There are very few places I can actually say that I'm absolutely returning and this is one... I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican ice cream (probably because no even the real stuff in mexico suites my taste buds) but this place has really got some delicous stuff! I had the tamarindo ice cream and if you like sweet and sour, like pucker sour, this is delicious. They're staff is friendly and willing RI let you try a few flavors before you pick the best one you like. Oh and did I mention they have Popsicles? I have a confession. I have been here 3 times in 1 week for the Paletas. The popsicles & ice cream are made on the premises. The different flavors and selection are amazing. My family has tried all of the following and they were all great: Nuez (walnut), jamaica (hibiscus), pepino (cucumber) w/chia, esquimales (dipped in chocolate), nance, mango, Pico de gallo, and pistachio. All so yummy and love the small pieces of fruit in them. Clean, family run shop. My only complaint, why charge 25 cents to use a card? We are living in times that this is how we transact business. I will continue to use my card because it's only a quarter but it would make the shop owner's life easier if they didn't have to ask if they can charge more for a card with every transaction. But $2.25 for each Popsicle is a great price. So 5 stars for sure. Always a friendly young lady that has taken care of us. read more

I discovered this place by a word of mouth recommendation and I am so glad I found them! Their popsicles are the only thing I've tried but boy they are delicious!!! The pepino, limon, chia & chamoy popsicle is excellent. The flavor is magnificent and I the little pieces of pepino in the popsicle. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My only complaint is I wish it had more chamoy on it...maybe down the sides. We have also tried the jamaica, fresas con crema and nuez. The milk based popsicles are just as delicious as the water based. My goal is to try them all! The Avocado, Pistachio & Guanabana are on my list to try next. Great variety of Popsicles & Ice-cream. The place is not overtly crowded like other places I've been before. It is very clean, nice minimalist decor and friendly staff. The pricing is very fair particularly for the quality of the ingredients. Everything seems very fresh. They just opened so I hope they stay true to their humble beginnings. Suggestion would be to add a few chairs for people to sit and enjoy there. Also maybe add aguas frescas & fruta picada to their menu. Where do I start? When I walked in, I was helped by Stephanie. Since I was unsure on what to get. She was very helpful with my decision. I started with a Tostilocos. I have had some in the past that were ok. But the ones here were great. A combination of sweet and spicy. The tamarindo candy on top completed it. Next I had their paletas, which were amazing. Paleteria Azteca! I had been wanting to try it for a long time, but since I live 30 min away I always postponed my visit. Last night I took my husband, my brother in law and his girlfriend expecting great things from this place. The nance (yellow cherry) paleta I got was very good, the rest of my family got ice cream; cookie monster, and chocolate mint were their choices. They said it wasn't worth the drive, but I though it was ok. I also got an Esquite (corn in a cup) that corn was very bad!!! I was only able to taste the mayo and cheese. The corn it self got no flavor at all. YO be honest I ended up throwing it away. Such a disappointment =( other than that service was very good and that's why I give them 3 stars. read more

My husband and I come here as often as 2-3 times per week. We will be randomly sitting at home and decide we are craving some Paleteria Azteca. this place is amaaaaaazing. We have both tried a variety of items varying from their paletas to the chicharron preparado. The esquites are really good in my opinion. my husbands favorite is the paleta de limon, mine is the tamarindo con Chile. Their mango and lemon ice cream is delicious aswell! 1 star for the delicious ice cream other than that i'd give this store 0 stars. Rude customer service .. i felt extremely rushed throughout my whole experience !!! I simply asked her what was the most popular flavor and she replied with " everything is popular here ". I then narrowed down my choices to 3 and then proceeded to ask her which one i should get between those 3 ... she rudely chuckled and said that they were all equally good. wtf ?!?!?!? I just decided with horchata. it was not a pleasant experience. She was no help at all! No " hi's" or "welcome" when i walked in either ... this is common sense people !!!! Please reevaluate how you run your shop. I was hoping this place would be bangerssss but i left disappointed. i actually came back to ask to use the restroom but was turned away with a rude " no public restrooms here" .... Unlike other ice cream shops that focus on social media and packaging/trade dress, this place serves great flavors with a friendly service. This shop doesn't have a website, fancy t-shirt, or trademarked logos, but they more than make it up with countless flavors (i stopped counting after 30), freshness, and low prices. If you want the instagram hype and average ice cream served in a cup with a fancy logo, drive over to Afters and select an overpriced cup within about 10 flavors. I'm going to stick with affordable but fresh, high quality ice cream served with a mom-n-pop charm. Substance over style. read more
