Yeah, tanning is expensive. And tanning lotion!?!? Don't get me started!! If you're looking to spend the least dollars possible, Palm Beach May not be for you, but you will actually BE TAN!! You get what you pay for, and these amazing beds have : red light, A/C, Bluetooth to listen to your music, facial tanners, etc. oh, and did I mention you will get as tan as YOU can be? True story. They do have different levels of quality/price, and with so many different options, you can find the levels you need! They also run promotions a lot & have free upgrades. I drive 20 minutes to my closest PBT, but it's worth it. When I tried the mom & pop places, I never got as tan and it took longer to get whatever color I had. read more

I've had a membership for a couple of years now. I barely use the membership at over $100 per month. I tried to get a tan yesterday and unfortunately they had a hard time starting it and keeping it going for the 10 minutes. I got three minutes of use out of 10 and I was so frustrated. I decided to leave without taking my spray tan. Again I barely use the membership unless I'm going on vacation paying over $170 per month for 2 memberships. They said I would be able to go anytime the next day within 24 hours as they cleared it from the system due to the technical difficulties. When I went in today, they would only give me seven minutes of use. I guess this is a law, but never was explained to me, unfortunately this issue and the previous day fiasco. I decided to cancel my and my son's memberships. I guess they don't need my money that bad to give me the full 10 minutes regardless of rules or not. For the amount of the money they charge they should be bending over backwards, especially considering how much we use the membership. It was free money to them maybe they need to train their young staff on how to take care of a customer. read more

The staff here was wonderful and so nice so that is why I am giving 3 stars. However I got the trial run for 4 free tans and bought $150 worth of lotions, and did not see ANY results. Like skin barely got warm, no color, not even any pink and I am very pale. Was totally considering getting in on a monthly pass because it's so close to my house but it's just not worth the $ when the beds just don't work. Just signed up on couple days ago bought a bunch of product. Tried to return product the lady behind the counter ask me why did I buy the product then. Really? Felt like I was obligated to keep the product. Super upset will never buy product here again. Emailed and reposed to PBT email still no response. Now every time I go to tan I get side eyes and whispers and the girls are extremely rude. I will be canceling my membership as soon as my package date it finished. I went into this location and canceled my membership and the girl that helped me said that I was good to go and that I would not be charged anymore. Couple days later I was charged, and so I called corporate to see why I was charged and they said since I didn't getting any documentation at the store my membership was canceled that they wouldn't be able to refund me. So just a heads up when you cancel make sure you get a copy of this for your records. It would of been nice if they would of done the right thing and actually refunded me the money, especially since the last day I even went in to tan was the end of May and it is now the beginning of September. Also don't give them a debit card to put on file! They will take your money even after cancelling and you will be forced to get a new debit card. read more

I can't believe after being a client for years I was treated so poorly by management! I put my account on hold but they continue to take out 60+ a month and when I finally discovered it they said sorry there was nothing they could do since the person I had worked with no longer working there. They could see I had never been in since the date I had cancelled! Warning: they will steal your $, lie to your face and not make their error right! Went here yesterday 7-18-17 around 6:20pm. Asked about the stand up machine, and the employee behind the counter said someone was already in it, but they were almost done and it should only be a few minutes wait. Sounds good I say, and get in line. Meanwhile more and more customers come in, and more and more people who were tanning leave (I counted around 6). Neither of the employees (one of which was training a 3rd) bothered to clean any of the now unoccupied beds, instead deciding to talk to what must have been their friends who were waiting in line, discussing hanging out after work and the dinner that several of them went to the previous night. While still waiting in line, a female customer entered and immediately began chatting with the employees. After standing at the desk talking for a few minutes, one of the employees says something to her along the lines of "you're going to want to come back here to hear this..." and they disappeared down the hallway. Still no one cleaning any of the beds. After checking my watch and seeing I'd been waiting over 20 minutes for a bed that has a maximum time of 9 min and was told would "be ready in just a few minutes", I understandably get upset and ask one of the employees if she could please check the stand up for me to use, as I'm fairly certain it's open. She comes back and says "oops, there was a mistake and someone else is in it, but I'll get them out and get you in, it should only be a few minutes". That someone else was the girl who breezed past the line and was taken down the hallway earlier. So apparently if you're friends with the employees you get to jump the line whenever you feel like it, regardless of how long others have been waiting, and possibly don't even have to check in? That can be only logical conclusion seeing as how they time you down to the minute before you can tan again every 24 hours, and I'd been in line over 10 minutes before the customer mentioned above even entered the building. After tanning I noticed the employee who cleaned the bed didn't bother to leave a towel. This is incredibly frustrating since it's not the first time I've seen it happen, this is just the first time I've had the line skipping effect me personally. The overall service here has gone down tremendously in the last couple of years, especially when the manager isn't there. Employees too busy socializing/playing on their phones to check people in or clean beds. Anytime there is no line and you check in, the employees say "oh, I need to clean that for you first". What were you doing the whole time there was no one in the lobby or in line? Beds constantly broke or otherwise malfunctioning, broken and/or dim lighting, no mirrors in any of the rooms like at other locations. The only reason I do frequent this location is because its close and convenient, but it looks like I'll be using the Gateway location more often from now on. read more

BEWARE do NOT give them access to bill your credit or debit card monthly, they will continue to charge you even after you cancel, and they will not refund your money. I tried to reason with the employees, manager, and finally the owner and was treated so rude. After being a customer for over 3 years! I had to get a new bank card and my bank had to dispute the charge before they finally refunded my money. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! read more

We cancelled in plenty of time but they conveniently "lost" my husband's cancellation (we went in together to cancel) and continued to charge our credit card! After we went in to complain they refused to give a refund instead offering "free" tanning dollars!! This business cannot be trusted. I think it's kind of ridiculous that you guys keep closing early because of the "weather" when really the roads are not bad. I used to tan when I was younger all the time and I dreaded going into the tanning salon every time because I knew they were going to try to hustle products on me. I came to Palm Beach Tan to buy a spray package and I bought a primer. When I go in there they don't try to get me to buy more stuff which I really like because when I run out I will buy more. We had tanned for over three years and literally spent thousands of dollars on fees upgrades monthly fees and products. The owner has gotten a bit full of herself...she does not see the value of customer service or loyalty. They state that it is not wise to order tanning products online as you don't know what you are getting. Well they have started to carry less products so I ordered prepaid for a product it took 3 weeks to receive and was a watered down product it was like soup. The sales gal confirmed my finding and stated she did not have authority to refund and would talk to owner another 2 weeks went by and she refused to give a refund that was the last straw. I only went here today because my usual place was closed. I walked in for a one time (last time) spray tan, glad I didn't fall for the "monthly plan" BS after my experience. I paid just shy of $50, I paid extra for the dark. After several hours the spray tan didn't develop AT ALL!! I've been regularly doing spray tans and sunless tanners for 25+years. I know what I'm doing, I know the -before you spray tan prep routine. Usually when the products don't develop it's because the product is old. Sometimes it's just bad cheap products. The machine isn't even in how it sprays either and the tanning room was missing many simple creature comforts offered at nicer tanning salons with much cheaper pricing. The "Berrier" cream for your hands and feet is junk. It turned my hands a brownish/orange even though I applied a lot of the cream. My hands are literally the only part of my body to change color! This was a huge disappointment and waste of money. My vacation is in a couple of days and this was a pretty simple service. I'd give it a MINUS 50 read more
