Now I have one by me on Jeffrey in Irvine and now this lovely location in Tustin on Irvine Blvd. My sister and I went around the world that day and last minute I pulled a fast right into the shopping center. Walked right in and was greeted immediately. The service here is stellar. Both employees, younger dude and young lady were nice and the young Sir was extra chipper. Great options on flavors and toppings bountiful! The one topping I wish they had and it's hard to describe were these crunchy brown ashy looking bits that I used to have back in the day. They may have been from Penguins lol but either way, I could've sworn Golden had them too. Anywho, the servings are generous and everything is fresh! Finally got to try Golden Spoon. This frozen yogurt chain almost tastes like cool whip sometimes and leaves kind of a strange film aftertaste. I always appreciate the ability to sample as many flavors as I need. The caramel was a little too sweet for me but great flavor, the marshmallow was very light and probably the most cool whip like. I really enjoyed the tart since you can never go wrong with that flavor. Their deals are great, and great portion and not too expensive. Golden spoon has always been my favorite! However, this location was very disappointing. We discovered this new location and have visited 3 times in the last 3 weeks. Tuesday is free topping day. The workers gave us 4 free toppings on the side in 4 little separate cups that come with the purchase of a large size cup. This last Tuesday, we ordered a large cup again and asked for the 4 cups of toppings that we were always told come with the large. Unfortunately, the owner only gave us 4 TINY TEASPOON SIZE SCOOPS OF TOPPINGS. When we asked for the rest of the toppings, she said a large only comes with 4 little spoonfuls of toppings. WTH??? Then she said her workers were mistaken and should've never given us that much toppings. Really? 4 tiny spoonfuls? I will NOT go back due to this owner being super cheap about the portions of the toppings and the yogurt!! She probably saved herself 10- 25 cents in food cost and lost a loyal customer for years to come. read more
