Ordered the mixed Shawarma platter, lamb kabob and chicken cube platter... And all 3 dishes were cooked absolutely perfectly. I needed had shawarma so tender in my life filled with so much flavour. Each meal came with hummus, salad, rice and one dish came with Baba gounush and some pita bread. Portions are generous and delicious. Absolutely terrible experience - never going back. I visited Palmsview Shawarma for the first time, and it was easily one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. This happened today. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, and from the first bite, it was obvious the whole thing was a disaster. The bread was dry and stiff, the wrap itself was flavorless, and the chicken tasted undercooked. It genuinely felt like I was swallowing rocks - completely unappetizing and hard to eat. I politely asked the staff for more sauce, since the wrap was bone-dry, and was told it would be an extra charge--even though I could barely taste or see any sauce at all. When I pointed this out, the man (about 6ft tall) behind the counter became defensive and borderline aggressive, saying, "I'm not going to argue with you," even though I was calm and just trying to get what I paid for. What happened next was shocking. In front of other customers, he angrily grabbed the wrap from my hands and aggressively drenched it in sauce before tossing it back to me. It was clear he was trying to save face because people were watching & at risk losing his customers in line, but his behavior was completely unprofessional and intimidating. The decor might look nice, but the customer service and food quality were absolutely horrible. I left feeling sick and deeply uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers and serves edible food. read more

This has to be a hidden gem restaurant. Service is so sweet, and the owners even let us we are some cute hats to take pictures when they saw us taking pictures of the food. I think there's plenty of space, and the ambience is very nice, with gentle music playing. Every single piece of food we ate we loved, and we will definitely be going back if we had more time in Canada. It was our first time, trying, Syrian food, and we were definitely impressed! We were struggling to decide on a restaurant and honestly just stumbled upon this place and the owner was so friendly. He said it's a family owned restaurant. It wasn't very crowded and the google reviews didn't do it much justice. We are big time foodies and everything was fresh and flavorful. The food was perfect! Cooked to perfection. The chicken and beef shawarma were so good. The falafel was made fresh and wasn't dry (which we sometimes find with falafels). It's right next door to a really cool Indian grocery store as well! I'd I could give them zero or negative 10 I would. an absolute disgusting experience. my husband bought a shawarma from them paying with his debit card. the bill was for $11.26. his debit card showed the transaction went through and money was deducted. the owner argued it wasn't accepted on his end even though my husband showed his the transaction gone through on his debit acct. my husband then left his phone # advising the owner if the payment was indeed not received he would come and pay it. the owner called my husband a couple of times and the call was missed 3x where the owner left my husband harassing messages calling us eating "haram" because we were freeloaders and whatnot. the owner has absolutely zero customer service skills let alone any human decency possible. this man left my husband abusive voicmails for a mere $11.26. if we didn't want to pay and wanted a "haraam" meal my husband wouldn't have left you his number. when my husband called this guy back he again unprofessionally lashed out at him on the phone with verbal abuse. buddy we will pay your $11.26 and that will be the last of our business to you and many others who I will make sure to never recommend to such a pathetic business!!!! They do not allow outside food, however we only had gotten chicken tenders and a drink for our daughter and all of us were going to order from the restaurant. He told us she couldn't eat there if she had her own food. My daughter and I took our food to go and ate next door, while my family stayed in the restaurant. Palms is the new shawarma joint in Niagara. Despite being in a strip mall, the decor is surprisingly nice and authentic and the location is central and easily accessible. I've been here 3 times now and each time the food has been absolutely impeccable. The meats are well seasoned, delicious and served with a good presentation. Portions are large, and the price is very decent. It's slightly more expensive than similar shawarma joints (about $2 more for a platter) but the quality is significantly better. Service is excellent, and the in house made cheesecake and specialty coffees are not to be missed. I strongly recommend Palms. read more

Visited Palms on one of the coldest days in Niagara. Lovely interior with a Turkish touch. Looks like a family run business. Service and courteousness were impeccable. I bought a falafel ($8+) sandwich for takeout. The sandwich was excellent. One big area for improvement is the speed. It took nearly 40 mins to make a falafel sandwich. There were three other customers at the time and there were three staff in the kitchen and two at the cash. I saw one customer finishing his fries that came before his shawarma. If the restaurant figures out how to serve excellent food, it will survive in this highly competitive town. read more

Medium sized restaurant/cafe on Lundys Lane. Perfect for a family lunch/dinner or an outing with friends. Very clean as well. Went in for lunch today with my husband. We were greeted right away by a friendly young man at the counter. He explained the menu to us as this was our first time visiting. We ordered the Shish Tawook Platter (chicken breast cubes) and Mixed Shawarma Platter. Platters come with rice, hummus and fattoush, but you can replace either of those with tabbouli or baba ghanoush. We waited about 15 mins for our food, but we could see that it was being freshly made on the grill in their open kitchen. When the food came I was a little worried the Shish Tawook would be dry because it looked overdone, but I was so wrong. The chicken was soft, juicy and succulent and full of flavor. I usually don't like par boiled rice, but they were able to infuse some subtle flavor into it that made it really tasty. The hummus was smooth and creamy but a little heavy handed on the tahini. The fattoush was a little under dressed but otherwise it was good. The beef shawarma on the mixed platter was a little dry but still had good flavor. The chicken was spot on. They also serve a variety of specialty coffees and desserts. We ordered 2 slices of cheesecake; coffee caramel and mixed berry. Oh man...if you like coffee and you like cheesecake, definitely get the coffee cheesecake! The cake a little dense, but the flavors are so good! The chef, the young man at the counter and the owners wife all checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. Service was great! Only had 2 small issues: 1) the restaurant was cold. But that could have been because they have an open kitchen (so keep the heat low) and don't want the restaurant to get too hot cause of the heat from the grill 2) I thought there was a little too much oil on top of my hummus But honestly, even with these issues, it's just me being picky. The grilled Halloumi cheese was decent. The Muhammra was mediocre. I really wanted to like this place from the first impression but not a happy customer. I ordered takeout from this restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma as well as the mixed Chicken and Beef Shawarma, which came with Hummus and rice as well as pita bread. A nice gesture that I appreciated is they ask you if you want garlic sauce or hot sauce. I was a bit disappointed that they only have two types of salad (Tabouleh or Fattouche). They are not very flexible in making adjustments to the dish, as I asked one dish to be without hummus and rice. Service was good, and the order was ready in a few minutes. We had shwarma wraps and garlic potatoes. Both were excellent. High quality beef prepared with tasty spices. I didn't know if I'd like the potatoes - I usually prefer something on the crispier side. But the flavor was outstanding, instantly won me over. We always bring water in reusable bottles to restaurants in the never ending battle to fight single use plastic.
