Very nice retro resort style property about one mile from downtown. The room was very nice and well appointed. I was traveling with my son and the two queen beds were comfortable. Gigis restaurant on property is beautiful open air with pretty good food. Pool area with bar is very nice. During this stay the pool bartender wasn't very pleasant and disappeared for most of his shift. It was Friday afternoon and most of the guests wanted to unwind with a drink. read more

Really disappointed by my stay here. Cons: Bathroom could've been cleaner but the main issue was the shower. There's no glass door and the curtain was way too short, so everytime I showered, the bathroom would flood. I ended up using 3+ bath towels just to soak up the water every time. Also, not sure if it was the sealant they use for the bedroom floors or if they were just really dirty, but my feet were black after walking around barefoot in the room, very gross. Smaller complaints, mini fridge was tiny and had issues with the tv (could not adjust volume and power button on remote didn't seem to work) Pool area wasn't the cleanest and all the sun beds were in pretty rough shape. Also no water station that I could find.. Pros: everyone was super nice and parking was easy. Wish I had more good things to say... Overall, after paying what I did, I'm bummed about my stay and will not be back. read more

The room was comfortable. The beds were comfortable. One of the beds made a lot of noise each time you moved. Both beds had four pillows each, which was nice. There was a door that led out to the balcony that had a swinging chair, which is really cool. There was a coffee maker and a small fridge. The shower was nice. It was a walk-in with a half glass door. The showerhead had a lot of pressure so it made it comfortable taking a shower. There was one little lamp next to the sink that made it hard to see yourself in the mirror. Lights above the mirror or over the sink would've been ideal. Our room sat next to the housekeeping closet, so try to avoid booking your room on the ends of the complex. By 830 am your sleep is over. The reason for my 3 stars is because the following morning at about 9ish, housekeeping was at the door. He knocked maybe 2 times but by the time I got to the door, he keyed the door. The safety bar above the door was on and as I moved it, he pushed the door open like he was raiding a drug house. I had to push the door closed because I pinched my finger in the door lock as he was trying to get in. he asked if we needed housekeeping and I said no. We left to go to town, and when we came back and entered our room, the beds are made, towels replaced, and the trash was cleaned out. I specifically said no room service yet they still did it. WHY? Was there something in my room he wanted? I WILL NOT be staying here again due to housekeeping staff. You will have to stay here to form your own opinion. read more

Very reasonably priced. Regular size hotel room but big bathroom. Loved that the pools and jacuzzis were open until midnight. Spent all of our pool time at the adult pool mainly because all of the lounge chair cushions at the other pool were either ripped or stained. There is a bar and restaurant on site. We did not eat there but did have a good Bloody Mary. We were on the ground floor and we could hear every step the people above of made. Every step They made the floor creaked. The morning we were checking out they literally walked back and forth for like 1 1/2 hrs with the floor making soooo much noise. It was a bummer not to be able to sleep in when you're on vacation. Also the air conditioner in our room would turn on for a minute and then shut off for like five minutes. Turn back on for a minute shut off pretty difficult to sleep with it constantly going off and on. I finally just shut it off. I did let the front desk know at check out about these issues. I'm hoping they were just isolated to our room. We will for sure. Try going back again in hopes that it was just an isolated issue with our room. The V is located in South Palm Springs about 2 miles from central downtown. Our stay was ok. They have a great setup with two pools and a bar next to the 21 plus pool. There's a restaurant/bar (Gigi's) next to the "family" pool. There's a Mexican restaurant and a Tiki bar at the hotel next door (Caliente). Overall, the place has a cool vibe. Unfortunately, they haven't done much to keep the place up since they remodeled it awhile back. The furniture around the adult pool needs new cushion covers and the pool has scum from I'm assuming sun screen and tanning oils stuck to the tiles below the coping. I thought it was a calcium stain until I touched it and it rubbed of. This requires minimal effort for an associate to wipe off. It kind of says overall that there's no pride in ownership. The location and the overall set up is great. The pool bartender, Niko was very cool and great to talk to. I'd definitely stay here again if they put a little effort back into this place. Stayed here 3/29 in and out 3/30 I booked this placed only bcz we were staying one night but so many issues and pictures on the website and advertised pictures do not Match the hotels current status. Pool ripped and faded cushions in the family area, hotel bed had bugs we Kept killing, remote TV wouldn't work, wireless connection was intermitenet, the room had a red flashing light that would turn off. Rooms had no phones to report and I wasn't gonna leave my daughter in the room. Sent an email to the email provided by staff as of 4/1 still have not heard from anyone and they are still Holding my deposit hold not sure why. We left the room in order and checked out on time. Stayed here roughly 10 times over the past 3 years. Used to be a Saguaro regular but the drinks there were so comically bad it kept ruining my trips. Enter the V. Easily some of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had, period. Niko and his bartending team at the pool bar, Elixir, source fresh fruit juice each morning. Every cocktail tastes like the most delicious agua fresca you've ever had. Niko is a master at his craft and quite honestly 85% of the reason we continue to stay at the V time after time. He remembers all his regulars and is genuinely delighted to see them return time after time. I love that there's a separate pool for kids/families so that the adult pool can remain a quiet, relaxing place. Rooms are always clean. Beds are super comfy, AC's have always been in working order. I sleep much better here than I sleep at home. Currently they use a brand called Cava for their body lotion in room and it smells sooooo amazing. My biggest complaint/question mark to management is why the pool bar doesn't stay open late. I would bet most of your guests don't want to travel to go grab drinks -- they'd rather do so in their own backyard. People arrive from long drives/flights, they check in, unpack and they want to go have a relaxing drink at the pool to unwind from a day of travel. Only to walk down to the pool bar closed. I checked in at 3a and was charged a $200 incidental fee eventhough I was just sleeping and checking out in 7hrs. Front desk person was very argumentative as I was asking for clarity about the fee difference. I offered cash and was told card only and he implied that this was normal and I should have known. Extremely condescending. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN and we'll let all my friends know likewise. Especially since I and my friends are here at least 4x a year golfing. My boyfriend and I booked this hotel last minute because a hotel we were staying at previously had issues. There are things I liked and others I didn't about staying here. CONS -rooms are small, walls are thin, and the bed is extremely uncomfortable. PROS -parking is great, staff is friendly, and most of all- I LOVED the vibe of their pool. It's extremely rare imo to find a pool that was chill & played R&B/afrobeats. Just a personal preference as I'm so sick of hearing house music lol. I did a quick overnight stay here for a work trip that I was helping out at. This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Palm Springs, walking distance to The Ace Hotel, which is a happening area for pool parties. While I didn't get a chance to enjoy their pool (or any amenities for that matter), I did enjoy the size of the room. I stayed in a two queen room, which was pretty spacious. One star for the moldy caulking surrounding the tub. I hate when I see that in a hotel shower. For the price point though, it's not a bad stay! read more

Well I'll start this review by pictures are definitely not clear representation of the property condition as far as rooms and pool areas. It's about run down in my opinion. All the pool furniture very dingy and stained. The rooms are ok. Not terrible not great, just ok. I was only here for one night so it was fine and price point was reasonable. I think if they put a bit of money into this property with some updating and just overall condition and cleaning it could be a bit better. A lot of potential here! This is a motel style stay, and is quite a large property. I checked in here for a one night stay, and can't say for sure whether I'll come back or not. I was originally checked into one room, however noticed the security latch was broken off. I went back to the desk to ask for a different room, and was accommodated. Unfortunately when I went into the second room.... The security latch was also broken. Third times a charm, though! Went back to the desk again, and was finally moved to a room without a broken lock. Phew!! Unfortunately, this room had little light fixtures, and one of the two end table lamps had a bulb that was burnt out. The keypad for the door was also temperamental, and I had to keep pressing buttons over & over to get into the room. I didn't go back to the front desk about this, as I was over it at this point and just wanted to enjoy my stay. The pool chairs are a bit dirty, and could use a nice cleaning. I will say the location is good, and I did have a nice dinner at Gigi's, the on site restaurant. This place has quite a bit of potential, however they need to start paying attention to the details. So many basic things seem to go unnoticed here. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights during the Indian Wells Tennis Open 2025 this year and it was an affordable option compared to staying in Indian Wells itself. Our room was clean, on the 2nd floor and overlooked the pool, which we didn't use. Free parking and close to Pizza Hut which we ate at before arriving. About a 30 min drive into the tennis tournament but we saved $$ by staying in Palm Springs instead. This place has a motel feel to it, but just a bit more upscale or refined / modernized. read more

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago. The office closes really early even on check in days 4:00. So if you need anything you are out of luck. We checked in Fri night only to find out the TV wasn't working. Maintenance was off until Monday. This is a really old Timeshare, I would hate to own there pay maintenance fees as there aren't any upgrades. Plastic sheet over mattress and the mattress pad wasn't fitted so it kept slipping down. You'd get so sweaty. Bedroom A/C didn't work. Only good thing to say it was quiet and close to downtown. read more

Really disappointing. I'm glad it was cheap, or I would really have been livid. The choice of two pools was great. I like alternating between a heated pool and a cold pool, so I liked having the unheated option (I'm an ocean swimmer, so not everyones taste.) The view of the mountains is awesome and the location is away from the touristy part of downtown which I also like. I think the V must have been very hip and cool at one time, but it seems like it hasn't been kept up. The room was clean, but spare. A chair other than the desk chair would have been helpful. There is weird indoor/outdoor plastic on the floor that is sticky to walk on. Honestly a polished concrete floor would have been better. The bed is okay. Kind of spongey but not in a good way. Like low coil count cheap mattress way. I only requested housekeeping on one day. They refilled my coffee, but didn't refill the creamer (powdered packets), and left an odd pillowcase on my night stand. The pools are the highlight, but a lot of the pool furniture cushions are ripped and need to be replaced. It was probably beautiful the year it opened. But they seem to have no staff and haven't replaced anything. They don't really clean well by the pool area either. Every morning there were still cups and trash under deck chairs from the night before. The tile in the bathroom was nice as was the walk-in shower. Bath products were Motel 6 quality. Honestly ECO brand from Grocery Outlet would have been an upgrade. Again, this place could have been really lovely with some updates, attention to detail, and staff who make you feel welcome. It's kind of a shame it's so terrible. I guess you get what you pay for. I got a deal through Booking.com. If I had paid anything over $200 a night, I would be furious. Whoever is the manager should be fired. This is perhaps the worse staff service experience I have ever had. When checking in, everyone at the front desk acted like you were bothering them. I was early, and asked if I could check my luggage. They were like, "yeah, over there." They didn't put it in a backroom, didn't give me a tag, didn't offer to help me with my bag. I just had to leave it in a corner. When I checked in, they were just as cold, directed me to my room, but gave no directions about pool, gym (which I didn't know existed until day three), ice machines, parking. Nothing. My room was located on the second floor so some view, but was above the restaurant and its outdoor speaker. (I think maybe they save this room for people booking through a third party? Who knows?). The restaurant closed at 10pm, so I thought, okay, I can live with that. How naïve I was! Saturday was a raging bachelorette party that went well past 11:30pm complete with roaring music and drunk screaming girls. At 12:30pm when the music was still blaring, I called the front desk. No answer. I waited 10 min called again. Still no answer. I walked downstairs (there is no elevator to the second floor in this part of the hotel, so get your cardio carrying your luggage up and down). Music was blaring from the speaker and everyone was gone! I walked to the front desk (since they wouldn't pick up the phone) and asked if they ever turned the music off. Oh yeah, that's supposed to go off at 10pm. At least the fellow at the night desk was nice, unlike the frosty women who checked me in. I thought Sunday night would be better since the restaurant was supposed to close at 9pm. Nope. No different. Loud birthday party going until 11pm. I called the front desk this night (at least they answered the phone this time) and shut the music off. (By 11:30 everyone had left and they indeed had left the music on blaring.) So if you like going to a hotel and not sleeping this is the place for you! It's also ridiculous since they make you sign a long release form saying quiet-hours after 10pm. No this, no that, no partying, etc. (It's a two page release form!) Check-out was just as frosty. No question about how was your stay, did you enjoy your visit? etc. (Maybe they knew it was terrible?) Also it took over a week for them to refund my $200 deposit to my credit card. Buyer beware! (If you pay extra for a patio room, be careful not to get one that overlooks the back parking lot and row of dumpsters. I didn't stay in one of those, but I noticed there's a whole bank of "patio rooms" that have the worst view ever). read more

Don't stay here! Customer service is absolutely horrible!!! Tried to charge my phone in the room, none of the outlets worked and the front desk option was for me to go buy another charger. I had to argue with the front desk personal for over 10 minutes to call a manager. When they finally did the issue was semi resolved. FYI there are no phones in the room. Glad I took a risk with the mixed yelp reviews, I don't know why everyone is so critical. For the price - it exceeded my expectations. It's not a 5 star resort, but that's not what is advertised or what you're paying for. The property was well kept with a restaurant, bar, two pools (one heated, one cold), 2 hot tubs, and plenty of comfy shaded and unshaded lounges and couches. Parking wasn't a problem either night I stayed and there plenty of places to refill water bottles (one two free ones provided). The room was sparse, but exactly as pictured on the website. Very comfy bed, I slept like a rock and nice bathroom products. They had a white noise machine in the closet just in case you needed it, but the music went off at a decent hour but even being right above the restaurant, I could barely hear anything. Big highlight for me was the large toasty fireplace in Gigi's that was perfect to come back to after a day of exploring. Will be coming back! read more

Hotel served its purpose with my group and the block of 8 rooms we booked for a birthday weekend but I would NOT book again. After multiple calls and emails to the front desk and the manager there was virtually no response or assistance provided. There were early arrival charges, 1 wash cloth provided, a dead cockroach on my closet shelf, very unfriendly front desk. The bartender at Elixir saved the weekend and was friendly as well as helpful. Food was good too. Water pipe broke and no water to most rooms, it was repaired after many hours without. Furthermore, the manager is not onsite or even in Palm Springs, apparently they office in Los Angeles. I would book my next stay at The Ace for sure. read more

Unfortunately our stay at the V was disappointing and frustrating, especially for the price point. During a busy weekend it was nearing $400 and the cleanliness / facilities were not up to standard. The room smelled strongly of an unpleasant cleaning product, there were stains on the wall and carpet, and the bathroom did not look serviced (not to mention there was still painters tape present). There was a light switch marked for a lamp that did nothing, and it took asking the front desk why neither would turn on to find the solution (moving a piece of furniture to get to switches) Three of the four usb outlets next to the bed also did not work. The 21+ pool and hot tub's heaters were not working, leaving the family pool as your only option. Overall it was a bad experience and I would not recommend it unless you were very low on options. read more

The drinks were fabulous! Hands down. Flamingo Spritz- The glass was a cute flair to a delicious cocktail. Salty Pear Martini- a sweet and sour treat- taste of perfection. I ordered the mignon surf and turf type plate. Well done. Came back bloody so uncomfortably I had to send my plate back. The second round was cooked correct but the veggies were wilted and potatoes weren't hot anymore. The menu items sounded appetizing and the prices were up there but typical Palm Springs resort prices. I stayed one night at the hotel and got the most inexpensive room available which was a queen handicapped room next to the restaurant. Not the greatest . Very lack luster compared to the rooms with a pool view and balcony with a cute swing chair to enjoy. I felt like I was in a janitorial closet to be honest. Super steep price for what the room was but I was in town during the stagecoach festival and was traveling all day so I took what I could get for the budget I had. The hotel was be cooler if they had bikes to ride around town like ACE hotel. I definitely liked the bar and restaurant vibe though and really the cocktails were where it's at. It is a beautiful place to stay. It is basically a very fancy motel. Prices are not crazy like a hotel would be. Very nice pool and lounging area. I didn't see the rooms, but we're told by the guests that they exceeded their expectations. I will most likely stay there at the next Tiki Caliente event. I need to get on it as it does tend to sell out. Their attached restaurant GiGis has some pretty cool original drinks and presentation. read more

Horrible experience! We had to pay $115 to upgrade for a room without a broken bed. Since we booked with Booking app we were put in a corner with the smallest room ever and the bed was so uncomfortable. So we bit the bullet after driving so far. The bed was a little better but we had to have maintenance come move the beds so the table lamp would go on. The noise from the patrons upstairs was like a bowling alley. If you want to relax at the pool, you are forced to listen to heavy bass dance music. Oh, that is on till 10pm. Don't book this place. It's horrible! read more

I have stayed here several times, this hotel is great for what it is. It is a cute, clean place to stay. There is plenty of parking, with a little restaurant located right in the front. The prices were cheaper on difference websites, we asked if they could match it but unfortunately they could not. The receptionist told us that it is better to book using a third party, the difference in price was around $50 less per night. We only stay here if we are staying for a short period of time. The rooms are clean, a bit small but perfectly fine for a short stay. The pool area is nice, with a cute bar. I always recommend coming here during off season because it is quiet and peaceful. Love this place! Love that there is a great restaurant (Gigis) attached to the hotel! You can literally just stay here and enjoy a few days just at the hotel! The pools great! The jacuzzis is cozy! They play music at the pool and at the restaurant, love the ambiance! We hung out outside in our little patio with some Great music! I would say this is a place to drink and be marry. There is a younger crowd here, but I came with my fiancé and my parents and we had a blast! Beautiful scenery and close to a lot of the fun downtown Palm Springs everything! Very disappointed. Was there last weekend. I have been going for 15 yrs and I'm done. The pool was dirty with algae and cloudy and yellow on the walls. Took them all day to clean. Still would not get in. They said it was from suntan lotion, but did not want to own up that they are maintaining the property like it used to be. They refuse to cancel my booking because they know if they cancelled I would get a refund that person at the reception was asleep and made me wait outside the reception for more than an hour and then refused to check me in. My family decided to book a room at this hotel. Everything seemed really decent, we got a room next to the pool with a patio. Our room was decent until I decided to open the closet door so w can put our belongings inside and there were 2 dead cockroaches inside the closet! I was so disappointed and disgusted and called the front desk.
