My family's favorite local paleteria. Tonight I picked up some Antojitos for our movie night at home. An order of Chorreados: (nachos, cheese, esquite, pickled cueritos, diced cucumber, Japanese peanuts, Mexican cheese, and hot sauce and jalapeños), esquimal (chocolate dipped) piloncillo and topped off with pecans, Ferrero rocher and quince paleta, chocolate dipped mazapan and a scoop of cookie monster. Service is great here. The regular employees know us and our order preferences. It was packed for a Sunday evening and I'm glad we got there before closing, but we were taken care of immediately after entering the store. Do try their new piloncillo filled paleta if you're a caramel lover like myself. Ask to have it dipped in chocolate and pecans. Omg, you'll thank me later. I'm a huge dessert person and this is going to be my new go to dessert spot! First off, the staff are amazing. We had a kind gentleman who was so friendly and answered all the questions I had. I happened to be in the mood for churros and so I ordered several regular churros and the only regret I have is not ordering more! They were made fresh right after I placed my order - the outside was nice and crunchy while the inside was fluffy, the texture and flavor was perfect. We'll have to order a dipping sauce next time just to try it out in addition to trying their variety of paletas, which also looked INCREDIBLE!! So glad we stepped foot in here. The lady that owns this and her staff are always very helpful and nice. Elotes - 100 percent! All of the ice cream bars are incredible, we normally run in and get 10-20 flavors to take home and try. Beware of the round things in tinfoil! Those things with the carmel filling are straight ctlrack and you will become addicted! Save them for a professional like me to deal with. ;) read more

I stopped by Paleteria Del Angel for dessert after lunch and it was the perfect sweet snack after a big meal! When we arrived they were not busy at all so we were able to take our time and look at all of the options. While the paletas all looked amazing I'm a sucker for fresas con crema. Along with that we tried a vanilla raspado, a gansito paleta, and plain churros. The paletas always have great texture and are full of flavor. I personally like the milk based ones and they're always smooth and creamy! The raspado was icy and refreshing and again, big fan of the classics, had to go vanilla. The churros were amazing! They were freshly made and fluffy. I only wish there was a little more cinnamon! It was perfect that we didn't add condensed milk or caramel to the churros though because dipping them into the fresas con crema mix was sooo good! The girls at the counter were super nice and patient and the place is so brightly colored. It's a great atmosphere for desserts! First off, the inside of the store is fun to look at as it's brightly lit, colorful decor scheme, and spacious. Secondly, there's so many treats to choose from that I wanted to try it all. Lastly, the service was great and the two ladies working were really friendly. I'm definitely coming back! We ordered a Churro Split and a traditional Funnel Cake. The Churro Split was ahh-mazing! The Churros were made fresh and they had a light airy crunch to them, which was perfect. As for the ice cream, it was to my surprise I got to pick my flavors! I don't know the names of what I picked but ALL 3 BIG scoops were so delicious. The Funnel Cake, also made fresh, was really good. It was deep fried perfectly and it was light, not dense like at the fair. It's worth noting that it came out golden brown and not dark like when the oil is old if that makes any sense. The agua frescas are booooomb. We got the strawberry horchata, the cucumber agua fresca and the watermelon agua fresca. The bits of fresh fruit are the best part of the drink. Now the weather is warmer, got to give this platería a try:) they have a huge variety of homemade paletas (popsicles) and yummy antojitos. My family and I decided to try a variety and they didn't disappoint! The fresas con crema, huge portion of frozen strawberries mixed with crema and lechera, super creamy! I've tried a many of paletas and they are well made and very flavorful naturally. Have the pepino(cucumber) agua fresca with tajin and chamoy, so refreshing and natural! And lastly the esquite, sweet buttery corn with the traditional fix ins, very flavorful! Now for the service, the staff was very attentive and when asked questions they had recommendations ready to go. Won't affect the rating but keep it mind that everything is made to order except for the paletas, so be ready to wait a little bit based on what you order. I was greeted by friendly staff when I walked in, and they were eager to serve me. The place itself is clean and spacious, with a couple of tables and a counter seating. There's also seating outside for the warmer days. Their Halo Water is really good and my favorite. I usually order the Agua De Pina. How they turn it into halo water is, they drizzle chamoy in the cup and the edge of the cup and add Chili powder. Then they put the agua fresca, in my case it's the Agua Pina, in the cup and it's so delicious. I have also tried their Esquite and it was also really good. They also made my churros how I like it, sunny yellow and not deep golden brown (well done). They can put all sorts of toppings on it if you want but I just wanted mine with sugar. I personally haven't been back in this store since the Yelp event last year. But I have enjoyed some sweet treats when my daughter and son in law pick us up paletas. My favorite is the strawberry kiwi, I also ordered lime, and coffee and I also ordered churros. They take a bit to get but that's because they cook them fresh when you order. I ordered mine with sugar but you can also get them with condensed milk and chocolate or as a churro split!!! I have been coming to the Paleteria for years now. They by far have the best paletas in town. All freshly made in-house with some very creative flavors that I haven't seen outside of Mexico. You can't miss with their Gansito, arroz con leche, café, Mazapán, or Ferrero Rocher flavored paletas. They also have the best mango, strawberry (water and milk based), and coconut flavored paletas in town. In addition to the paletas, they have an amazing variety of antojitos available. You can never go wrong with an esquite (Mexican corn in a cup) or coco loco (fresh coconut along with over chopped fresh fruit covered in lime juice and chile powder). I love trying new places especially in my town so I can support our local business. I have been eyeing this place and finally decided to give it a try. I walked in right when they opened and the ambiance was nice. I wanted to order everything since it all looked good. I ordered the cucumber water with chamoy and it was good. The service was kind. However, I went into the bathroom right when they opened and I was disgusted. I don't care how great a place can be but if the bathroom isn't somewhat presentable for the paying customers I won't want to go back because I'm paying for an overall experience. It's also super awesome for itndiversifies our city more and more. We need companies to open up that are new to the audience, but traditional to others. They have soamy flavors and so many options. This place is a hidden gem in sparks! Tucked away in the shopping center across from reed high school is a yummy place offering not only ice cream but they offer agua Fresca, snacks, and churros! The last time we went was on a Saturday afternoon and all tables were taken but by the time we received our order a table opened up. Service was great! Cookies and cream ice cream bar was delish and had 2 whole Oreo cookies along with crushed cookies inside! The churros were made fresh! We decided to have it drizzled with caramel and condensed milk, but it was definitely very sweet so I would recommend to eat the churros alone; the flavor of the cinnamon sugar and texture of the churro shines through you wouldn't need to dress it up! My sister ordered the pistachio ice cream bar and it was so good, I would definitely order that next time. I was surprised there were lots of pistachios inside the bar! My brother in law ordered BlackBerry yogurt ice cream bar & previously ordered black berry and cream ice cream scoop. The ice cream bar tasted fresh with the berries and had a smooth texture however the scoop of ice cream I remembered it was pretty icy. I recently offers strawberry & sweet cream and at first I thought I ordered the wrong bar as the outside of the bar was a solid strawberry color, no signs of cream but I was pleasantly surprised as I continue to eat it that it was FILLED with sweet cream in the middle! I recommend this as well! My husband recently ordered the lime ice pop and it was lovely! Fresh lime flavor! If you like tart flavors this is perfect! Lastly we ordered a chocolate ice cream scoop for my daughter and we were surprised the flavor had cinnamon flavor! As we sat and enjoyed our goodies the line kept building reaching to the entrance. We noticed other customers ordered the savory snacks as well which I will definitely try in the future! One thing to note is that although we enjoyed the fresh churros, we ended up smelling like the oil. Ice cream surprise. My son and sister and I were in the mood for an afternoon ice cream. This establishment had several good reviews, so we decided to try it. We struggled finding it because there is no signage other than what is painted in the window facing the high school. We saw man many options for fruit juice bars in the front freezers. We though wanted ice cream. We were thrilled when we saw the variety of flavors of desire. The creamy texture of this ice cream and the richness of the flavors make it well worth finding this venue. The high schoolers must really enjoy the flavored juice bars. I will try those in the future. I absolutely love an Instagramable moment and boy oh boy when you walk in there's one right to the left. There's an epic pair of wings painted right onto the wall by whoever must be the most talented person in the world! They have every flavor you can imagine for the popsicle like creations called Palatas. You can get a milk or water version though I like the milk version most they also have a lot of really tasty drinks and the ice cream was so good!! We asked for a recommendation and ended up going with a monster? Themed ice cream I forget the exact name but it was so tasty and it was blue. Every employee was very nice and everything was super clean and organized. They had a very cute little cart that was like a classic ice cream cart great again for photos. Now if you're not like me and you don't love to take photos that's OK they have really great tasty flavors in a lot of unique creations that I'm sure you'll absolutely fall in love with. Overall if you're looking for a great place to try some new delicious kinds of desserts I would really recommend stopping by and trying this place out. Traditional Mexican flavors can be found here like guanabana (soursop), tunas (cactus fruit), nuez (walnut) - but you'll be delighted to find strawberry, mango, coconut, and other mainstream fruits. Something for everyone's palette. I order a couple paletas (ice cream bars), an aqua fresca, and a churro dish which everyone devoured before I could get a bite in. My son and his friends were tired after playing baseball in 100 degree weather so these treats brought them back to life. Very fair prices, and I think it's better to support these family owned businesses instead of corporations that only care about being profitable for their investors. Two churros up!  This place is amazing!  I made my bf take a drive with me on a Sunday evening to get ice cream and churros.  What a nice, open, bright, and cheery place.  Everyone was so kind and in a great mood...and it was packed, this place was busy.  This is a good sign because I really hope they do well.   I was pretty easy going with my order and picked the pistachio popsicle and the first two flavors if ice cream.  She was so kind to ask if I wanted toppings, I said "no it's ok".  Then when the guy came around the counter to bring us our mug, yes he walked around the counter and out to the window where we were sitting to deliver our churros.  He also asked if he could put any toppings on, after a couple times of asking I finally said "yes ok put ALL the toppings on".  He gladly walked back behind the counter, added toppings, then delivered to us again.  How sweet! We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-dinner treat at the counter by the window.  I couldn't get over what a nice view they have here, it's in a great location. I took my grandson to check out the desserts here today and we were not disappointed! The employees were friendly and helpful which we appreciated as there were a lot to choose from! I tried the kiwi strawberry paleta and it was so good! It was water based I was told as there was no dairy in it. The other choices included dairy or yogurt based. The Churros were crispy and warm with the right amount of sweet and creamy vanilla ice cream with chocolate to compliment them. I picked several to try later and brought a small cooler to keep them from melting on the way home. It's so nice to have a new place to get a treat in Sparks that are only a few bucks each.
