Food was flavorful, service was great and we love a dog friendly patio! We will bring ours next time.

The environment at 10/10, service is 8/10 and food is 8/10. We enjoyed some burgers on our recent visit, the Baja and BBQ bacon. Both were good however the drizzle of bbq sauce on my burger wasn't enough. Our burgers were a little warm but our fries were cold. We had to ask for new ones. Overall 8/10

Great spot if you're looking for patio seating that's dog-friendly. The menu has plenty of options, the drinks are excellent, and the service is consistently attentive. They're also very accommodating with customizations, making it easy to get exactly what you're in the mood for.

First visit here and second to lazy dog. Started with cheese curds and a Thai salad as an appetizer. Both very good. For main course I bought my child a crispy chicken wings and they served us some kung pao wings. Really didn't know if they didn't bring the correct order out. The crispy wings are plain with sauce on side. Not bad but no wipes for after eating. My dish was chicken Parmesan. The chicken and pasta were good but I thought the sauce was bland. Not a fan. Overall I'd try the place.

We were meeting a friend driving through town. Given he had his dog with him, he wanted to meet up at a dog-friendly restaurant. We hadn't heard about Lazy Dog prior to him suggesting it, and we're glad he did! Dogs are welcome out on their patio. They have umbrellas for shade if needed. They bring water bowls for dogs and even have two food options for your four legged friends. Their drinks were great and had lots of options. I went with the Huckleberry Mule with a refreshing taste that wasn't overwhelming with a sweet flavor. My husband went with a Tequila Old Fashioned and that was amazing too! Those bartenders know what they are doing! For our meal, we started with the Mexican Street Corn Tots - something we'd highly recommend! I had my eye on the Slow-Cooked Poblano Pork. Wow, what great flavor! Each bite had a different flavor burst given the variety of the ingredients in the dish. My husband enjoyed the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap as evidenced by the empty dish when he was done. We'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.

Here is the final piece of my "Well Done" steak.

Ordered the steak well done. This really fails on two levels, the culinary and execution which encompasses the kitchen and the server. If the server had us cut into the steaks and barely saw they were not what we requested, and fixed the issue, this post would not exist. I never complain as I've never ever experienced any true change in restaurant behavior by bringing up these issues verbally. Posting a review for everyone to see, has been the best way to enact the necessary change to correct the shortcomings of the establishment.

I used to love Lazy Dogs unique menu because the kitchen nailed the flavors and the waiters provided good HAPPY customer service. Now after 3 visits in the past 6 months or so the quality and customer service have been constantly lacking and made it to the point where we're gonna avoid for the foreseeable future. Menu items taste bland and for the money you're paying you expect better. Servers not giving their names, scowling the whole time, head down in their handheld POS system, and not checking in with the table until food is ready or it's time to deliver the check. Side note: Marketing/Management needs to do better. Breakfast with Santa said free kids menu item, then when asking the server they state, management said it's for pancakes only?

Tom and Sarah run a solid operation, they care about the place, the people, and the experience. Food was on point, cooked right, flavors dialed in. Drinks were fast and to perfection! Big shout-out to Emily, the bar manager. She runs the bar like a pro, attentive, sharp, and keeps things moving when it's busy. Matt the GM stepped up immediately to correct issues, no hesitation. Good vibes, good service, good food. Great job, team. We'll be back. You should come with us. #theforkingtruth #lazydogallentx #theseareREALbartenders #welovetaylor

Ask the Community - Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

Does the restaurant still offer a dog menu for the dogs to eat?

Yes! A grilled chicken breast or burger patty over your choice of white or brown rice with some peas and carrots.

Do they have any gluten free options?

Its not exactly totally gluten- free. They have gluten free options but the dishes aren't prepared in a gluten -free facility so there may be cross contamination.

Do they serve the Impossible Burger?

No they don't, just a black bean veggie burger

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.

So, we thought - why not, it's close- let's go and see if we like it better this time. Let's start with the positives. We arrived shortly after 5pm and the place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and immediately took our drink orders. She was attentive and service was fast. No complaints with her service at all. It seemed pretty chill and low key. A few people trickled in but nothing crazy for a Saturday night. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. The color of the pretzel had me fooled. It was pretty dark in color which usually indicates overdone and hard so when it was amazingly soft inside - wow! So good! We loved the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it. My husband and son ordered a burger and said they were tasty, my other son ordered the chicken strips and said they were good. Negative for the meal, I ordered the blackened cod tacos and subbed the chips and salsa for the Gilroy Garlic Fries. I was very excited for the garlic fries since we are originally from that area and are very knowledgeable about the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival and all things Garlic. Here's where this dish wasn't exciting - the tacos were pretty bland. I took the coleslaw from my son's chicken tenders to try and add more flavor and make the taco more palatable. I only ate 1 of the 2 because there really was just zero flavor. The fries were probably an even greater disappointment. In the center, was a very small amount of cheese and maybe garlic? It had virtually zero garlic taste - I was searching for it. It was a sad version of garlic fries. I would not order that again unless they were improved upon. I went back and forth on 3 stars versus 4 stars because while service was great and fast, I can't confidently say I'd recommend it to someone. I may say it's a great place to chill for a beer and an appetizer but definitely NOT a meal. I think if your expectations are to stick with the appetizer list then you're probably going to like it. They have a large beer selection and plenty of screens for your favorite games.

I ordered a breast and wing and fries (picture attached). I guess I must have hit the wrong thing in error, because I had 2 wings when I got home. I ate the breast that night and planned to eat the wings on Sunday evening. My sons got chicken wings with fries (no pictures). They said they were OK. My breast and fries were good = lots of fries which is great! We decided to go back on Sunday, 5/17 and just get wings to go with some fried rice my husband brought back from a trip to St. Louis, MO. Things didn't go the way we hoped! The kiosk is not designed to indicate multiple sauces/seasoning (I actually would prefer to deal with a "live" person quite honestly). Therefore, we discussed with the cashier that we wanted 1/2 Chicago Mild Sauce and 1/2 Lemon Pepper Seasoning. What we got is the picture below plus some mini plastic ctrs with lemon pepper seasoning = very disappointing! It appears they don't either know how to cook the chicken wings "in" the seasoning and sauce or choose not to cook the wings "in" the seasoning and sauces - so we won't be back and order that again = will try something else. Overall, the chicken wings just weren't that good = need to cook a little longer for that true crispy texture. But the highlight of the visit was the pound cake. It was DEEEEELICIOUS!!! We will go back to this place and try another restaurant - there are PLENTY!
