    Pistachio gelato
    Jenlyn W.

I love there's finally a little cafe here at the legends for sweet treats in the summer. Well decorated with small tables inside and super friendly service. We were in for gelato and the gelato were delicious. My daughter got the classic chocolate while I opted for the pistachio. I'd have to try their macaroons and truffles next time I visit.

Oh my goodness, real French Macarons in Reno. The little shop reminds me of a little cafe in France. The shop is adorable and has an inviting atmosphere. The owner warmly greeted me as I entered the shop. I had a plethora of questions. How many different flavors? She informed me of the number and that they have seasonal ones as well. We talked about the gelato, chocolates, the cakes that could be ordered, and the maker of the chocolates. I learned a lot. The majority of them are gluten-free. I had to try some. I got six flavors: 2 coffee, 1 chocolate, 1 raspberry, 1 pistachio, and 1 hazelnut. The macarons are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is like a meringue married a soft and chewy sweet. The pistachio was the least flavorful. Of course, my favorite was the Coffee. If you like coffee, I highly recommend it. Fresh-made pastries, meringue cookies, gelato, and European chocolates are also available. They have a variety of items you can order too. Be sure to ask about different cakes and pastries. I purchased two meringue cookies, a chocolate au pain, and last but not least, two chocolates. The meringues were a little too sweet for me. But the chocolates were decadent and flavorful. I want to go back and get a coffee with something sweet and just relax.

As I entered into the shop, one other family was there. I was greeted by the owner Carla. She was pleasant and helpful with my questions. I got the assorted meringue which is not made on the premises $4.95. It was just OK, probably not order it again. I did ordered two chocolate pieces $2.50 each, very tasty! Go with the chocolates they're yummy. Also, I ordered one Tiramisu macaron $3 which melted into your mouth and was absolutely to die for. Since I live in the area I definitely go back. It's a little expensive but well worth the treat.

This place is a very cute place to hang out. The ambiance was definitely quite the change, especially coming from the cold rain. Service was amazing the staff helped me well to decide on types of macarons. Thank you! Last but not least, the banana macaron I tried was so good it's worth trying. It's a little on the pricey side, but that's about it. I say give it a try some time!

It's super cute and pretty well stocked shelves. It's a nice little pick me up for after dinner, getting out of a movie, or to impress your date. Love the cassis! Nummy!

The staff was rude and the product was expensive and horrible. I found out with a little research that all of their product comes from a central kitchen in Florida. That's not fresh folks, that's frozen. Just gross.

The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful as this was our 1st tea time. The shop is bright and airy but it was a a bit smaller than I expected. The tea setting was beautifully done but our table was extremely small which made teatime challenging at times. During the teas each person gets their own pot of unlimited tea. We did the Jasmine Glow tea and the Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh. The teas were amazingly delicious! They were so good that we bought some to bring home. The bites were flavorful, just the right size, and complemented each other beautifully. You could taste the love and care that went into each one of the items. They also offer 2 speciality adult beverages each month. The Prosecco float was my favorite! This was a wonderful and delicious experience. We can't wait for next month's tea!

We sat down and ordered the tea we liked. We each got to choose our own tea and was told we could try as many as we want. I liked the pacing; I was able to have a long conversation with my friend without feeling rushed and no interruptions. Everything that came out was delicious. The scone was a little too flaky, in my opinion, but was still very tasty. It didn't look like a lot of food, but we were both very satisfied. I am definitely going to bring my Mom back for this. Also, the mini cakes here (not included in high tea) are absolutely gorgeous. They are not too sweet, and remind me of what I used to get at cafes in Japan. My favorite that I've tried so far is the blueberry cake. I love them all though. Can't wait to try more!

So, check out the menu before a visit to make sure they have what you are looking for. Pros: Yummy appetizers, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls, pho (beef was especially good), and speciality drinks. Other items too I am sure but this is what I have sampled so fat. Con: They really toasted the bread on the Bahn mi, on all times someone at our table has ordered it, it is a struggle to eat, especially for smaller mouths/ those in braces. So ask for it an adjustment- if you need it softer. They are more expensive than other options in the area.

I've also tried the pistachio ricotta cake which was not overly sweet. I've always loved the service here with the clean tables and cute aesthetics and friendly staff. We took five different slices of cake and two almond berry cream cups to some friends house for after dinner. They were not impressed. And we tried a bit of each one. I thought the almond cup with fruit had Bavarian cream it was just whipping cream of some sort. So that was disappointing. Then the host, the Husband, after asking what he thought he said an impressive. And it seemed like the cakes were a bit dry. The cheesecake with strawberries on top had an interesting texture. They looked pretty, but the taste was uneventful. So I think I will probably stick to some of the other bakeries in town. They do have fresh breads, though if you're looking for a nice roll or something like that. i'm giving three stars due to the lunch we have. As for the desserts it would've been a two star.

I love their sweet and sour chicken, it cannot be beat. We of course get other things every time, but this is the standout dish that we come back for over and over again. Just the right amount of everything. The pricing here is pretty basic Asian fast food pricing. Not as much as a sit down place, but a little bit higher than the super cut rate chinese places around town. A good compromise for price and quality. They also have boba which is a nice little treat to get when you are driving home in traffic. The quick serve side of the restaurant is nice than most quick serve restaurants but still isn't "date worthy", next door in the Korean BBQ would be a better bet for that. But the space is still nice enough to be a place to feel like you are eating at a restaurant instead of just a quick serve formica joint. If you can't already tell....we will be back .... especially when we need to satisfy that craving for some delicious sweet and sour chicken.

We tried the Jasmine Milk Tea and Black Sugar with honey boba. The Jasmine Milk Tea was too flowery and not sweet enough for my taste. I would not get that again. However, the Black Sugar was perfect! Usually, the Black Sugar is overly sweet at other shops, but the amount of sweetness is perfect here. These were both made and delivered to us in a timely fashion. The interior design and decoration is the same as the KBBQ next door. I think the place can definitely use a remodeling to be more modern. Lastly, their menu has a selection of their signature drinks you can order from. However, you also have the option to make your own by choosing a flavor, the amount of sweetness, and any toppings. The sweetness of the drinks are usually at 25%, so I would recommend going 50% or 75% sweetness to match the normal sweetness range of other boba shops.

That said I do want to share one honest observation. On top of premium pricing -- which I'm happy to pay for quality -- Perenn also charges subscribers for their Substack newsletter. For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling -- that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely -- you've clearly earned the audience.

As of April 2026, the political party demographics in Nevada are approximately 27.2% Democratic, 26.8% Republican and 39.4% Nonpartisan/Independent. In Washoe County, Nevada, registered Democrats made up about 35% of voters, Republicans about 32%, and independents/other about 33%. I rate 'em 2 stars for the Republican politics shared by an owner which ruined it all for me. I then added another review star for their having a Military / Veterans Discount. Their having a Military / Veterans Discount was why we were there as we only support businesses that support we Veterans with a Veterans Discount.
