Curiosity finally got me but really I wanted to go to a sandwich shop but they didn't have my order available lol I ordered ahead, and thank goodness, because the line was wrapped. I don't think this location was designed well. The line blocks the side door, and the ordering area inside is pretty small, which made everything feel chaotic. I went straight to the pickup side of the counter and inquired about my order. The food wasn't ready yet and took about another 7 minutes, but I wasn't tripping since they were clearly slammed. I believe the associate's name was Bri, and she was nice with good customer service, which I appreciated. Food-wise, I was slightly disappointed. The tenders were a good size, and everything was cooked well. I ordered two sliders, even though I don't really like bread like that, one hot and one medium. They were marked, but honestly looked the same and tasted the same. Both were very mild, no real heat at all. I think they messed up my order, at least I hope so cause otherwise dubya tee eff, Dave. I added Dave's sauce and honey like the good people of TikTok told me to do lol, but the food was still just okay. I ended up eating most of the second tender by itself, and it didn't have much flavor. At least the chicken wasn't dry. The fries were crisp, and I grabbed some cheese sauce to go with them. I liked all the pickles and was hoping I could use them to cool off the hot sammich, but you see that didn't go as planned! Overall, I'd say try Dave's if you're curious. I'm not opposed to giving it another shot, but I'm in no rush.

I've been waiting forever for a Dave's to appear on this side of the country after visiting the…read morePasadena, California, location three years ago. Finally, a Dave's opened at this location on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Great location, great service with a smile, and the hot chicken was as good as I remembered it in California. Located on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in the same plaza as City Furniture and Dunkin' Donuts, Dave's serves excellent hot chicken tenders with all the various heat levels ranging from no spice/heat to Reaper. For my first trip, I ordered online ahead of time their chicken tenders-and-fries meal with a 10-piece of chicken bites. Each came on white bread with a side of pickles and sauce. For the chicken tenders, I could choose a heat level for each. I went with the medium heat and the very hot heat. For the chicken bites, you could either order them with no spice, medium, or hot, which I chose the latter. For the chicken itself, excellently cooked, well-breaded, and fried to perfection, with a firm coating of seasoning. Based on the heat level, you can choose from no spice (no heat level) all the way up to Reaper, which incorporates Carolina Reaper powder into the seasoning mixture. Each of the bites and tenders I ordered was incredibly delicious and deeply satisfying. Heat-wise, Dave's delivers in spades. The Medium heat selection offers a hint of heat that will leave most people satisfied without being too hot. The Hot heat level was the perfect level of heat and flavor that you could eat all day, in my opinion. The Chicken Bites also reheat well for leftovers, which I used in my omelette the next morning. The Very Hot heat level brings the spice up a notch, where the heat starts to overtake the flavor, but only slightly. For someone like me, it was still delicious even if I was starting to sweat. For most, it may be too much, but they aren't heat eaters either. Next time I go, I'll try the Reaper heat level on one of the tenders to better compare, and see how far this Dave's goes to bring the heat. But the location is excellent. My food was ready when I arrived. The staff behind the counter were friendly and asked if I needed extra sauce, utensils, and more napkins. And with two high-ceilinged dining rooms that allow for those who don't want to sit near the ordering counter to have a little more quiet, it works well. Especially, with the colorful and stylish interior that's very pleasing to the eye, this Dave's is a winner.

The last location, I went to had three dispensers on the counter, facing outward to the lobby. This location has one dispenser, facing the staff behind the counter. As we were waiting, a sign was moved in front of the dispenser, so from the lobby you cannot even see that there's a dispenser in the store. They are too close in proximity to a similar business that will quickly say "my pleasure" to anything for them to be acting as if it is an over accommodation to be provided with something to wipe your hands with. What shall I use, my shirt? We ordered two Dave's #1's - one medium and one hot and a side of macaroni and cheese. The staff, was friendly. The chicken, was just as I remembered overly seasoned, but not flavorful. Something in the chicken seasoning, either cumin or saffron .....something leaves a fine/sandy/ dusty residue/texture during the chewing experience. The macaroni and cheese was reminiscent of "fourth grade 2nd period lunch" per my 13 year-old daughter and overall just as I remembered it's not something that makes me want to come back for more, unless it's for fries. I do suggest you try it if you have not, so you can make your own assessment, but also bring a roll of paper towels.

Even though it was a hot day, we chose to sit outside at one of the shaded high-top tables. We enjoyed a couple of cold beers while taking advantage of their excellent $20 prix fixe lunch special, which was an incredible value. The meal included a starter salad, your choice of entrée, and dessert. We ordered the cheeseburger and the hot chicken sandwich, and both were delicious. Everything arrived fresh, hot, and straight from the kitchen. The portions were generous we were so full that we couldn't even eat our desserts, so we happily took them home to enjoy later. If you're looking for a tasty, reasonably priced lunch in downtown West Palm Beach, Batch is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great value, and a relaxed atmosphere. We're already looking forward to coming back to check out their brunch!

I stopped at this Popeyes after a long work meeting, needing a quick lunch before heading to my…read morenext appointment. You know... fast food. Or at least that's what I thought. I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker, ready to order a Classic Chicken Sandwich and an iced tea. Then I waited. And waited. After a few minutes, I started looking around for hidden cameras. Surely this was some kind of social experiment. I even found myself eyeing the food truck in the adjacent parking lot, wondering if I'd have better luck over there. But I had my heart set on that Popeyes chicken sandwich. About six minutes later, a voice finally greeted me. I ordered the sandwich, an iced tea, and decided to throw in the fried cheese just to see what it was all about. I pulled to the window. Waited. Eventually someone came to the window. Waited some more. Eventually they took my payment. Then I was told to pull around front and wait for my food. A few minutes later, the car that had been behind me in the drive-thru joined me in the waiting area. We exchanged that universal look that says, "So... I guess we live here now." Finally, after what felt like an eternity, someone emerged from the restaurant, handed me my food, and disappeared back inside like a groundhog that had seen its shadow. No straw. No napkins. Just a bag of food and nearly 20 minutes invested in what was supposed to be fast food. To be fair, the Classic Chicken Sandwich was pretty good. Crispy, juicy, and exactly what I was craving. The downside? I'm writing this seven hours later, and I think I can still taste the salt. Two stars. The food saved this from being a one-star review. But it takes a special level of inefficiency to turn a quick drive-thru stop into something that feels long enough to qualify for vacation time.

Last night I wanted some good wings and fries so I decided to make the 20 min drive. Obviously the food was good, I gave them 5 stars, but let me add some extra seasoning (if you know Hooks.. u get it) I got my food. Drove home 20 mins, opened the box and it was still better than 90% of the restaurants out here ! Hot, fresh, crispy, whole chicken wings topped with their signature seasoning. They also have catfish, tilapia, snapper, shrimp, conch balls, and more. Hooks are individually owned franchise restaurants so each location will usually have the same menu but the quality may vary. This location has been consistently good for years. The prices are good too. You can get 6 whole wings and fries for $10. Can't beat that deal anywhere! They have lots of combo options also so you can get fish, wings, shrimp and fries etc. FYI...This location is not in the hood, but it is nearby. But so is the outlet mall, and the Intracoastal. Regardless it is well lit and generally safe. Never known anyone to have a problem there. If you like fried chicken wings, fish, shrimp, and fries. This is the spot. Guaranteed to have you Hooked !
