Greasy sauce in a bowl. No pasta...
    Courtney S.

The last 3-4 times I have there, they messed something up. We have been customers for years and it is so disappointing to see it go downhill. Tonight, they forgot to make one of my items. They asked me to wait while they made it. No offer of a discount or even a drink or something while I wait. Basic customer service stuff...Then, after getting home with my order, my son discovers his chicken parm is just a piece of chicken in some greasy sauce. No pasta what so ever. I called to tell the girl and she says I can come in tomorrow to get my pasta!?! This was our dinner. They were still 30 min from closing. How does pasta tomorrow help me!?! So, after spending all this money on dinner, I still had to cook. I hope corporate investigates. They are ruining your brand!

While I do love a good Palio's pizza, I do not like the inconsistencies between locations. Some have thick crust, some have thin. The menus are different. Some of the menu items have the same name, but are made different, etc. I really like the Palio's in Mansfield, I have come to find out. It's a little annoying going to a Palio's, having your favorite pizza in mind and then it's not on the menu. My favorite pizza is their fajita chicken pizza. This location does not have it. Today we ordered the Jalapeño popper (which is the pizza of the month) and the Scorcher. The pizza at this location has more of a thin, crunchy crust. The jalapeño popper had 4 cheeses bacon and of course jalapeños! It was pretty good, lots of flavor and very cheesy. As for the Scorcher, we had it in mansfield and loved it, so we expected it to be the same here. This was not the case. The Mansfield one has different toppings, which obviously makes it taste different. It was my fault for not comparing ingredients, but when they have the same name you assume it's the same thing! It was still good, but wouldn't get it again at this specific location. The bottom line is, if you find a particular Palio's location that you like, stick to only that location. OR check the menu to make sure they have what you want. Palio's is a great pizza place and has lots of variety, but I don't think I will be coming back to this location.

First off, Grapevines Main st. district is jumping. It is what it wants to be... alive and thriving. So this pizza spot has a ton of good reviews. Yes, well deserved. The place is trendy, but casual. We loved the Star Luca with pepperoni. The ricotta stuff in the stars was tasty. We spread it over the pizza and delicious. The crust is thin and tasty made with just a few ingredients and they proof it for 72 hours. The manager, Oliver said they do this so it's easier to digest. Then we had the salad Laura with Burata Stracciatella cheese, fresh cut tomatoes, croutons and fresh sliced parmesan cheese. I sprinkled some balsamic vinegar on top and this is a winner salad. So much that we took 1/2 of it home. Our server, Victoria was great, welcoming and passed our meal service with a great tone. We love Mister 01!!!

I also sampled the desserts: the cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, and tiramisu. Honestly, all three were delicious, but the Oreo cheesecake was probably my favorite. Super creamy and rich without being overly sweet. The tiramisu was light and flavorful too. Definitely a great spot for pizza night + dessert. Although we had a great experience with the food, I will say that the ambiance in the restaurant was more casual than I remembered it. Definitely more casual than comparable upscale pizza places, while the prices were still upscale. But the service was pretty good, so honestly can't complain.

Our waitress was also very quick friendly and helped us understand the different cheese options on some of the pizzas. Another server also ran out after a group of older ladies, to return a hat to one of them that they had dropped on their way out. That was sweet and added some wholesome vibes for the experience. The crust on some parts of it was slightly too crispy for me, but I would return and just ask them for it to be less toasty Leftovers are about to be bomb

We also shared Wagyu beef empanadas and Spinach & artichoke dip. The appetizers were okay, the spinach dip wasn't what I thought it would be. It was heavy on the spinach, with very little cheese. I could hardly taste the artichoke. The drinks were good but the appetizers didn't catch my attention. The happy hour prices are reasonable, which makes it for a great night out with friends or just coming right after work. The HH drinks and bar service would bring me back.
