    Carpaccio. Mussels in curry sauce.

This used to be our favourite place before it changed hands. What is happening?! Four people at the table next to us were also disappointed. Carpaccio was drowned in cheese and sauce. They were 'out of clams'..?! Mussels' sauce not flavourful. The drinks were ridiculously small. We've never had to ask for a double cocktail before. The crème brûlée was inedible. The top wasn't even crusty. Must have been made hours before. So sad. Not going back.

Exquisite meal. Lovely ambiance. Great service. Warm hospitality, knowledgeable and amiable service, distinguished wine list, wonderful representation of traditional Italian dishes. An absolute must among North Vancouver establishments. We will return. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Outstanding food! This is a busy restaurant in North Vancouver and reservations are recommended. We had a delightful experience here. The food was outstanding. We tried the Capelli D'Angelo Con Gamberi and the Vitello Forestiera and substituted vegies to try the fettucine alfredo. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional. Great wine selection as well. I look forward to a return visit!

Bravo! Came here to celebrate a special day on 8/13 - really late on doing my review - and Cathy, our waitress, and the gentleman server, were both fantastic! The food was excellent! Did a Yelp search for a great Italian restaurant and Bravo Cucina popped up. With few reviews, I was not expecting a whole lot, but so very glad I listened. Everything from the Italian bread with a garlic spread to the gamberi al martini appetizer to the veal cannelloni were just so yummy. The appetizer consists of four shrimp with capers and a butter sauce - so simple but so sublime. The cannelloni was a special that night, and the pasta, cheese and sauce were perfect. The friend with me ordered spaghetti and said the marinara sauce was really good and loved the fresh parmesan. The berry cheesecake was a mix of blackberries and others, I don't remember what, but it was the right consistency and really good. I kept telling our waitress how great everything was. Cathy was wonderful, too. She welcomed us, asked if we had been to Bravo Cucina before, and went over the menu. She was friendly but didn't overstep any boundaries. She checked on us consistently. The server was also perfect. He joked with us and made us feel at home. They both kept the dishes cleared, wiped the tablecloth of crumbs, and we didn't want for anything. There are about 15 tables in this restaurant and I don't think any of them would be considered a bad seat. It's a smaller restaurant and the dining area is one room. There are a couple poles that stand out because of the building's construction that they turned into coat racks but I give the owners a point for making the best out of the situation. There are some quirky Italian masks on the wall that could go away. The dark wood, white tablecloths, candles and wine racks are all comforting. They also have outdoor tables. There's not a parking lot anywhere nearby that I saw. There is street parking and it appeared free, but it could've been because we were there late in the evening. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in Vancouver. Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 Parking: 4

I was at a work dinner function so the review is based on the set menu we were given. The menu selection had a little bit of everything to appeal to everyone's food preferences. Service was very good. Our server was quick to take our drink and food orders. Food arrived fairly quickly. My poached pear salad was good and there was plenty of blue cheese. I was expecting a half or whole pear and not a cut up pear for presentation purposes. People were raving about the mushroom soup and the soup did look tasty. The pasta tasted fresh. I chose the spaghetti bolognese. It is not the best pasta I have eaten, but it was decent. The sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes which is a good thing. The dessert round was a shared dessert plate. I was not a fan of that for hygienic reason. There was no separate utensils to pick up the dessert and people were digging in with the same spoon they were eating with so I skipped that portion of the meal. I would have preferred my own dessert. Overall, I did enjoy most of the food and good conversations with my fellow work colleagues.

Not bad but not worth the price. We had the Pescatore and Curry Shrimp linguine ($20 ea). Portions were good but not very flavourful, very little sauce. We had the house red; surprisingly tasty. Service was exceptional! Truly European standard. The decor was dated and worn out. The center of the room was a post for everyone's jackets on hooks. Seriously in need of a renovation. We had to ask to have A/C turned off. IN JANUARY! This place has the potential to be great. Let's see if they have the courage to reinvent themselves.

The service was great as well as my pasta dish and drinks that he recommended. The restaurant was nicely decorated.

We'd been to Alberello Pizzeria once a few years ago and I remember being super impressed with the pizza there, so when the family decided to go there for dinner again, I knew I would be ordering pizza again. In addition to pizza, I also tried some of the Rucola salad which another member of the family had ordered. The grapefruit in it definitely gave it a pop of colour, and while grapefruit isn't exactly my favourite fruit when it comes to taste, I did enjoy the juiciness of the fruit. I ordered the Grille Pizza which came with marinara sauce, mozzarella, roasted eggplant, roasted red pepper, zucchini, fresh parsley and chili oil. Pretty sure this was the same pizza I had ordered the first time we came to this restaurant. It was super tasty and they did a good job of roasting the vegetables on top. When I eat anything with eggplant on it, I always prefer my eggplant to be cooked until it has become very soft. My daughter however ordered the exact same pizza as me, and for some reason the veggies were not as soft on her pizza; so while I very much enjoyed my food I think this restaurant needs to work a bit on consistency since my daughter's pizza wasn't quite as enjoyable as mine. Service is exceptional except the main dish took a long time. When they realized we didn't drink much wine they offered to substitute other drinks and wine samplers. We did the set menu which included bruschettas, salad main and dessert. - the bruschettas are spectacular per name of restaurant. So many things come with them. Mine the salmon and tomatoes and bell pepper all went so well together with the toast, and the avocado and lettuce too. - caprese salad was top notch. Tomatoes are soo fresh and good. So was the burrata. - the Caesar salad was mustardy and had a very weird taste. - the porchetta took a long time but was worth it. Really tender and wonderful taste and texture, and the pasta was fresh and really tasty. What a spectacular set menu and place to celebrate special occasions!

We tried the pizza today, but perhaps we'll come back for some pasta or the sandwich (on the test kitchen menu). The pizzas were WONDERFUL! We've been to Italy a few times, mostly familiar with Neapolitan food, and this definitely is the closest I've come to my Italian pizza since being back in Canada. Fresh, quality ingredients and a crispy, thin crust. Perfection! The prosciutto was buttery and rich, the greens all fresh, the tomato sauce *chef's kiss*! I recommend the Prosciutto crisp and arugula pizza. The staff was very kind and checked on us multiple times. The restaurant was clean and a very convenient location. Someone said it was hard to get a table, but we went for a late lunch and had no problem, so I suppose the time matters. (Lunch rush in this area is busy everywhere.) Overall, I will return and would recommend!

Ended up taking a bit of both home. We devoured most of the calamari - it had a different tomato sauce for dipping that was equally yummy. I went against everything I believe in and tried a piece of the pizza. Neopolitan style I believe. Thin crust and cooked to perfection. And I loved it - anchovies and all. Our server was Helen and she was great. We appreciated that she wore her mask. Good sense of humour and really nice. I would give Palermo 5 stars just for service. Double bonus that the food was great too. Super reasonably priced and they even had a promotion that we got to keep our strong bow glasses. Served on ice with lime - just the way I like it! The meatballs were good, but our favorite was the appetizer with burrata and prosciutto - already a match made in heaven, but quality prosciutto and creamy burrata.
