Feeling bad for Ozzy. After I got all lotioned up the stand up bed didn't work AGAIN. Ozxy tried to fix the stand up and after 5 or so minutes I asked to switch rooms. Redress, and move on. I should have at least got an upgraded bed. That stand up is frequently broken. Jeez, fix it once and for all. And someone needs to sweep the lobby. I went to Palm Beach Tan after reading reviews about them. I have conflicted feelings so far. I printed the Yelp coupon for 4 free tans in their most basic 'silver' level bed. The bed itself, is very dirty. It looks clean at first glance, until you turn the bulbs on .. Then you are welcomed into a bed full of hair .. Lots of hair, clumped fuzzies and disgusting borders. Where the acrylic meets the plastic is absolutely dirty. I tanned two days in a row. There is a bobby pin in the corner of the bed that has been there each day. That makes me question the thoroughness of their sanitizing claim. I tanned for 10 minutes on my first day. I never felt warm while in the bed. Nor did I feel or look as though I received any color. I went for 20 the second day and my results ewe the same. Nada. I know each individual tans differently, but to not feel or see anything is slightly alarming. Their packages are typical. Basic bed packages for around $18-25. Higher levels ranging and going close to $100. Their tanning lotion pricing is also typical. Always overpriced. The employees are friendly, although I agree with some of the other reviews, getting into a bed can be lengthy. They attempt to up sell and unless you tell them your urgency, you will be there a bit. read more

I don't know how this place is still in business, what with the extremely rude and pushy people they have working here. It starts the moment you walk in and doesn't ever stop. Here I am, 4 months after I canceled my membership still getting regular calls about my "account." I had to call my credit card company to have them stop PBT from stealing my money. On the last call I had with the store manager of all people, she actually hung up in my face. Great customer service! Not. They "can't cancel unless its in writing" which you have to do in person. Which is fine, except for when they happen to lose your cancellation and want you to come in and do it all over again. Sorry, not wasting my time on this place anymore. Stay away or you'll regret it for months. I'm off to change my phone number. read more

Update I had my wallet lost, so I had to replace all my cards. I went in to tan and was told that I had not paid for the month and while they would comp me for that session, I needed to make payment immediately and that the charge for non payment would be waived. This was said to myself in front of eight customers. I was embarrassed. The new manager has no people skills. I had been coming there since October of 2013 and the girls had always treated me well. I was forced to explain losing my wallet and being issued new cards which caused the problem. I felt that if I was a valued customer, I would of been pulled aside quietly and asked if there was an issue, not spoken to in a room full of strangers who knew my business. I politely declined my comp tan and then emailed them to cancel. They of course told me I had to do it in writing, so I wrote corporate and did so. Completely unprofessional on the part of the new manager. I will say this, there are employees there that were very easy to work with and I appreciate that, but obviously business tact was lacking with the new manager they brought in. read more

As a first timer, I was extremely nervous. The stigma I believed about being a guy and going to a tanning salon was quickly absolved when I was greeted by Chris. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Manager Kimberly is ignorant to the tanning beds and I got burned on the 2nd session because of her. She basically called me a liar about getting burned and said she can not return any money and will continue with the "contract" for monthly billing after the 2nd billing I can then cancel...don't believe the signs about " no contract" it is all a lie!! I spoke to Rochelle who is the girl who signed me up, who is very sweet but was more concerned about up selling the products than explaining policies and warnings for new users. I had a rash from the products after the first use and they took all the products back however did NOT refund the money even the items that were not opened. they said I signed a document about the products HOWEVER; they never discussed this and I never got a copy of the document either. I gave 2 signatures on an ink pad on the other side of the desk so I never saw the 2nd item I only got a copy of the 1st contract for the tanning itself. The whole place is unprofessional. Sad to make this yelp review.. going from 5 stars to 1 star. Getting rid of Ali was the worst thing that this location could have done - this isn't only my thoughts either, I've spoke with other customers and they think the same. I met the new manager a few weeks ago, she wasn't friendly and didn't smile. I figured it was probably because she was new and she would open up as she got more comfortable. She has yet to smile when I walk in the door and talks like she hates her job. I just got back from a visit at Palm Beach and Rachelle was working ALONE on this VERY BUSY Memorial Day weekend. She was doing a great job getting people back with a smile even though you could tell she was stressed. I wanted to jump in and help her clean beds so she could just focus on signing people in. (If I was to give Rachelle a yelp review it would definitely be 5 stars) I don't understand why they have 2 people working during the week when it is not as busy, and then on weekends (more so, holiday weekend) they only have 1 person working. It is not fair to your employees nor your customers. Update for today 5/28/2018 I have been going to this salon for about a year now so I have made friends with the people who have been working there so today I was visibly joking around with Nolan while he was cleaning one bed saying " hurry up (while laughing)" because the bed I was waiting for had to be cleaned and the manager shhhh'ed me. read more

The spray booth is broken again. I was told to go to the store at the crossings or the McKinnley salon. Very frustrated ! Traffic is too bad to go to another salon. Also. Closing at 7pm isn't convenient considering I must go to a salon that's out of the way. read more

This has to be one of the nicest tanning places I've ever been to. The beds are so nice and the girls are extremely kind to everyone who walks in. I've been to plenty of palm beach tans through out the last couple years and this one has always been my favorite. Whether it's to get a new lotion or to get more knowledge on the beds- the staff is always so knowledgeable and are able to recommend the right things for me! I love the environment here, it is always really clean and the vibe in here is so great! STAY AWAY!!! This place is horrible, by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was going on vacation and I wanted a base tan before I left, I signed up for a monthly membership, which has a two month minimum and a $20 sign up fee, which is very misleading from what is advertised. After my second month was finished I called to cancel the membership, I was then informed I could not cancel over the phone and that I had missed the online cancellation date and I would be charged for the following month. I asked to speak with a manager and that I was not informed of such a rule, Kim the manager said it was in the contract I signed and that she had gone over it when I signed up. I told her that was not the case and that I never received a copy of my contract to be able to read it over and I needed to speak with someone else. She got very rude at this point and told me it didn't matter who I spoke with, I had signed the contract and I would be charged. I asked again to speak with a higher up and again she said there was nothing else to discuss and hung the phone up on me. Palm Beach do yourself a favor a GET RID OF KIM! Been a member for about a week now in Chino Hills. Very nice high quality beds. The spray tan that comes with the Diamond package is less than desirable and pretty much forces you to spend more money for one of the higher quality ones. I turned very orange. However, I am pleased with staff CS so far and the tanning beds. It costs a lot but you get what you pay for. I think they are a little over priced still, but there aren't many tanning options around me. read more

One star is too generous! What a rip off!!!! I froze my diamond membership that used to cost over $90 a month and have paid a frozen membership fee of $5.25 for years! I went in to get a spray tan and the girl is trying to sell me packages. I prefer the spray... the tells me the highest package with unlimited sprays is $69. Ok I'll take that one. Then she says oh you already have frozen the $90 package.... I said but isn't that the same as the $69 package??? She says yes it is. So I tell her I'd prefer the less expensive one (????) then she tells me that I have to pay $60 to UNFREEZE MY MEMBERSHIP TO BUY THE NEW MEMBERSHIP!!!!! ??????? I said, I'd like to cancel my membership. Then she tells me I'll be charged the next month and is ready to sign me up for the new one!!!! Again ?????!!!!!!! I said no I'd like to cancel everything altogether. She says Oh... and gives me a slip of paper saying my membership is cancelled effective today. Sounds really freaking corrupt to me. My favorite PBT salon in southern California! I will not go anywhere else. I absolutely LOVE the staff here. Always friendly, helpful and accommodating. The salon is tidy, comfortable and always seems to be running smoothly. The employees never skip a beat in customer service! I got my very first spray tan here before a trip to Cancun. The employees helped me tremendously, especially considering I didn't even know which color I'd be. They matched me with the most gorgeous, golden spray tan and I felt amazing and bronzed the whole trip long AND when I got back. The manager, Ali, is an absolute doll. Sweetest young woman I've interacted with at a Palm Beach Tan. She has instilled this genuine kindness in her staff as well, as they all are extremely pleasant and patient. This place should really hire individuals who know what they are talking about when it comes to tanning. Hiring individuals who can at least "act" professional would be a plus, also. Granted, it is a tanning salon, however, they portray themselves as being "above the rest", then they should act like it. Memberships are actually reasonably priced, but lotions are quite expensive, and as much as they say you aren't guarenteed your products online, amazon has perfectly reputable sellers for the same exact product. Apparently it's the "skin care" you're paying for... Again, it's tanning, but I think skin care goes out the window when you walk into a tanning salon. read more

Can't say enough wonderful things about this location and the phenomenal staff they hire. I LOVE how knowledgeable Kimberly is and how tan I get by spray tanning and bed tanning a "tanning cocktail". I read some of the recent reviews and it's very sad that grown woman have to bash a great local business and these young girls that are strong independent girls from our town of Corona. I recently went into this PBT location as a walk-in client and was charged $18.00 and then and additional $33.94 in two separate transactions. The price seemed much higher than usual (granted I haven't been gotten a spray tan in about 2 years or so), but I unarguably paid the fee because I was in a serious hurry. The two girls that helped me at this location were also contradicting each other's instructions on how to use the Mystic Spray Tan machine, which made me very nervous as a rare-tanner who has previously had a serious seizure in a mystic tanning booth due to lack of instruction. Sad to say this was a very poor experience and I will not be returning! read more
