Two flights, eight delicious drinks! Lavender days was beautiful and the drinks were even better. We got a coffee flight and a refresher flight. Both were absolutely delicious. I really liked the coffee flight. The lavender was really prominent and flavorful. I highly recommend trying it out next year during lavender days. We don't get to try any food, but it looked beautiful and yummy!
My sister and I drove out to try the Lavender Refresher Flight and the Lavender Coffee Flight. Both were absolutely delicious and well worth the drive! My favorites were the lavender cold brew with banana cold foam and the blueberry lavender refresher. The place was full but we were able to place our order fairly quickly and recieved it in about 10 minutes. They also sold baked goods but we didn't buy any at this time. The staff were very kind and helpful. We also checked out the shop across the way and it had such nice items. Seating was all outdoors and the weather was very nice, with enough seating in either shade or sunshine. We were also fortunate enough to be there while ABBy-Q was there and we got the most delicious Mac Smash and Brioche Boss.
My friend and I learned the hard way that Grandpa cellars should be a first stop upon trekking out to Apple Hill, we came once towards the end of the day and were told the flights were all done for the day. Yikes! I've come for the fall iced coffee which were halloween themed and was excited for the Lavendar flights. The desserts are huge and inviting I settled up on a blueberry cinnamon roll, and a Lavendar lemon cupcake. I'm in love with my cinnamon roll, it's actually the size of my face! Lol The flights are cute and more for the experience than that the taste. They also had a Lavendar refresher flight. Altogether I spent $30 including a Lavendar cookie Sounds about right for Apple Hill. Will be coming back in the fall to sample and savor some more!
Have been here a couple of times on my yearly Apple Hill trip with my friends and it's honestly a must stop. They have delicious iced coffee, including a small iced coffee flight so you can try their different flavors, lots of sweet treats to try from, and a cute shop to get some momentos. The cinnamon roll is huge and delicious! While here we stopped at the food truck parked in the grass for breakfast which was perfect since this was our first stop. Speaking of first stops, I definitely recommend coming here first as soon as they open because it gets insanely busy. We got here two thin the first ten minutes of them opening and there was already a line of people and most tables were taken. It can get impossible to stop here later in the day. The staff were nice, but busy, and it can get chaotic in line because they have two registers that can take your order so unfortunately my friend was cut in line but was still able to order. Definitely recommend and I'll be back!
If you are coming on the weekend, be prepared to wait! The line was really long and it took about 30 mins to get to the front. We were fortunate enough to find a parking spot in the back but it could take you a while. We ordered the Halloween cold brew flight and the cookie monster apple. I loved all the different flavors of coffee! Very festive and got me in the Halloween spirit. My favorite part of the apple were the bits of cookie dough. I was planning on taking an apple to go but since they use hot caramel on sliced apples, they informed me that it would get watery. Just keep that in mind. My friend and I spent the most time here because there was plenty of shade and spots to sit outside.
So overhyped it's crazy. We got the cold brew flight for $15.50 and it came with the tiniest jars of s'more, caramel, mocha, and peppermint mocha cold brews. The presentation isn't even that cute, they put all jars on this wooden padle but the syrup is haphazardly drizzled and your hands get sticky holding the jars to drink from them. I would say they were all about 4oz each. S'more: this was the best one by far, but even then it wasn't anything special. Just some chocolate syrup on the bottom with cold brew poured inside. Mix it with the whipped cream and you get a kinda-sorta smores thing going on Caramel: just tasted like caramel syrup on the bottom with cold brew on top. It was good but you could technically put caramel syrup on any of the other flights and it would taste exactly the same but also save them for being as bad as they were Mocha: this was not good. Slightly bitter but also really sweet at the same time? No flavor at all? Drizzle some of that caramel syrup on here please! Peppermint mocha: okay, I'm a BIG fan of peppermint mocha, mint and chocolate, etc. I was looking forward to this one the most but it was awful! Just awful! It was super watered down and all they did was sprinkle candy canes on top and called it a day? Where is the peppermint flavor?! PASSSSSS on Grandpa's Cellar, it's all hype and NOT worth the lines. It's also really not that cute here for any photos! Visit another farm
The parking lot was hard to find parking and the lines were long but it was sure worth the wait! The vibe was there! You knew everyone was eager and there for the same reason as you- the viral coffee flights! While we waited for our order we decided to stop in to browse the store on the property. It was adorable and a must see! You can bottle up your own honey right there in the store or grab a souvenir! While waiting for our order we found tables in the shade while the kids got to play with the lawn games free of charge. Our order came in a timely manner for how busy they were! We ordered the pumpkin spice latte and the classic coffee flight. The classic flight consisted of different flavor coffees- s'mores, Carmel, mocha and birthday cake. My favorite was the birthday cake one! I can't wait to come back again!
Wow! A fun experience, maybe just for the adults? The lines were pretty long in peak season (expected), but they pushed through quickly ! There is a ton of space to sit on grass, so bring a blanket for an adorable apple orchard picnic! The cold brew flight was okay. I split mine with one other person and that was definitely the smart move. It's cute, not too much to do. I wouldn't bring kids just because there isn't much for them and the line for the cold brew / lemonade flights took around 25 minutes to order, then another 10 to get the drinks. It was all good and fun! But maybe add another farm to go explore while you're up here.

You wouldn't think Apple Hill would have great tacos but those were actually some of the best tacos I've had in my life. The property is really fun to walk around and explore as well. The employees are kind and the vibes are fun. I went on a Friday and it was relatively busy. I can't imagine how busy it gets on a Saturday and Sunday during busy season. I recommend planning accordingly to get there early to beat the crowds. I absolutely recommend checking Grandpa's Cellar out when you're in Apple Hill.

We came on a Monday morning at opening and there was plenty of parking. On a regular weekend I could see this place getting crowded quickly because of their coffee and lemonade flights.
On a previous trip to Apple Hill, we tried to come here and it was too late in the day where they had stopped serving flights and were out of pie so made the mental note that next time this would have to be the first stop. Came again this past Friday and there was no wait at 11am. Ordered the cold brew flight and a couple dessert items. The cold brew flight was caramel, mocha, peppermint and s'more. The s'more and the caramel one were the best in my opinion, could have done without the other two. We got a pumpkin cheese cake which was fine, nothing out of this world and well I don't like apples so the rest of the baked good were a no go for me. Everything was fine I just feel like this place is a bit overhyped.

Great place to stop for food and there coffee flights! The service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was perfect for fall! The best place to stop starting your Apple hill day!

My sister and I went for lavender season! The staff were so nice and friendly. Very accommodating. The area was calming, nature, and pleasant atmosphere. We tried the flights they were offering! They were so good. I really enjoyed myself and will comes back with my doggie too! read more

My friends and I started a morning at Apple Hill here. We had seen their coffee flights online and wanted to try. I also got (not pictured) a HUGE cinnamon roll. They were super busy, but the line went quickly and the staff were friendly. They only have outdoor seating, so dress warm! I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll, which had chunks of apple in it. The coffee flight was also good, but I'm not the biggest coffee person, so I don't know if others would like it as much. read more
Came out for their cute coffee flights, line can get long and wait times vary. Positive note they hand out pagers so you don't have to wait around. They have a store on site with goodies, a couple of porta potties around back and a food truck out front. read more
Visited Grandpa's Cellar for the fall season to try their Johnny Appleseed flight and Lemonade Flight! Each was so different, but my personal favorite from each was the Green Apple flight and the blueberry coconut lemonade. They were all truly refreshing & a great value for the price. The staff here are very friendly and attentive, they charged us for a slice of apple crumble without realizing they had ran out and were able to find a last slice of apple coffee cake for us instead, which was so delicious. They also had a taco truck on property the day of our visit and our chicken tacos were delicious! It gets pretty busy here, so I would recommend getting there as early as possible, but no matter the wait you won't regret it! read more

OMG!!!!!! I love it here. I got the cold brew with almond milk, I can't remember the exact name but right when you walk in you will be able to see the name of it on the menu. Each mini cold brew was a different flavor of your choice. The line was wrapped around the building and it took about 20 mins to get inside. Once you get to ordering it comes out within 5 mins and they have a lot of outdoor seating as well. I would definitely recommend you stop at this farm! read more

First time visiting after it was recommended from a family member. Arrived right in time for last call for a coffee flight. Arrive before 3:45pm if you want to order from this place. Tried the coffee flight. Really good cold coffees, would definitely return! Sat in the picnic tables in the grassy area, nice for my toddler to roam! read more

I would get the coffee (cold brew when I went) flight again because it's a fun thing to do in Apple Hill. Parking here is difficult when you get there 10am on a Saturday so be warned. The line was also long. A fun beautiful place to hang out though. read more
Grandpa seller is a must check out place if you're in Apple Hill. I would recommend getting the cold brew coffee, flights, if you're looking for something with coffee and a variety of taste. The service here is great. Do keep in mind that there will be long lines on the weekend but it is to be expected. Ambience of this place is extremely family friendly and so beautiful during fall. The bake here are delicious. I would recommend the apple dumpling or a slice of Dutch apple pie with ice cream on top. read more
Really cute place with lots of seating. This place is very popular so be prepared to wait in line. The coffee flights were delicious. The flavors were mocha, salted caramel, smores, and peppermint mocha. The coffee had a nice flavor and wasn't overly sweet. I would try their hot cider flight next time. This was our first stop and the place was packed. Almost no parking left and it had only been open for 2hrs and it was a Monday! Wild how busy it was, but also great. The line to get any baked goods or drinks was so long it was almost at where you entered from the road. They have a cute shop to purchase their products and local area items. The staff we interacted with were nice. Cute space with scattered picnic tables, some lawn games, and a few tented areas for vendors. I think if we came back to this one we would want to be there right when they opened. Nice place though and worth checking out. Oh and yes they have porta potty restroom options. read more

A fun spot to get treats and flights of non-alcoholic beverages. Plenty of open space to hangout and lots of parking! They do get busy, so be prepared to stand in line to order. The staff was efficient in taking orders. The lemonade flight was good but some were overly sweet. The caramel apple pie was delicious and my favorite thing I had here! I'd definitely come back to try the coffee flight and get more pie. read more

A must visit spot at Apple Hill! The setting is so spacious with plenty of picnic tables great for families to hang out and enjoy the outdoors. They even have bean bag toss and connect four for every one to play. This was our first stop on our Apple ranch list for its famous coffee tasting perfect way to start our day. We ordered grandpa's classic cold brew coffee flight flavors for September was smores, caramel, birthday and mocha coffee was definitely strong and presentation was just so cute and appetizing! We paired it with their Apple pie with vanilla ice cream, it was delicious though I wish the pie had been served warm. The lemonade flight was also gorgeous with the varieties of Apple cider, spicy peach, blueberry coconut and watermelon mint I enjoyed the presentation but there's not really distinct lemonade flavor to each. Each flight was $15, which was worth it since three of us were able to share. Although they were busy the service was fast. There was a Taco Truck when we went so we also ordered breakfast burritos and tacos! It was a nice savory balance to all the sweets. This place was such a treat and we're already planning on coming back! read more
Grandpa's Cellar is a small, but fun apple farm located in Apple Hill. I was intrigued to try this place by their picturesque flight drinks, which included coffee flight, apple cider flight, and hot chocolate flight. The October 2024 coffee flight offered white mocha, ube, cinnamon, and vanilla black cold brew. The "Hocus Pocus" hot chocolate flight ($15) offered pumpkin, caramel, classic chocolate, and ube. The "Grandpa's Classic" (apple) flight contained s'mores, caramel, mocha, and black apple pie spice. We ordered the "Hocus Pocus" hot chocolate flight and an apple turnover. The caramel chocolate was really sweet, but they were all pretty good. The hot chocolates were water based, not milk based. Each mini flight cup was topped with whipped cream, drizzle, and topped with a quote from "Hocus Pocus." The apple turnover ($5.50) was warm, crispy, flaky, and really good! We went on a weekend in October and the lines were extremely long and there were no parking spaces. The place was crowded and it was hard to get an open table. Grandpa's Cellar had some nice picturesque spots for fall photos. Although it's not as busy as some of the other apple farms, we had a nice time and enjoyed our flight, food, and photos. read more

I first found this place on social media, and I completely fell in love with the aesthetic and concept of drink flights (especially for coffee!!) The line was a bit long when I went (I went on a Saturday), so be prepared for that. Overall, I think the drink flights are a cool idea but it's definitely something I'd do once. I felt like the drink flights were a bit pricey, and didn't have much flavor. read more
Hot Chocolate Flight [Apple Hill|Camino CA] My family and I drove up to Apple Hill this past weekend. Grandpa's Cellar is a seasonal business open only from Labor Day Weekend to December. On weekends they opened at 9:00a. We arrived at 8:30a and whoa, wow, a line has already formed outside... the small front parking lot has filled up quickly so we had to drive towards the back lot for more parking. They specialize in coffee flight tasting (I'm not a coffee drinker) but I was ecstatic when they started offering hot chocolate flights too! The line went fairly quick and at 9:15a we were enjoying our yummy treats: * Halloween Coffee Flight - Ube, Pumpkin White Mocha, Cinnamon Dulce, Vanilla Black Cold Brew (Black Widow) * Grandpa's Classic Coffee Flight - S'more, Caramel, Mocha, Black Apple Pie Spice Cold Brew * Hocus Pocus Hot Chocolate Flight - Pumpkin, Caramel, Classic and Ube * Cookie Monster - cookie dough, Oreo crumble, with blue marshmallow sauce * Traditional apple pie When visiting Apple Hill don't miss this farm with a bakery, gift shop, and a Flight Shack for coffee lovers (hot chocolate for me). I was torn between getting a coffee flight (what every table seemed to be ordering), or a single drink in a flavor I haven't had before like the apple tea or apple cold brew. I went with the apple cold brew instead, and didn't regret it! I skipped the flights because the flavors seemed pretty basic. The apple cold brew was one of the smoothest cold brews I've had, with the option to add your own pump of creamer, located on the table across from the register. The subtle hint of apple is really unique. If you love cold brews I'd definitely recommend this drink. My friends got apple cider flights, which I had a taste of. They were tasty, but way too sweet. Of all the flavors I liked the caramel one the most, and even though the cups are pretty small it was hard to finish because of how sweet it was! We walked around the gift store after, which was so cute and welcoming. It felt like I was inside of a gingerbread house. Full of unique jams/butters/syrups/candy/fudges/candles/stickers/soaps/souvenirs...your typical cute gift shop that's lots of fun to look around! Came here with the fam after seeing so many TikToks about it. And every TikTok was correct! This was amazing! The pricing was not expensive which was surprising and the baked goods were so delicious. You can even take pies and cinnamon rolls home to back on your own. The hot chocolate flights were yummy and was everything we asked for. The only downside would be how busy it is. Finding parking wasn't too bad (we got the last spot at the end) but others after us had to find parking else where. Across the street was closed for a private event so folks needed to find parking. read more

I loveeee this place!!! It's such a fun stop on our way to Tahoe. We got the coffee flight & lemonade flight! They were both so good and I'd recommend both but if I had to pick one I'd probably say the lemonade flight since there's more distinct differences between each flavor just due to it being lemonade. We're just 2 people and 2 flights was more than enough, def shareable. It also looks so cute too!!! read more

Very cute and small farm. I was a little confused because I thought you could pick apples here, but when I got here, it didn't seem like there was a place to pick apples. My husband and I ended up having to go to another farm. However, I saw on IG that this place was well known for their flights. I think it truly is more of just an aesthetic thing. The coffee was just okay. It just looked really cute and aesthetically pleasing. Besides that, they have a lot of shaded seating here which is nice on a warm day. They also have a shop where you can get honey, you fill up your own bottle of honey and take it home! Would recommend trying at least once, but I don't think it would be one of the farms I would be eager to visit as there wasn't much else to do. read more

Your visit to Apple Hill would be incomplete without visiting Grandpa's Cellar! Pro tip: eat breakfast before and plan your fall trip on a weekday to avoid the long lines. My partner and I visited on Monday afternoon, and there was no wait! It's quite peaceful when it's not packed, and we enjoyed hanging out at the picnic tables among the apple trees. We ordered the Grandpa's Classic and Fall Flight, and we'd definitely recommend the Fall Flight. The flavor profile felt more distinct, but you can't go wrong either way! read more
