The booking process was easy, the staff was friendly and responsive, and all of the follow-up emails and confirmations made everything feel well organized. The location was also fantastic and made it easy to get around during the event. There were only a couple of minor downsides. The biggest one was the lack of air conditioning in the main living area. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom, which helped while sleeping, but it was fairly loud. During the day, the living room stayed quite warm until the evening cooled things off. I ended up leaving the windows and patio door open most of the time for airflow. I also couldn't quite figure out how to properly lock or secure the patio door when it was closed. It may have just been user error, but some simple instructions would have been helpful. One other note, while not really the property's fault. They recommended a shuttle service from the Reno airport. Booking online was easy enough ($95 from RNO), but after receiving my confirmation email I tried calling, texting, and even reaching out via WhatsApp several times with a couple of questions and never received a response. Thankfully, the shuttle did show up (about 10 minutes late), and everything worked out. Other than those few things, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. Having a full kitchen was a nice bonus, and next time I'd probably arrange for a grocery delivery instead of eating out for every meal. It would save a fair bit of money, especially if you're staying for a conference or event.

I had no idea this was here and it's been not only a fun history lesson but neat to be so close to the elements, buildings, photos, stories and land where the first western USA Olympics took place. What a great experience. Gondola patrons lovely. Lift just to left of the slopes much busier and end of day skiers can be a bit nasty. We did have issues accessing the room since we were staying with a friend. She said she put us on the reservation but they were asking for her email and reservation number which we didn't have so we did have to wait until 5:00 when she arrived to access the room. We recommended to the front desk to offer at least access the pool. I do feel this should have been offered to off set the issue without us having to recommend it. When we did finally access the room which she had gotten a 2 bedroom penthouse it appeared to be a beautiful room with a very nice view. When we went upstairs to access the bedrooms one of the rooms appeared not to be clean. The bed sheets had a black mark on edge of the sheets. When I went to take a shower later in the evening the floor was sticky. Upon looking closer there was liquid all over the floor which appeared to be either soda or alcohol. At this time in the evening I just wiped it up. We had to call several times for luggage that never arrived. We ended up going to dinner and grabbing it ourselves at the counter. They let us know when we went down to the counter they were busy when we checked in. If this was the situation they should have let us know instead of us having us wait for a long time. We ended up having to leave for dinner. It's the little things that could really improve the resort. It just seems like the staff we encountered during our stay was lacking customer service and training. I don't say this lightly because I do feel little things can happen but it was a common issue during our overnight. If someone is staying in a 1300.00 a night room I do believe a certain level of service should be expected. Maybe they were short staffed since it was a Sunday or had new staff during the summer season. The other issue we encounter was when accessing the locker room while it's open until 8:00 pm it would have been good for the staff to say they will lock their doors early at 6:00 pm and we will have to enter through the gym. My heart sank when we tried to enter through the spa and it was locked. We had to look around to figure out how to enter the locker room through the gym to access our items in the lockers. Again it's the little things that affect the overall stay.

They claim that they have a shuttle that goes back and forth to Palisades. You know, to do things…read morelike ski and such. But the shuttle never comes, or is packed and can't fit everyone, or is off schedule. A nursery school with kids can organize a shuttle to take kids to a park. But a corporate moneysucking giant can't get reliable shuttles organized to facilitate the actual quantity of people that have actually paid money to stay at the hotel. The frustrating part is that it's so easy. When were buses invented? At least 25 years ago! They don't even have to be autonomous driving vehicles; just hire a few extra college kids for $30 / hour using the $1000 / night the resort charges during peak season. Frustrating!

parking is free mid-week, but reservations are required on weekends and some holidays...free…read moreweekend reservations are very limited and requires advanced planning...every tuesday between 12pm and 7pm, free parking reservations becomes available and free parking reservation for 4+ carpool...if nothing is available, you pay $30 for regular parking reservation...it's little confusing and haven't found any free parking available when i needed to go, and i end up just paying the $30 online each time... usually come to the village on weekends for daughter's ski school...drop the kids off at ski school at 8:30am and head to coffeebar to get some coffee...sip and relax...walk around the village and browse the various shops for clothing and gear...at 11:30am, start checking out the various restaurants....there are many options from a simple pretzel dog at euro snack...some tasty mexican at tremigo...rocker, 22 and fireside are probably the 3 sit-down restaurants with a good variety of food for an entire family...all 3 are decent...the worst food options are probably in the lodge...oh! burger and oishi ramen were pretty disappointing...the village doesn't compare to vail or aspen, but it is probably one of the nicer villages in the tahoe area...all the basics are available for parents to eat, rest and browse while they wait to pick up their kids from ski school which ends at 3:30pm...or, the hardcore parents that come every weekend for kid's ski team...

We stayed in a studio which had a full kitchen (including a microwave, electric kettle, dishwasher, and stove), a fireplace, and a pullout couch which slept an additional two people. The wifi comes with the room and was fast enough for me to be able to WFH. The bathroom has a tub and there were plenty of towels. Parking is also included and is in a garage. The check-in process was easy (starts at 4pm) and the front desk was very friendly. When we checked out, the front desk was closed (it was before 9am) but we were able to leave the gratuity envelope at the desk along with the key cards. They do recycle the cards and there's a receptacle indicating such. There is a small "gym" with a treadmill and stationary bike (no weights). There are hot tubs available by reservation. Overall, the location is good as it's right next to Olympic Village and the slopes of Squaw Valley. The decor was wolf-themed as befits the name and it's a cozy, homey stay.

Very quiet and scenic. First stop from Palisades you can get out and ski down. I wanted to go to the Alpine part of this resort so I kept on going. It seemed a bit more relaxed. Not saying it was because I think it'll be silly busy over the MLK weekend. Pretty convenient to go from one resort to the next without hopping in to a car. Will def. try this place out more just because access is easier. Only problem so far is that my locker (ahem, car...@ the former Squaw side) that had my lunch in it was kinda far. The gondola ride takes ~16 min supposedly. Didn't time it.

Some of us stayed in standard two-queen rooms, while others booked two-bedroom suites. It was great that we were all located within the same building and just a short distance from the event space. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views right from the windows. The location is also ideal--close to several Tahoe beaches and a variety of great restaurants. We especially loved how comfortable everything was. The beds were cozy, the pillows were fluffy, and the rooms were very clean. We stayed at the PlumpJack Inn in Olympic Valley for a ski trip and booked the one-bedroom suite…read more Just a heads up -- it's essentially two connecting hotel rooms. One side had a king bed, and the other had a pull-out couch with a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms, which was actually a huge win. Ladies... you know how nice it is to have your own bathroom while traveling. He used one, I used the other. Zero sharing. The absolute best part? They are SO dog friendly. They provide bowls and dog beds, and they even give your pup treats. It made traveling with our dog feel easy and welcome. Location-wise, you really can't beat it. It's right across from the Village and the closest lift is the Tram, which is a huge plus when you're clunking around in ski boots. Being that close makes ski mornings (and afternoons) so much easier. We had a mini fridge in the room, and you can rent a microwave for $25 for the stay -- totally worth it for us. The front desk staff was amazing. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They gave great recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and even offered road safety tips when we were heading out. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar on-site that's open Thursday through Monday. We were able to eat there one night and it was delicious. My only complaint? I wish it were open seven days a week! Another great perk for skiers: they'll hold your skis behind the front desk, which is such a convenient touch. We can't wait to come back. Perfect spot for a ski trip -- especially if you're bringing your dog along.
