Wow, this place is simply amazing. Chill vibes when you enter, great music. The drinks were amazing and the food hit every mark for us. It was suppose to be a quick bite and turned into a dining experience for us. My husband and I enjoyed every bite and sip. Our server was quick and friendly without hovering. Overall best experience in Springfield, Mo so far

    Ahi Tuna Island Bowl

First time visit to try Palm and Paddle. Service was awesome! Never had an empty water glass. We had the coconut shrimp and shrimp scampi apps and they were amazing!! I had the ahi tuna bowl for supper and it was sooo good. Perfectly cooked and loved the items in the bowl with it. Fresh healthy option! Giving 4 stars in atmosphere only because the heater wasn't keeping up. I wore my jacket and my toes were freezing by the end of the meal.

I travel to Springfield for work, and I never know what to eat. When I tell you, hours later I'm still ridiculously full and happy, I am. Unfortunately when I arrived I had to wait a while to get the hostess, then I had to be patient to get a server also, but I tell you, the food is worth it. My eyes jumped around the whole menu for a long time, I could not decide, I wanted to try EVERYTHING. Alas, I found the perfect entree, "Can't decide? Pick 2 entrees and get 2 sides" I did not need this many calories, but I regret NOTHING. I'll start with the coconut shrimp. I have been traumatized by this item in the past, in other situations. These coconut shrimp were perfect. A light batter and just a hint of coconut flavor with the coconut shreds. They were accompanied by the house mango habanero sauce which was also on my grilled chicken. I will spare you the details on how much I loved this sauce and just leave it at, I could have drank the ramekin. My 2 sides were the soup du jour, a savory chicken soup with black beans, corn and a ton of flavor and also the Rasta Pasta, pasta with onions and peppers and very solid, savory flavor. I am in town once a month and this place is not far from the new Element hotel. I plan on coming back!

This new Caribbean inspired restaurant, is the first of its kind in Springfield. In short, this place will finally provide a restaurant option which is different and refreshing. Let's comment on some of the dishes: - Grilled shrimp appetizer: This was a winner of the dish. Shrimp tonight were cooked perfectly. The butter sauce is melded with a chili oil mix of some sort that really works. - Nachos: Cheese sauce needs to be a bit warmer, but plenty of toppings which include black beans, corn, mild jalapeño etc. And the dish (didn't) have too many dry chips - which is a good thing in my book! - Smoked Gouda soup: A tomato based soup with a good amount of Gouda cheese within the soup. Overall, a good soup starter to the meal. - Carne Asada entree: This dish is done very well. Char on the steak but (still) cooked to temp of mid-rare. The mango salsa is a good acid compliment to cut the richer meat taste. - Cuban: They've got the bread coming in from Florida which is the start to a good Cuban sandwich. Has pork and ham on the Cuban. This sandwich can stand to be thicker meat slices in order to prevent being dried out on the cook. - Various sides: Black beans have the right taste but a touch salty tonight; they'll get that dialed in. Roasted corn was pretty good/different side from the norm. Mixed vegetables need a bit less cook and leave some texture. Island rice is a good rice side for a meal. Fries are good and good fry texture, with a softer inside potato taste. The service and pace of meal clicked along at a good pace. The overall feel and ambiance of the place is quite comfortable. Eat Drink Escape ....that's their motto and they deliver on this concept. Get out there and enjoy this new Springfield restaurant!

    Top floor seating

Starting with the drinks. Exquisitely flavored teas as well as many unique alcoholic beverages with a beautiful bar and overall wonderful atmosphere. The service from the first step in was nothing short of spectacular even offering us window seating on the top floor. Our waitress was very caring and patient as it's our first time in. Ordered: Mango Habanero Chicken bowl, paired with a nice rice, avocado, black beans and pickled red onion for my lady and she was very pleased. I enjoyed the fresh sea food special which was, Tilapia with a mango sauce, bowl of vegetables and again the very nice rice. The palate was shocked with the new flavors of this wonderful establishment, I highly recommend for any occasion. But on to the important part, the dessert. What was ordered: Chocolate cake and salted caramelized plantains with vanilla ice cream coming with a caramel drizzle as well.

The P&P Cubano was delicious! The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly, with a great ratio of meat, and the mustard was creamy with just the right amount of tang and sweet. The sweet slaw wasn't my favorite, but that's comparing it to the other fantastic sides. So the bar was set pretty high. The coconut chicken and shrimp are our go-to's and are so good they make it difficult to try anything new. We LOVE the sweet chili orange lime sauce! The pineapple Teriyaki pork loin has a wonderful flame-touched char with a sweet and savory Teriyaki sauce. The key lime pie is easily enough for two. It's rich and indulgent with the perfect amount of lime zing. This is a fantastic restaurant with a wonderful outdoor area. We've eaten here a half dozen times and have yet to sit indoors. Do yourself a favor and give Palm and Paddle a try.

It may be a bit hard to find, but once you do it is worth it! The restaurant is the back building in a new space called The Creek. We sat at the bar on the second floor. The tv above the bar that played Caribbean beach scenes was a nice touch--making it feel like an escape to paradise with my Coconut Martini in hand. The Coconut Shrimp Beach Bites were tender and flavorful--but the Sweet and Sour Slaw with pineapple was my favorite bite. The Caribbean Jerk Tiki Tacos were delicious. They were also topped with the Sweet and Sour Slaw. The jerk seasoning could have been ramped up a bit as they were not spicy at all. Overall, we had a great meal. Alli at the bar was very attentive and personable. Great vibe!

We got the Ahi Tuna bowl and the Spicy Mango sandwich, both entrées were amazing!! This was our first time trying and we loved it!

Food and drinks were absolutely amazing!! We are obsessed with this place. This was our first time coming and we are so impressed! Service was amazing, Shirley took great care of us. We got the mudslide cocktail, the dragonfruit bliss, the hot honey margarita, and the toasted pineapple to sip on while we enjoyed the ahi tuna bowl and the mango habanero chicken sandwich. The only grievance I have is the downstairs area being so open and having quite the echo, especially when it's not super busy. Otherwise, the ambiance is amazing. Margaritaville radio really ties things together! Please try it out!

Amazing place, looks great inside and out. They were very friendly when they sat us and always checked in to make sure our drinks were full and to make sure the food was good. This was a amazing place and the food was the best I've had.

Ranch, ketchup, smoky garlic mayo, chipotle BBQ, chipotle ketchup, truffle mayo, and sriracha mayo just to name a few. I'm a sucker for espresso so I ordered an espresso yourself shake. Espresso, salted caramel, funnel cake, coffee liqueur, frozen vanilla custard. The espresso and salted caramel balance each other out nicely. This shake lives rent free in my head. I will not drag the competition, but Dublin's Pass was the clear winner. I won't use specifics, but you get so much more bang for your buck, purely from a financial aspect. Let me first say, the eggs arrive on a plate with a light breading that adds the perfect balance of crunch yet balanced with the soft egg. All brought to you with a mustard that is the perfect combination of pickled veg and punchy mustard. The meat was cooked perfectly. The combination between the meat, egg and mustard marry one another beautifully to lend to a flavor roller coaster in your mouth. What really sets these Scotch eggs apart is the attention to detail. They taste like they are meant for a flavor rollercoaster. Each element feels intentional. Whether you're a longtime Scotch egg lover or trying one for the first time, this restaurant sets the bar high. Simply put: these are the Scotch eggs other places should be aspiring. Unfortunately, I left disappointed because the food quality just wasn't what I remembered. I had been telling my wife how great the food used to be--almost like gourmet bar food--and was really looking forward to sharing that experience with her. The smash burger no longer tasted like the duck-fat burger I remembered, and the fries definitely didn't seem to be house-made anymore. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday.
