We walked in and were happy to hear they had availability to take us on. We knew we wanted a pedicure and asked what their options were. We decided on the spa pedicure because an hour of pampering sounded really nice. Unfortunately we didn't get a full hour as they close at 7pm (got about 45-50min of treatment). We didn't know the hours when we came in and in hindsight were a little confused why they'd offer the hour long pedicure if they knew it'd go past closing time. The staff were friendly and they have a decent selection of colors. The massage chairs were the best I've ever experienced, and that's saying something as I usually hate all artificial massagers. I wouldn't mind coming back but for $70 (not including tips) I'd hope to get the full hour next time :) read more

At the recommendation of a friend I got my lashes done by Jaden. For a bit more than $200 I spent 3 hours laying on a table. During the application my eyes started to really burn and I woke up to lashes (volume) I didn't like and bloodshot eyes. After two days of my eyes being super red and me being nervous that I might have a problem, I went back to the salon to show them. The front desk was very nice and confirmed that this was a fairly common reaction and thought it might be the gel pad they use under the eye which had a surprising amount of irritants listed in the ingredients. The offered me a free refill ($100 value). I decided to try going back once to see if it was indeed the under eye gel pad. The second time Jaden did my lashes (classic) without the pad and I was extremely pleased with my results. It was indeed the gel pad that must have caused such a severe issue. Unfortunately, when I called back today Jaden refused service saying he cannot do my lashes without using the pad. Odd, since he did it last time, but, OK. I would happily recommend this place without that white gel pad but since they cannot do it without I have to say avoid this place if you are at all sensitive to toxins near your eye or have sensitive eyes. I need to find a photo of how bad my eyes were from that gel pad but here are the ingredients of the pad that caused my severe reaction. My lashes lasted about 10 - 14 days before a refill was needed both times. read more

I was desperate for a pedicure, especially after months of neglect due to Covid. Although I've been having mani/pedis from Timothy's for about 20 years, I felt cautious for this recent service. My concerns were completely relieved by all of the cautions and protections I'm use. Temperature check and hand sanitizer was a must upon arriving. All services require an appointment and only those getting services are allowed inside. My technician was running a few minutes behind. I was able to go in to select my color and then was asked to wait outside until she was ready for me. Plexiglass hung between each station and between the technician and me. Further, only every other station was operating. I was glad to see that Timothy was taking care of his employees and customers. It was a great experience and I look forward to returning. read more

This nail salon is o.k. if you have a manicurist that you go to as a regular customer. Your technician will take care of you. Otherwise, they will be rude, keep you waiting, then rush the job to get you out the door. This is exactly what they did last Friday when I had a gel mani/gel pedi. My regular manicurist was not available so I asked for someone "good" and the guy on the phone assured me it would be someone good at the job. I show up on time; and was kept waiting for 20 minutes because apparently they never did assign me to any particular manicurist. I told the receptionist I have another appointment in an hour and 10 minutes so can't wait much longer. Then I am foisted with 2 technicians doing a gel mani/gel pedi simultaneously. The massage chair is blocked in on 1 side so I have to reach across with my left arm for the manicurist for each layer of polish, and the metal bottoms of the gel curing machines, precariously balanced on the arm of the massage chair, kept popping out. It was stressful and annoying; far from a relaxing treat I had looked forward to. They rushed the job so that at the end, there was still 20 minutes left before my next appointment. I should not have agreed to the simultaneous mani/pedi but they had already set up before explaining to me what they were doing. That is the worst of it: you are paying yet they don't bother to communicate with you about what they are going to do to you. For almost $100, this was a very disappointing sub-par experience. You could do a lot better than Timothy' in this neck of Rockville. They don't treat their customers right. read more

I skimmed over the response by Timothy's salon. The inflated response is very skewed. Let me start by saying it is nearly impossible to embarrass me in any situation. The conversation was business related with another professional in the Montgomery County community. Therefore, you will never be liable for embarrassing me, ever. But you are now admitting that your manager was unprofessional by stating I could have possibly been embarrassed by her aggressive behavior. The fact that you stand behind such horrid behavior because a patron was on the phone makes all of the other reviews seem fake and your interpretation of excellent service quite distorted. You stand behind your manager yelling and possibly embarrassing a customer in ear shot of other customers? Who disturbed them more? Classical music on a low volume or a yelling manager? I never ever told anyone that I would be back at this salon in 2-3 months. Next, the technician never placed a single lash; only tape. For this reason, my phone was on speaker at the lowest volume and was within 20 seconds of ending as I was on hold with classical music playing waiting for a phone number which I told the person to email to me. Neither party was upset so no one was speaking loudly. Now I understand why she never started. She was too busy texting the front desk. I never heard her speak to anyone! I doubt very seriously patrons were bothered by classical music which lasted about 30 seconds. At the end of the day, no one getting a massage needed to know that my lash job was redo/free. The person on the other line did not need to know it was free. No one needed to know how long ago my lashes were initially done and salon was "doing me a favor because no other salon would have doing this". There was no reason for the PSA in the middle of your busy salon by your very loud manager who likely bothered your patrons a whole lot more than I did since I never yelled at the party on the line. Poll the internet and find out how many people would have stayed in a salon with their eyes taped closed after that. Did you get your MBA from a Cracker Jack box? The customer is always right even if the service is free. Especially if you plan to continue that relationship. I admit that I was wrong for being on the phone but the way the situation was handled was outside of professional. That has been my point and reason for the post. I want my $130 because your salon never intended to make good on it's promise. The original job was substandard work. The representative from Navy Federal Credit Union was named Tosheiba. Her supervisor was involved in the call. NFCU cares about their customers which is why she volunteered to call your establishment. She is a real representative and this incident is noted on my account. All of the calls are recorded by credit union. I will definitely never return because now you just called me a liar on the world-wide-web. What do I gain from lying about a bank calling on behalf of a customer? She recommended I call but I declined. She offered to call so I let her. I will consider the $130 a loss. The entire experience on my last visit was third-rate and made me feel uncomfortable to return for any type of service. Your Yelp response was long-winded, irrelevant, and one-sided, and in defense of a sloppy manager that represents your business. I hope potential customers read this before that make a decision to visit this place. I recommend you proof-read and think twice before you post public responses because you sound a bit dull-witted and partial. read more

He remodeled the message rooms and the rooms now are so tiny that the bed has to be placed in diagonal manner to fit in. As you can imagine the therapist had no room to move around. Proper arm pillows, towels etc. whereas I am given a styrofoam block to prop arms on and no towel for my arms on top of gel machine.
