This tanning salon has got to have one of the best customer service's I've ever been to. The staff is exceptional with positive attitudes and helping me whenever I any new questions about sale's on new lotions or how a new bed or spray bed is working. The bed's are kept up to date with new bulbs and are maintained when one goes out. The beds are never dirty and are always prepped for me when I go in so I don't have to wait. It's well stocked up with hair tie's, complimentary deodorant and more. Brenna and Cassidy are great, always greeting me by first name and give out any new information about new deals they have going on. I started my month membership to prep for my vacation to Florida. The gentleman that assisted me was able to waive my start up fee just by purchasing something which was great! Also for the first month you get free upgrades to a level 2 bed. For myself I only need this for one month and there's no contract or penalty for cancelling when I no longer need it. If you can get a membership on this special it's great! They offer spray tans as well as traditional tanning beds. There's a great selection of lotions as well. A huge perk is the rooms are already set up for you when you arrive. Your towel and goggles are all laid out neatly and ready to go. I love going here and I'm considering keeping the membership even after my vacation just because the experience is always fantastic. read more

Horrible customer service the girl at the front desk is rude and very petty ... I went there to go for a 20 minute tan in a regular bed she told me I can't because I have not been there in a year I can only go 10m . I already had a dark tan which she agreed but still refuse to let me go longer than 10 minutes unless I bought a package what a rip off . I went in for the 10 minutes of course got no color at all was very disappointed about three weeks later I went to go again same girl was there on her power trip and still refuse to let me go for 20 minutes what a joke avoid this place! read more

My first impression from walking in the door with how clean the salon was. When I walked in the door I was greeted by happy cheerful staff. I gave them my name since I hadn't been there in a while. When I got out of the bed I saw results immediately. Waited a couple days came back and the staff remembered my name. You don't see that often. This is my second summer tanning at PBT. The staff is always great! Cody makes it a point to remember all of the clients names which makes it very personable and pleasant going in to this location. Two of the girls there are ao sweet! Unfortunately I don't know their names but this salon is in a cute shopping center and it's a very nice clean salon. Pricing is online or u can call. All PBT's are pricey but if you ask they have specials a lot. For example one spray tan is about $50 there but they had a special when I went in for buy one get one free spray tans. Their specials are not listed anywhere so u have to go in or call. They usually have deals every Thursday which are posted on Twitter and Facebook. I wish this location was closer to where I lived because the girls there are so nice! The Falls Grove location in Rockville has lot's of not so friendly people but I've never had ANY issues at this Germantown location :) They also sell drinks and TONS of tanning products. read more

I've been a PBT member for years and with the exception of maybe 1 location, they've always been super clean. Although it does get annoying that every time I go in I'm told I have a discount and if I need any products, which the answer is generally no, I also understand that these girls make their $$ off what they sell so you can't really fault them. Some of the girls are great at prioritizing and multi tasking and some aren't so there's times where you have to bring your patience with you. The place is very clean and well maintained.All of the staff are very friendly, they greet you by name and they are all very attractive which is always nice when you walk in and see beautiful faces. They have some amenities which is very helpful like hair ties, hairspray, etc so you don't look a mess when you leave.The tan extender lotions are awesome but I never tried the tan lotion since they are like $80. The only reason I didn't leave five stars is because they still charged my account when I cancelled and I am still disputing this. This also happened to my friend and she warned me so I was a little wary about signing up and sure enough, the same thing happened to me. I think it's very distrustful for a business to operate like that and I am disappointed in that aspect. I would only recommend Palm Beach tan if you have a pre-paid card on file. read more

Best tanning salon in the Germantown area. Very clean (THE most important thing I look for in a tanning salon), staff is friendly, and there's never a wait. Reasonably priced. Non-pushy sales people (I have been to salons where they try to sell you lotion EVERY TIME YOU GO... how much lotion do you really think I could possibly go through in a week?! They don't really do that here, which is nice.) Hours are excellent, much more convenient than others in the area. read more

I told the girl what I was looking for - perhaps a week worth of tanning and some products - I was first told the lotions were 40% off - then we got to talking about a membership - she was working all sorts of figures - "I'll waive this and you can have that lotion for this amount" The next thing I know the bill is $168. Dummy me gives her my credit card - so while I'm getting my first tan - I get to thinking about it - I didn't get a receipt - let alone a detailed receipt! I ask for my receipt to find I did not get 40% off the lotions - "oh but we waived your start up fee" . Then to try to get the bill down I asked them to take off one of the lotions that I did not use - but was told I could only get a store credit or wait 7 days for a refund! Unacceptable! I learned my lesson. I will use this one week and then quit and NEVER return! read more

The tanning experience was like any other tanning salon I have been to but this place is an absolute scam. They charge hidden fees throughout the time you are tanning with them and continue to charge your account even after you have "terminated" it in store. I am the third one of my friends to experience this. Stay away and find another tanning chain if you like keeping your money where it belongs, in your account. read more

Recommending to stay away. Tanning for years. Tanned in their top rated bed and nothing. When I told 1 girl she was rude and said I would have to repay to tan again. I asked to speak with the manager and they gave me a do over the next day. When I arrived I told another girl the bed did not work, and she said nothing was wrong with the bed. After using the same bed this time I noticed some bulbs not working. I told the girl about the bulbs and left. I was not trying to get over on them, but they are rude and should listened to their customers.. read more
