I used to hang out here a bit back in 2005 when it opened - GhostBar, Rain, Pool Concerts, etc. Flash forward 21 years and it's now owned by the San Manuel Indian Tribe. Decided to actually stay here for 2 days recently and I have some observations. The parking areas are poorly signed. They have a 'West' parking lot and supposedly an "East" parking lot. For guests staying at the hotel, the West would be a huge mistake. I drove up through the East parking area - the floors were badly marked and little room for cars. No signage saying front desk or registration parking, etc. I ended just valeting my car, at least that put me close the front desk. I upgraded to a 1 BR suite for only $60 more per night in the Ivory Tower. The girl at the front desk was very nice as to offering up this room for the modest upgrade fee. The size of the room was great - but it was sparsely furnished. I'll bet that room was awesome back in the Maloof years. The shower pressure was low and the water never got hotter than lukewarm. Ugh. It had some crazy red couch that looked like a teenagers bad dream in the living room. Not a fan. The casino is ok, not great. Way too may of the new tower looking slot machines. They have drastically reduced the number of blackjack tables that used to be there. They did have 3 full size craps tables going on a Wednesday night, which was surprising. The players card program is weak. I poured at least $4000 of real money, not counting coin in, through miscellanous video poker machines in 2 days and I still only accumulated about 6000 points. That's ridiculous. Just 45,000 more points to go up a tier - lol. Thank goodness I hit a royal and didn't lose money overall. I will also note that the clientele was very Asian and mainly 70+ types spending their SS checks. The facility itself is the same, of course. It's just doesn't have the wow factor it used to have when the celebrities used to hang out there. GhostBar used to be special, elite. Now, it's just a place to get a good view. $30 specialty drinks up there. Yet, they still have 5 guys with suits and earpieces manning the entrance at 10 pm - I didn't have the heart to tell them the President wasn't up there. My biggest gripe of this trip was the pool environment. Most of the employees I saw around the pool are clearly affirmative action hires. All 'lifeguards' are black and/or Hispanic? Not ony that, this casino allows 'locals' to come to the pool for free. They piled in all day - large black families and even a group of senior citizens that got a free Cabana. Their walkers and canes were piled up by the entrance. I'm sorry, but I paid good money to stay here, and this ruined the pool atmosphere big time. They don't gamble or spend money at the Palms, but they sure use the pool. Bad decision by the Indian Mgmt. I laid out by the pool 2 days, not ONE waitress ever came by asking if I or anyone else around me wanted anything to drink. Strange. Overall, not sure if I'd stay here again due to the issues I noted. read more

We decided to stay here on a summer special discount and I have to say it was very enjoyable. They let us check in just after 1 pm, which was nice. We relaxed until dinner and went to the Serrano Vista cafe for dinner because they give us Veterans a discount. We decided to split some orange chicken special and had a few beers....it was really good. Later in the evening we gambled at the shark bar...or at least that is what I call it for the Great white shark under glass....at 8 pm they shut some sheer curtains and had a DJ crank some tunes...it was truly enjoyable! The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice...the only small complaint is that the noise from the street (Flamingo) was quite loud...so I am glad I brought a noise machine. Also, the air conditioner was set crazy low on one side of the building, so I would suggest a light wrap if staying in the summer. read more

They have a great line up continuously of entertainment as well as there Amazing Movie theater. If you're going to go off strip, The Palms is definitely a great stop. From the gorgeous pool to the lights and sounds of the casino floor, it's so fun. We came just to hang by the pool, which is spacious, and more unique than others I've seen. the security people were the only downside, very rude and semi aggressive. We stayed in a cabana which is very comfortable and keeps you close to the water. The slots weren't to me, but hey, they never are. Super cute photo ops inside and out. read more

This was my first time to the Palms pool and I was mostly impressed. It is smaller but with the private cabanas, many having their own small pools, it didn't feel overly crowded. The food was good, brought over fresh and hot so we could relax and enjoy and there was a television in the cabana for those watching sports that day. The drinks were ok, not my favorite as they were slightly watered down but that can be expected from a casino most of the time. What I loved most was the pool. I just stayed here last week and although my rooms were comped for being an avid gambler in their California casino, I still had to pay $143 in resort fees in a pool I never went in because it was overly crowded with people and filthy. When I arrived to check in my room was not ready. The front desk clerk said they would text me when it was. Once it was ready about 30 minutes after that I had to get back in the staggering long line and wait all over again to get my room. Once I went into my room, I noticed it was not cleaned as I started walking around. It was getting worse by the second. I called the front desk and told them the room was not cleaned properly so they sent someone up to clean it again, but that took over an hour for them to arrive. We had dinner reservations at Tim ho wan that we were trying to get ready and get to we almost did not make our reservation time. The shower had hair in it and chunks of orange in the sink as well. The carpet wasn't vacuumed at all. There were chips, feathers crumbs, and hair everywhere. The room itself was very hot. It did come with a refrigerator, but no wet bar and no microwave even though I don't use microwaves so that was fine with me. The beds were practically on the ground. They were so worn and warped. Once you untucked the sheet, it would hit the ground. It had a chair to sit in, and that chair was warped. When I opened up the ironing board I couldn't get the ironing board to ever go back down so it stayed open the entire duration I was there. Arthur, the cleaning guy came back up and cleaned our room, but the cleaning supervisor came in before that and said she says it's not clean instead of visually looking at everything that I told him I had noticed and making a clear decision that it wasn't. I did not care for that at all. Thought it was extremely rude. I don't know what his name was but he was a cleaning supervisor and he had glasses, older Hispanic man. As the night went on, we could not get a bedside lamp to turn off and it was about to fall off of the bed frame, so another gentleman had to come in and fix that at around midnight. I also did not get his name, but it was very friendly and I really appreciate it because otherwise I would've had to go to sleep with the light on in my face. The air conditioner just stopped working. It was going up by the hour into the 70s. We had it set at 62 the entire time it never got that low. They advised us to keep our drops closed, which was fine except for in the morning when you wanted to have a little bit of sunlight. It got so hot in there that they actually had to take the unit apart one day that we were gone and they said they replaced it. Paul was our service provider at that time and he was great. When we came back, it was a little bit cooler. It did get down to 69. The beds, even though they were almost on the ground were surprisingly comfortable. My best friend snored like a bear and hibernation so clearly she had a great night sleep. I also liked the large TV and the shower was nice. It also had a separate water closet for the toilet, which I appreciated. Other than that, I don't advise anyone to stay here. It's very surprisingly shocking to me because the Yaamava hotel and casino is very clean. Also keep in mind they are still smoking throughout the casino so it stinks very bad and when you go out into the casino floor, you're going to stink. Luz was our cleaning lady throughout the week and she was awesome. Every time we saw her she gave us what we needed and we always gave her a little gratuity. She was the best part of this room experience. read more

I am not one to typically complain, as I understand that unexpected things happen, but the condition of our room during this stay simply cannot be overlooked. Almost immediately upon arrival, we found that neither the air conditioning nor the refrigerator was functioning. Furthermore, the bathroom lacked towels, and the sink was severely clogged. While the staff did send someone up to fix the sink, the exact same issue persisted even after they left. To be honest, it became almost comical that so many fundamental things were wrong with one room at the same time. The staff did offer to move us, but only to another room of the exact same caliber. Given the lack of maintenance in our current room, that did not inspire much confidence. This is really unfortunate because I have fond memories of the Palms being a great hotel from my past visits. Unless management gets their act together regarding basic room upkeep and housekeeping, I do not think I will ever stay here again. read more

Very decent stay for a short trip in Vegas. Nice pool but relatively small but I did appreciate the 21+ area. Ample bars and slot machines. The room is ok, terrible design of sink knobs (they don't start and stop, trust me IYKYK). room service is crazy expensive but really huge portion sizes. got an omelette and Caesar salad. omelette was good but salad was disappointing as the chicken came separately in a plastic container. still good hotel, clean and modern for 2 nights. read more

Although this hotel and casino are located off the Vegas strip, it has great vibes. The casino was full of people. The slots were plentiful and the tables were all full. The bar was crazy busy too. I didn't stay at this hotel but my friends and I enjoyed trying our luck at the slots, black jack and craps tables. I even witnessed a lady who had Lady Luck on her side and won over $10k playing the penny slots. My friends and I had a great time at the Palms. I loved the vibes!!! read more

Inappropriate treatment in your casino by a manager as a manager he should have been more understanding of the frustration We arrived at 12 noon our room was not ready until after 6 pm i understand check in is at 3 pm, when i asked to speak to manager which was Taylor Mcdonnell , he stated we weren't the only ones complaining, he was not concederate of my elderly  parents having to wait long  for a room we are always here gambling this our go to casino , when we told him that he states to us that they dont need our money here and he was going to put this as a final warning and he was going to call security to kick us out of hotel instead of being understanding and apologetic to us for the inconvenience . We enjoy visiting the Palms and frequently come here to play the slot machines. We arrived after hours, and the Players Club was closed. We needed replacement players cards, and the cashier directed us to the baccarat pit, explaining that they could print new cards for us there. When we approached the baccarat pit, the supervisor, Henry, refused to acknowledge or assist us. We understand that supervisors have other responsibilities and can be busy, but every guest deserves at least to be acknowledged and treated with courtesy. Even a brief explanation or directing us to someone else who could help would have been appreciated. I'm going with 4 stars because of the free, convenient garage parking. The casino itself gets more of a 3 star review. My friend and I were here for a concert at the Pearl the other night. The 3 stars for the casino are because it's very, very smoky inside, seems like the ventilation could be better. Also there are so many slot machines places so close together that it makes it a little hard to walk down the aisles between the machines without bumping into the chairs on either side. Also, and this is our fault, getting into the restaurants is tough on a Friday night without a reservation, even the cafe. We tried to go to the cafe and there were lots of empty tables but were told it was a 30 minute wait, I imagine it's a staffing issue but super disappointing. We should have planned better to allow for wait times. Luckily there's a food court and we were able to get a quick bite before the show. Staff giving directions to the line to enter the theater were all very nice. I think the Palms is more of a locals casino than it was in the past and that's appreciated! I was going to try to get a players card but the line was so long! I think that's great for Palms business! The Palms is not convenient to where I live so I'll probably reserve my visits to concert nights at the Pearl. read more

First of all our first stay at the Palm resort and Casino was so great last month when my son got married in Vegas that this month when we were meeting with family we decided to book a room again at the Palms resort and casino. Well are second go around was not pleasant at all. We got into our room and dropped our stuff off and meet with family for dinner we brought them back to the casino to eat drink and gamble with us. We got to our room at 1:30am and noticed the toilet kept running the tank wasn't filling with water and when we washed our hands the sink was not draining how it should. So we called service desk they sent up maintenance. Maintenance wanted to take apart toilet and sink while we were in the room we said no we are exhausted. Me and my husband drove out from Chino Ca and we worked the prior night got up on little sleep to make the room reservation. We were really hoping to just enjoy are weekend with family who came from Northern California. We went down stairs spoke to a manager and she spoke with a supervisor. She gave us two option he could fix the toilet and sink but it would take awhile or she would upgrade our room for the inconveniences. We just wanted to sleep we didn't want maintenance in the room while we where in there and she assured us that she would move us to a different room before sending maintenance to fix the issues but the reservation for the other room would be for Saturday as soon as possible. We had maintenance knocking on our door at 10:00 am even though the do not disturb sign was on the door. We told him they were supposed to call us for the room change before he came up he advised us to call the service desk. I called the service desk was told check out is at 11:00am and that the room we were getting would have to be cleaned. So there was a time estimate of 1:00 or 2:00 being the latest. So instead of going out enjoying breakfast or brunch with family we showered and packed up all our stuff and checked out of the room at 2:00p.m.. I asked service if other room was ready she said cleaning was a little backed up but that I should be receiving a call soon. She made sure my cell number was correct in the system and even took down my husbands number. We drove around as we had reservations with the family for top golf at 4:30. By 4:00 I called service desk to check on our room hoping I could change and have a place to use the restroom freshen up and not have to worry about unpacking I just wanted to enjoy my family and our day. Called service desk at 4:00 they couldn't find me in the system finally they found me then sent me a text saying room was ready by now it was to late to go back and unpack re- check in or even have time to change. We got back from top golf went to check in. Went back out to the car my husband and I talked as we walked to the new room decided it was already late family was already at another destination by the time we unpacked got back to were they were it would be to late and basically now the room was pointless and it was just one inconvenience after another. We asked for a refund but because room was purchased from a third party Vegas.com they could not. So basically it was just a total waste of 600.00 for what should have been a nice weekend. read more

The inside is nice. The tier levels are up there and it takes a good bit of playing to advance to the next level. They always a lot of new video slot machines, which is always entertaining. Their buffet with the all you can eat lobster nights (reservation requires) and the Scotch Prime Restaurant are really nice. A lot of the restaurant are Asian themed but they do have a food court and movie theater so there is always something to do inside. We did a staycation in on of the rooms and it was immaculate and had all of the amenities. It definitely is one of the nicer off the strip hotels with a pretty decent view. The only downside side I would say is that I don't feel like the drink service is very prompt. I always have to flag someone down for a drink and then it takes forever for them to return. read more

My fiancé and I are both locals, as is my future mother in law. Today Aug 6th we visited and it had to be hands down, one of the most abysmal trips to this place we ever took. Horrible absolutely horrible service, from the waitresses (non existent and ignoring us) to the Serrano Vista Cafe. We waited 30 mins to place and order and another 15 mins to pick it up. Worst part is this useless manager at the cafe kept popping her head out and smiling like everything was great. People cutting in line, people waiting around forever, awful service. Not sure what's happened to this place literally in the matter of a few weeks, but the decline is incredible. Never thought The Palms would fall apart so quickly and easily. None of the regular staff they have, was there, all new faces, and also a ridiculous amount of agents from Nevada Gaming Board walking around now, are you guys under investigation? Is it over for the Palms ? Seems like it. This whole visit demonstrates the leadership team and management is grossly out of touch and control of this establishment. read more

We stayed in the Palms Place the night previous, and the Palms Casino Resort was a letdown in comparison. An hour into our stay, the bathroom light completely stopped working. The room size was good, and the TV had Netflix - which was nice. However, the shower and sink pressure was wonky and not uniform, and came out splashing. Lastly, the bed had a weird image of a woman's eyes above it. Creepy. While downstairs in the casino, we felt a bit profiled by an employee asking for ID, as they have a rule that anyone who "looks under 30" could be carded at anytime. Seems a bit subjective and random which doesn't make me feel welcome as a guest. read more

5 STARS to the two girls, I believe Paloma and her friend for stopping and helping out an injured dog last week. It happened last week by the elevator going to the back parking. They were going to work and they saw the injured dog and stop to help. They were wearing all black. Not sure what department they work at. They gave their own water from their hydro flask to the dog. The dog was bleeding and very dehydrated. We were there to help too with other people, but the two girls were amazing. Palms management, please acknowledge their action, the security were not even close to what the two girls did. So... overall not a bad experience. It was fun and entertaining. Several workers in all capacities were very friendly and helpful. I tried several restaurants within the casino and all were really good. Some I tried twice...‍ One of my drawbacks was the handicapped accessible shower. Yes it was a roll in, but there were no pull bars of any kind or a bench if needed. The shower floor is very slippery, which added to my need for an abundance of caution. I made it work by placing towels to get some stability. Our room attendant helped by giving me a rug. Oh! The beds were a bit low for me, but are probably good for someone needed to transfer from a wheelchair. There is a base around the bottom of the bed. I have stayed at most of the hotel-casinos in Las Vegas when I'm there on business. Each has its pros and cons as you know. For the balance of price, value, and amenities, I think the Palms is the best. I stay here every year when I'm in the city. The front desk is always polite and efficient. The ambiance of the Palms is comfortable and inviting. EVERY casino will leave you with the smell of smoke, but I think the Palms does an adequate job of mitigating that smell. There is food everywhere, from pizza, pan-Asian noodles, a lovely cafe, a buffet, Chinese, and a food court with fast food. You can get anything you want. I have had rooms in both the Ivory Tower and the Fantasy Tower, and both are pretty great, albeit very differently decorated. My rooms are always clean, and housekeeping is a delight. I do have one complaint though. Coffee. There is a Keurig in the room, but there are no coffee pods to use, at least not for free. I don't know that I have been in a hotel in the past ten years that didn't include coffee with your stay. Here, you must pay $3 per pod, which I found ridiculous, so I went to the McDonalds in the casino food court and got coffee for less. Coffee should be complementary with the price of the room. Otherwise, I will continue to stay at the Palms when I'm in Las Vegas. Enjoy! read more

Second time staying at The Palms this year. First time during MLK weekend, we got 2 queens in a corner suite. The door was massive like a private entrance. It was a corner unit with large windows over looking The Palms towers. This time, Memorial weekend, we got a king bed in the Fantasy Tower. It's clean, modern, bright beige color palette. The digital clock has a wireless charging pad. The mini fridge is not for personal use. You must request for a fridge if you want one. Otherwise, it has a timer and will charge you if you remove items or open for too long. Although slightly off strip, the advantage is free parking, cheaper gambling, better odds for blackjack. Next time, we will need to try AYCE buffet. read more

Love that we can be at the pool at 9am as soon as they open. Found our usual spot to lay out and enjoy some sun while some of our family members enjoy the pool. Great way to start our 4th of July. One of the things we enjoy about Palms is that they don't get too crowded. Also security at the pool and check in area are always so helpful and courteous. You can also order drinks whether alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks and snacks like chicken tenders and fries from the pool bar. Last night we ate at Serrano Vista Cafe and we can't wait to have late lunch there. Craving for their Ahi Poke and Locomoco. read more

Palms is really a nice low key hotel to stay in. Away from the strip but close enough if you want to go. The overall staff are great too. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. But there were some minor issues. The lamp between the bed was not working. Wasnt the light bulb as I checked. The outlet in the base worked too but the lamp itself would not turn on lol. And the clock next to it was not working. Also the remote was missing. Weird lol. But it might've been a previous guest messing around? Nothing that really hindered our visit though. House service was great though and friendly when they brought up anything we needed. Our room was comfortable but don't forget to bring your own cooler if you need anything refrigerated. There is a Keurig but no supplied pods. They charge for that now so just an fyi. The pool was a good time. Some days no kids are allowed so make sure you check. I think since its summer kids are allowed in one of the pools while the other one is 21 and over. There are outdoor couch seating with tables and some circular lounge seating. The pool we used is donut shape with an island in the center. Usually there is seating in the center but not today. We arrived about an hour after they opened. Still wasn't crowded and was a relaxing time. One of the security guards, Deanthony offered to take a photo for us. I appreciate that! He was hospitable and really nice. Thank you! read more

I've stayed almost 10 years ago in an ivory suite and I had a terrible time then I stayed at the Palms place in a suite and I nicknamed that suite the murder suite, because there was dried blood on the carpeting And I just stayed over Thanksgiving 10 years later, practically in an ivory suite and had a terrible time again. I hate this property more than any other place in Vegas. I've said it before and this is the nicest dump I've ever stayed in. I actually cut my stay short because I did not want to stay in this room for another minute. The cable was out for the suites which our floor is 50 through 53.. My plan was to sit in the room for a couple of days and just watch TV and read and just relax and not be in my house which is 4 miles down the road not be around anyone. And because the cable wasn't working, it made no sense for me to stay there any longer. I double checked that I would get refunded. I asked the lady who checked me out. She said I was. I haven't gotten the money back in my account yet so I'm gonna give it a few more days before I have to go back there and Karen up. There is no refrigerator and there's no microwave in these rooms. You can get that at a La Quinta or any other hotel on the strip. There's no USB port next to the bed. You have to fish out an old crusty extension cord. These rooms need to be badly remodeled again it wasn't cleaned. There was a raisin and milk duds or raisin nuts on the couch. There was crusty bodily fluid. The ghost bar was right above me and that was loud music for half the night. It was a really miserable experience and then you get charged $34 for the refrigerator for your stay you're paying for a suite and also there's a Keurig machine like every other hotel has and then they give you coffee to use with it not the palms they give you a Starbucks K cup and if you use it, you'll be charged three dollars. Don't stay here just don't. It is a terrible property. I've given it three chances. None of them have been favorable. Spend your money somewhere else. There were also several lightbulbs out, the fans in the bathroom are automatically and they sound like loud washing machines even when you have the doors closed you can still hear the one in the half bath, there's also square cut outs, which you can see in one of my photos where they've replaced the carpeting.
