize there was happy hour ending at 6pm. We got the Polpette al forno ( meatball & homemade bread) $7 , Spaghetti bolognese special $29, and finocchiona pizza. The food tasted amazing, and their chili oil is a must The staff were very friendly, made recommendations and gave coloring sheet and crayons for our kiddo. It was very busy and glad we finished within the hour. The Ambiance was busy and cozy. Lots of street parking in the area.

Although the dining room is very small, dining in was most enjoyable. The atmosphere is very cozy, the booths are very comfortable and there was nice music playing softly. Their website has an option to book a table online but I would suggest calling if you want to make a reservation. We tried booking a reservation online and we received an email saying that our request had been received and they would get back to us. We never received a follow up email or phone call and ended up having to phone in for a reservation. When we were there for dinner on Mother's Day we were the only customers dining in. The service was very good and the owner's wife came to our table on a couple of occasions to ensure that everything was okay. The prices are reasonable. They have a small list of wines available that are also reasonably priced. Wednesday and Sunday are BYOB with no corkage fee. For dinner we had a bottle of wine and shared a Sopprosatto pizza and spaghetti carbonara. The pizza was delicious. They brought extra chili oil to the table. The spaghetti was slightly overcooked and not al dente. There was a very small amount of bacon. I also find that the bacon does not provide as nice a flavour as pancetta gives to the dish. It was not one of the better carbonaras that we've had. It was not a dish I would order again. It is unlikely that we would return. We really enjoyed the pizza, loved the dining room inside and the service was good, however the spaghetti carbonara was very disappointing and we did not see any other pastas that appealed to us. When we go out for Italian food my husband really likes to have pasta.

We ordered the following: Gamberi Al Martini Penne Arrabbiata Tiramisu Mom wasn't extremely hungry so she just had a prawn appetizer while I ordered the Penne Arrabbiata dish as I was much hungrier than her. My Penne dish was supposed to come with spicy tomato sauce along with capers and black olives. I honestly didn't find the tomato sauce spicy but that actually suited me better as I was more interested in the capers and black olives part of it, than the spicy part of it. I generally prefer my food to be non spicy so I enjoyed this dish. If spicy is what you're looking for though, then I wouldn't recommend this dish. Oh, we got some free bread as restaurants often do; however, instead of butter to go with the bread they gave us some kind of white dip. Looked kinda like Tzatziki but it was definitely not Tzatziki. It was sooooo good! I inquired about it and found out that it was some kind of white bean dip. I was tempted to get some Tiramisu for dessert but was also really full from my pasta dish. Didn't think I could stomach an order of Tiramisu...but then our server suggested that he might be able to bring me a half order of Tiramisu. Oooo, this sounded like a very tempting proposition. It isn't written anywhere on the menu, but it was an ingenius idea. So I agreed to the half order. Great idea. Got to satisfy my Tiramisu craving and ended up extremely full, but not insanely extremely full! Parking: Parking on Lonsdale is no longer free these days but I still managed to score some free parking on a side street. Service: Excellent

Service is exceptional except the main dish took a long time. When they realized we didn't drink much wine they offered to substitute other drinks and wine samplers. We did the set menu which included bruschettas, salad main and dessert. - the bruschettas are spectacular per name of restaurant. So many things come with them. Mine the salmon and tomatoes and bell pepper all went so well together with the toast, and the avocado and lettuce too. - caprese salad was top notch. Tomatoes are soo fresh and good. So was the burrata. - the Caesar salad was mustardy and had a very weird taste. - the porchetta took a long time but was worth it. Really tender and wonderful taste and texture, and the pasta was fresh and really tasty. What a spectacular set menu and place to celebrate special occasions!

We tried the pizza today, but perhaps we'll come back for some pasta or the sandwich (on the test kitchen menu). The pizzas were WONDERFUL! We've been to Italy a few times, mostly familiar with Neapolitan food, and this definitely is the closest I've come to my Italian pizza since being back in Canada. Fresh, quality ingredients and a crispy, thin crust. Perfection! The prosciutto was buttery and rich, the greens all fresh, the tomato sauce *chef's kiss*! I recommend the Prosciutto crisp and arugula pizza. The staff was very kind and checked on us multiple times. The restaurant was clean and a very convenient location. Someone said it was hard to get a table, but we went for a late lunch and had no problem, so I suppose the time matters. (Lunch rush in this area is busy everywhere.) Overall, I will return and would recommend!
