I called the number and made an appointment for noon the follow day which was easy. I walked in and promptly sat down and gave him the style I wanted and he went to work. The shop was empty (that's the perk of getting your cut the day AFTER a holiday weekend) so he was able to take a little extra time and 40 minutes later, I came out looking great and feeling even better with my hair finally cut and beard trimmed.
