It wasn't my first time here. And sat inside, which was nice area. This time I had the lettuce-wrapped chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts. The dish came deconstructed and the chicken was ground; which I didn't expect. personally, I would have enjoyed it more if it was wrapped. I've been here a handful of times for happy hour with colleagues. The definitely have a good happy hour menu for food and drinks. It's been a while since I've stopped by for a meal. We came late after a movie. Despite it being close to closing, the staff were friendly and did not rush us at all. Since it was my husbands first time, we got complimentary chips which were delicious! Over all, food wise, it was a little underwhelming. I ordered the chicken pot pie which I feel needed more seasoning and salt. The crust was flaky ad delicious though. The salad my husband ordered was over dressed but not bad. The food was amazing, we had the deviled eggs, sushi rice rolls and I personally had the ribeye burger which genuinely was the best burger I have ever tasted in my life. The meat was cooked to perfection, not too tough but not too chewy. The sauce was to die for and elevated the experience to a truly celestial level. And the burger all around was just the best I've had in my 23 years of life, truly amazing. Our two servers, Tatiana and Richard were so sweet and polite and I couldn't have asked for a more personable experience. Really love the atmosphere here. The service was great and the food came out fresh and yummy. My husband had the shrimp tacos and he loved them. I had the Shawarma chicken salad, which is new on the menu, and I really loved it. It was delicious. It was a little pricey for what we got and we would have probably enjoyed an appetizer to fill us up. First visit here and second to lazy dog. Started with cheese curds and a Thai salad as an appetizer. Both very good. For main course I bought my child a crispy chicken wings and they served us some kung pao wings. Really didn't know if they didn't bring the correct order out. The crispy wings are plain with sauce on side. Not bad but no wipes for after eating. My dish was chicken Parmesan. The chicken and pasta were good but I thought the sauce was bland. Not a fan. We were meeting a friend driving through town. Given he had his dog with him, he wanted to meet up at a dog-friendly restaurant. We hadn't heard about Lazy Dog prior to him suggesting it, and we're glad he did! Dogs are welcome out on their patio. They have umbrellas for shade if needed. They bring water bowls for dogs and even have two food options for your four legged friends. Their drinks were great and had lots of options. I went with the Huckleberry Mule with a refreshing taste that wasn't overwhelming with a sweet flavor. My husband went with a Tequila Old Fashioned and that was amazing too! Those bartenders know what they are doing! For our meal, we started with the Mexican Street Corn Tots - something we'd highly recommend! I had my eye on the Slow-Cooked Poblano Pork. Wow, what great flavor! Each bite had a different flavor burst given the variety of the ingredients in the dish. My husband enjoyed the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap as evidenced by the empty dish when he was done. We'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings. read more

I came in for happy hour and sat at the bar. This was the first time I had been here (or in any Lazy D for that matter). A friendly bartender quickly acknowledged me and promptly brought out the drink I requested. There were only two other patrons sitting at the bar. They have a very good and very reasonably priced happy hour menu for both drinks and food. I ended up ordering a Chicken Quesadilla that was grilled with cheese on the outside of the tortilla. Very unusual but very good. The portion size was generous and it came with sour cream, salsa and guacamole. At only $8 it was a steal! With that and three cocktails my tab was only $30! Ordered the steak well done. This really fails on two levels, the culinary and execution which encompasses the kitchen and the server. If the server had us cut into the steaks and barely saw they were not what we requested, and fixed the issue, this post would not exist. I never complain as I've never ever experienced any true change in restaurant behavior by bringing up these issues verbally. I used to love Lazy Dogs unique menu because the kitchen nailed the flavors and the waiters provided good HAPPY customer service. Now after 3 visits in the past 6 months or so the quality and customer service have been constantly lacking and made it to the point where we're gonna avoid for the foreseeable future. Menu items taste bland and for the money you're paying you expect better. Servers not giving their names, scowling the whole time, head down in their handheld POS system, and not checking in with the table until food is ready or it's time to deliver the check. This is a great place to grab a late night dinner! Love the camp-themed vibes of the restaurant, their extensive beverage list, and creative dishes. I stopped by for a late date night meal and left very happy with the experience! Our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed during the meal. We started with the cheese curds with nashville hot ranch (amazing). The portion was a bit smaller than expected, but still really good. I got my to-go here, which is spaghetti and beetballs. My non-vegetarian boyfriend loved it - this dish is so complex, creative, and really nutritionally dense. It's also just delicious! He ordered the kung pao bowl with tofu - it was alright! Overall, I'm a big fan. The booths are spacious, and so many items on the menu are a hit. As a side note, they have the best bang-for-your-buck lunch special I've seen in DFW, so I would recommend that as well! First time being at Lazy Dog. I had some expectations since we were greeted nicely by the host and my boyfriend has been there twice before. We were seated and ordered an appetizer, but it wasn't that great in my opinion. It was just missing some seasoning (we got the crispy deviled eggs). We then ordered our meals and paid the check without leaving a tip on the card because we planned to leave a cash tip later. We do this occasionally at other places, and this time we were still sitting at the table enjoying the basketball game, so we hadn't left yet. The server came over, checked the receipt, and immediately asked if something was wrong because we tipped zero. My boyfriend said no, but the server then made a scene, saying he could get the manager if there was an issue. It felt very uncomfortable and embarrassing. We ended up leaving while he kept scolding us. Again, we fully intended to leave a cash tip after the game ended. No customer should be treated like that. 1 star. read more

My husband and I had the most amazing experience here! The atmosphere was very casual and they have so much to offer! Their cheese curds are fantastic they have the best cocktails, in fact they make almost everything from their whiskey for the old fashioned to their own sauces and so much more. I recently joined the Lazy Dog eClub and instantly received a promotional offer for their frozen Tv dinners: Buy 5 Get One Free! It was pretty cool to see this concept in motion. For me, it instantly brought back childhood memories from the 1970s, lol. Who else remembers eating those Swanson TV dinners? The timing of this promotion was perfect; I needed a few dinner options for my husband while I recovered from surgery. I was impressed that the food was made in-house, frozen, and ready to bake. The descriptions of the Chicken Pot Pie, Lemon Chicken, and Roasted Turkey dinners were classic dinners I was willing to try. The promo discounted them to $10.00 each, and I was able to schedule a curbside pickup. Nice! Tonight, we cooked the chicken pot pie. I loved it, but my family did not. They said they preferred the frozen pot pie from Marie Callender's. The Lazy Dog chicken pot pie is not to be compared to that. I enjoyed this version because it had a light crust top (no bottom crust meant less carbs), the sauce was highly seasoned, and it was lightly filled with shredded chicken and vegetables. I was thrown off by its size, I think one pot pie is considered one serving, but for us, it was enough for two people. As much as dining out cost these days,I don't want to break the bank either. So,thought I'd give lazy dog a try. No complaints but,not overly excited about the place either. Nice design equals comfortable. Broad selection of choices large and small on the menu. Out of character I had the salmon and sauteed vegetables. It was good and I'd order it again. We also tried the Thai chicken salad which was good. All in all I like the place and will occasionally go back but, honestly something is not quite right for regular meals there. I'll start with the food- 4.5 stars on food. I've never been disappointed by my choices at this location. Plenty of variety, always seasoned to express flavor but not overpower, the menu allows you to explore new foods while finding comfort in what you already know. The starters all have great nods to home style but inventive at the same time. Don't skip the desserts either! The tart is absolutely mouthwatering and perfectly baked and the s'mores brownie is the overindulgence your sweet tooth is craving. This review gets 2 stars for the service. I've been to this location many a times and the service always seems to struggle. There is one exception: the bar. If you sit at the bar, you're completely safe. The bar tenders will get to know you, give tips on menu items (and on local fun), and make you feel at home. Outside of that, the wait staff lack attention or true care of patrons, in my experience. I live close by and will order Lazy Dog to-go somewhat often. Stick to that strategy or sit at the bar and you're in for a great experience. read more

Tried the PB&J burger for the first time and oh man it did not disappoint! My son had the Bison burger and he said it's the best burger he's ever had. Ingredients are always fresh and fries crispy. Rheir dipping sauces are incredible too. I also enjoyed the cucumber thyme Lemonade. It is a little tart but refreshing.
