I use to love coming here because of the convenience and reasonable costs. Unfortunately I will most likely not be coming back. I was due a complimentary spray tan because the last time I came the machine was broken (2nd time this has happened). The new employee needed to contact her manager and the manager said the machine was not broken when I came two weeks ago and it was going to cost $50+ for a spray tan today (I have never paid that before) Not a good experience. read more

Horrible experience! I went in to try a spray tan and the girl told me if I buy 3 it is a better deal. I used the first one and was waiting for closer to summer to use the other 2. I went in last weekend and was told they expired! WHAT?? I was never told anything about them expiring. If I had known that, I would have only bought 1. I do not make a lot and this was something I was treating myself to and ended up paying $85.45 for ONE spray tan. Super frustrating and hope nobody else makes the same mistake. They did not give me a receipt or anything stating an expiration date....nothing. read more

Terrible experience with the girl working this day named Kelsie who for some reason tried sticking me in the lowest bed they have while I pay for the next level only to attempt to sell me on the fact they are the same thing. I left confused why I even pay for the next tier as she has her mask off while she's with a customer at the counter. Likely to cancel or lower my plans level read more

So, this place has now reorganized from Pacific Beach and become Palm Beach tan. They raised prices and eliminated packages. Now using their high level beds costs around $100 a month. Right down the street you can join Planet Fitness where a black card membership gives you unlimited tanning and costs only $20 a month. And get this - the beds are state of the art. WAY better than Palm Beach. Oh, and there's a gym there that you can use too. read more

I've been tanning at Palm Beach Tanning and I have to say some of the staff is not very friendly or knowledgeable. I was told I could quit anytime, I just needed to come in "in person" and cancel my program. I could also "freeze" my account if I needed to stop using the service temporarily. There was no mention of a charge for freezing the account. The billing is added to your account on the 1st of the month. I went in on 3/31 to cancel and was told I would be charged for April because I needed to cancel before the 25th of the month. I called the main office and spoke with Rebecca and she told me it was too late to stop the charge. I asked if it could be reversed and I was told the form I signed said I had to notify them before the 25th of the month. She said she would email me a copy. I gave her my email info and I still don't have the form. I don't remember signing under Palm Beach or getting a copy so I'm looking forward to seeing it. I will call her again and see if I can get it. After much conversation, Rebecca said she would freeze my account and I would only be charged $5. I told her the rep at the salon said it was $7.50. She said that was probably right since not all salons charge the same. So, Rebecca will adjust my account down to $7.50 for the month and I will go in the salon in a few days and cancel it again. In my own crazy mind, I don't see why she can credit a portion of the amount charged but not all. I noticed on the books laying open on the counter there are goals to be met. Each store is encouraged .to make money, Number one goal! I don't know where customer service falls in. Can't wait to be done with this place. read more

This salon is awful. I've seen bugs there in the past. But this particular visit, I went in for a spray tan... and as I am waiting I can hear the room next to me getting a spray- and it was obvious my machine was obsolete... they didn't even have the heater on in the room. And I was never offered the better option when I walked in. Just stuck with the crappy versaspa... the other person in the versapro was still getting sprays as I was leaving- leading me to believe I was taken for my money since I only got sprayed twice... I will be going to Shine from now on.. at least their rooms are consistent. read more

Awful salon this location. I'm finding most staff are not very knowledgeable and the computer system doesn't record credits very well or the staff has to read notes. I don't get it. I've gone to several locations to try out beds and all seem different. Not real happy with Palm Beach. read more

I don't usually comment on Yelp, but I was looking around and reading comments and then I saw these comments. These customers must be totally confused. Maybe they have TanCo on the mind, because what they describe IS NOT Palm Beach Tan. I guess all tanning salons seem the same maybe. I've been going to Palm Beach Tan for 6 months now and I absolutely love it. The girls are always super nice to me, they remember me by name, AND they remember my membership! "You're ready for Room 6!" YES! Signing up was easy and if I should ever decide to cancel, all I have to do is sign a cancellation form...not that I'll ever cancel. This is the darkest I've ever been! The rooms are spotless and it always smells so nice in there. They've even hooked me up with amazing lotions and my skin feels fantastic. Don't be swayed by the negative reviews. I definitely recommend Palm Beach Tan. 5 stars. read more
