Our women's group, the Palm Springs Sunshine Sisters, have had several events on the restaurant's patio. It's a huge patio with super comfortable seating set up in various different ways. There is also a private large room indoors for private parties. The patio has misters for those famously warm desert days. The food is always delicious and changes from time to time. The servers are attentive to their customers and good at suggesting tasty items to try off of their unique menu. They also have music and a Sunday brunch on the weekends, along with a beautiful new outdoor concert venue to the left of the restaurant. Bring your visiting guests to this destination. A lot of fun memories will be made here. Or make this your new destination when you visit Palm Springs, and the Coachella Valley. This place will blow you away!

They have a huge sparkling pool that somehow stays at the perfect temp and a jacuzzi; perfect for the evenings. All of the staff here were super nice and kind. We loved it so much we even decided to stay an extra night. The room we got was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable for us. The best part is the gigantic and powerful A/C unit. The room stayed nice and cool for us. Totally great. Oooh can't forget the super deep tub as well. I took a bath every day. Loved my time over at Caliente Tropics! Definitely not the fanciest, but great customer service, GREAT POOL, a surprisingly large property and made for the perfect backdrop of our Palm Springs adventure.

It was a nice and spacious room. It was like a little one-bedroom apartment. The living room featured a couch and a really comfy chair. End tables were on either side of the couch with a coffee table in front. A 3-drawer dresser and a desk were on the opposite wall with a TV mounted on the wall. A cabinet next to the bathroom held the safe, coffee maker and mini fridge. The bedroom was quite large also. A king bed with night stands on both sides. A good-sized closet with no doors. A small dresser and a TV mounted on the wall. Both rooms had their own A/C units that were ice cold. The bathroom was dated but had been upgraded. The shower was nice with newer tile. We did, however, have to memorize the sweet spot to position the faucet for maximum hot water. The toilet constantly ran. A single sink with a huge countertop was adjacent to the toilet/shower room. The pool area is where it's at when you're staying at Caliente! A huge pool surrounded by plenty of loungers and tables with umbrellas. A good-sized hot tub too. Steps away is the Reef Bar and Grill with an entry from the pool area. We'd absolutely stay at Caliente Tropics again. In fact, I'm almost certain we will next year, if not sooner.

Gigis restaurant on property is beautiful open air with pretty good food. Pool area with bar is very nice. During this stay the pool bartender wasn't very pleasant and disappeared for most of his shift. It was Friday afternoon and most of the guests wanted to unwind with a drink.

One thing to note: there's no daily housekeeping, so if you want your room tidied up during your stay, you'll need to request it. The food was a real highlight. The baja tacos, buffalo wings, and double-fried french fries were all delicious and the espresso martinis are absolutely worth ordering. Seriously, don't skip them. That said, a couple of things kept this from being a five-star stay. The bathroom had a pretty strong, unpleasant odor.... hard to describe exactly, somewhere between burned hair and sewage which was tough to ignore. On top of that, the hot water from the faucet ran cloudy and milky, which was a little off-putting and left me wondering about the plumbing. The music was boring, the energy was gone, and people were literally sitting around looking bored and falling asleep instead of dancing. A holiday pool party is supposed to be FUN, and the DJ really makes or breaks the experience. I do want to give a HUGE shoutout to our server Carla! She was absolutely amazing and did everything she could to make our experience and vibe better. Her service and attitude were excellent. Manager Grace was also amazing! She listened to our concerns and actually tried to help the DJ understand that the vibe was just NOT IT. We really appreciated her stepping in and trying to turn things around.Unfortunately, the DJ dis not have verity type of music.. The staff deserves , especially Carla and Grace. Saturday's DJ also gets 5 stars. But Sunday's DJ? Definitely needs to understand the crowd and bring the energy especially on a big holiday weekend!

The kids were ecstatic with the size of the room, and my husband and I liked that there was a full size fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and a six person dining table. There were also two fullsized bathrooms, with the master bath including a tub. We had a king sized bed in the bedroom, and the kids slept on the sofa bed. The waterpark was the main attraction and our kids loved the lazy river, both waterslides, and the various pools. It was nice that there were smaller pools you could go to if you wanted a quieter experience. There was also a tot area with a smaller waterslide and splashpad and wading pool. Room keys were on the wristband, so you could wear that while swimming and not worry about losing your room keys. Globalists get free breakfast for two adults and two kids. During the week, there's regular restaurant service. On Fridays, Saturday and Sundays, there is a buffet brunch and that was much better than the weekday breakfast. Globalists also receive free access to the spa area, which was nice. Staff was all very friendly and kind and eager to help, which made the experience very pleasant. We hope to return next year, but we'll bring water shoes next time -- the pavement gets hot and sometimes you exit the lazy river or pool in a different area than where you left your sandals.

General hotel layout was nice, felt vintage and was a refreshing twist. Room layout was interesting, tv was placed in front of the couch so you can't watch tv in bed. When first entering our room: 1. The two ceilings lights either flickered or did not turn on at all. The room was pitch black until we PLUGGED IN the closet lamp. 2. The bathtub was not clean, there were hairs. Bathtub was paint was chipped and the faucet was leaking as well. 3. The kitchen utensils were not clean. Forks, glasses and even the roll of paper towels were found dirty or used. The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. Having decentralized customer service (through phone numbers and apps) made us feel so unattached from the actual experience.

Carlos and John, the hosts, are so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "Pink Room". I wish I could live in it! So roomy and inviting. We spent a lot of time there since it was 122 outside. That and in the amazing pool. They provide a cocktail and appetizer in the evening (Carlos even served to us while we relaxed in the pool) and a tasty breakfast at a time you can choose. Can't wait to go back there when the temp outside is not so brutal.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.

The resort is beautiful, incredibly clean and spacious, and the aesthetic is gorgeous. There are plenty of restaurants and places to eat and drink, beautiful pools, and so much to enjoy throughout the property. The food was also amazing everywhere we ate, from the restaurants to the café! What impressed me most was the customer service. From check-in and the golf cart drivers to housekeeping, restaurant staff, and bartenders, everyone was attentive, respectful, and genuinely kind. If you ask for directions, they don't just point you somewhere, they actually walk you there. That level of hospitality really stood out to me. A special mention to Cris, who welcomed guests outside and opened the doors. His kindness and hospitality made such an impression on me. I had such a beautiful experience here and cannot wait to return. I'll definitely be recommending Omni Rancho Las Palmas to my friends and family!
