The booking process was easy, the staff was friendly and responsive, and all of the follow-up emails and confirmations made everything feel well organized. The location was also fantastic and made it easy to get around during the event. There were only a couple of minor downsides. The biggest one was the lack of air conditioning in the main living area. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom, which helped while sleeping, but it was fairly loud. During the day, the living room stayed quite warm until the evening cooled things off. I ended up leaving the windows and patio door open most of the time for airflow. I also couldn't quite figure out how to properly lock or secure the patio door when it was closed. It may have just been user error, but some simple instructions would have been helpful. One other note, while not really the property's fault. They recommended a shuttle service from the Reno airport. Booking online was easy enough ($95 from RNO), but after receiving my confirmation email I tried calling, texting, and even reaching out via WhatsApp several times with a couple of questions and never received a response. Thankfully, the shuttle did show up (about 10 minutes late), and everything worked out. Other than those few things, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. Having a full kitchen was a nice bonus, and next time I'd probably arrange for a grocery delivery instead of eating out for every meal. It would save a fair bit of money, especially if you're staying for a conference or event.

We did have issues accessing the room since we were staying with a friend. She said she put us on the reservation but they were asking for her email and reservation number which we didn't have so we did have to wait until 5:00 when she arrived to access the room. We recommended to the front desk to offer at least access the pool. I do feel this should have been offered to off set the issue without us having to recommend it. When we did finally access the room which she had gotten a 2 bedroom penthouse it appeared to be a beautiful room with a very nice view. When we went upstairs to access the bedrooms one of the rooms appeared not to be clean. The bed sheets had a black mark on edge of the sheets. When I went to take a shower later in the evening the floor was sticky. Upon looking closer there was liquid all over the floor which appeared to be either soda or alcohol. At this time in the evening I just wiped it up. We had to call several times for luggage that never arrived. We ended up going to dinner and grabbing it ourselves at the counter. They let us know when we went down to the counter they were busy when we checked in. If this was the situation they should have let us know instead of us having us wait for a long time. We ended up having to leave for dinner. It's the little things that could really improve the resort. It just seems like the staff we encountered during our stay was lacking customer service and training. I don't say this lightly because I do feel little things can happen but it was a common issue during our overnight. If someone is staying in a 1300.00 a night room I do believe a certain level of service should be expected. Maybe they were short staffed since it was a Sunday or had new staff during the summer season. The other issue we encounter was when accessing the locker room while it's open until 8:00 pm it would have been good for the staff to say they will lock their doors early at 6:00 pm and we will have to enter through the gym. My heart sank when we tried to enter through the spa and it was locked. We had to look around to figure out how to enter the locker room through the gym to access our items in the lockers. Again it's the little things that affect the overall stay.

Very quiet and scenic. First stop from Palisades you can get out and ski down. I wanted to go to the Alpine part of this resort so I kept on going. It seemed a bit more relaxed. Not saying it was because I think it'll be silly busy over the MLK weekend. Pretty convenient to go from one resort to the next without hopping in to a car. Will def. try this place out more just because access is easier. Only problem so far is that my locker (ahem, car...@ the former Squaw side) that had my lunch in it was kinda far. The gondola ride takes ~16 min supposedly. Didn't time it.

Adrian and Julio in the dining area were so friendly and attentive, helping make each meal an enjoyable experience. Your kindness and effort meant so much to our family. The resort itself is breathtaking. The grounds blend naturally with the Tahoe forest, surrounded by beautiful landscaping, garden flowers, and peaceful wooded scenery. The cabin-style buildings fit perfectly into the environment. It truly feels like you're camping in the wilderness--but with all the comforts and charm of a cozy resort. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and inviting. The furniture and décor created a warm, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to feel at home during our stay. The pool area was wonderful for families. There was a great swimming pool, a kiddie pool for the little ones, and a spacious hot tub where everyone could relax and enjoy time together. The staff promised to call when the room was ready, but failed to do so. We ended up being late. The hotel itself is like a bad Monet painting: very pretty from a distance, but uglier the closer you get. The signs of willful neglect are everywhere from poorly flushing toilets, old uncomfortable mattresses, chipped bathroom floors, and non-functioning irons. The only shining moment was that the iron was replaced, but mostly because of our agitation. So, there's that. It combines the disinterested service of a French restaurant with the quality of Chili's on a Sunday afternoon.

We stayed at the PlumpJack Inn in Olympic Valley for a ski trip and booked the one-bedroom suite…read more Just a heads up -- it's essentially two connecting hotel rooms. One side had a king bed, and the other had a pull-out couch with a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms, which was actually a huge win. Ladies... you know how nice it is to have your own bathroom while traveling. He used one, I used the other. Zero sharing. The absolute best part? They are SO dog friendly. They provide bowls and dog beds, and they even give your pup treats. It made traveling with our dog feel easy and welcome. Location-wise, you really can't beat it. It's right across from the Village and the closest lift is the Tram, which is a huge plus when you're clunking around in ski boots. Being that close makes ski mornings (and afternoons) so much easier. We had a mini fridge in the room, and you can rent a microwave for $25 for the stay -- totally worth it for us. The front desk staff was amazing. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They gave great recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and even offered road safety tips when we were heading out. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar on-site that's open Thursday through Monday. We were able to eat there one night and it was delicious. My only complaint? I wish it were open seven days a week! Another great perk for skiers: they'll hold your skis behind the front desk, which is such a convenient touch. We can't wait to come back. Perfect spot for a ski trip -- especially if you're bringing your dog along.
