I'd been to palmyra several times before and was always fond of their food. The chicken shawarma is always good and they try their best if you ask for special dietary requests. On my 5th time visiting, however, I found a long hair in my takeout meal. Needless to say that has turned me off from visiting again. I've come to realize that the employees touching the food aren't required to wear hair nets-- this is something I really think they should look into. read more

Went there for dinner with my wife and kids, pleasantly surprised of how good the food was, kids were grumpy at first, did not want to taste the food, but soon changed their mind when they saw fresh flat bread baked infornt of their eyes, they absolutly loved the bread. Ordered the following: Great Kebobs, tried the chicken and the beef, both were good, chicken was my favorite. Falafel: As good a Falafel as one can get. Fresh flat bread baked on the spot, that was really cool and could not get enough of it. This is as close as a true mediterranean food as you can get. read more

Had Palmyra grill cater my baby shower this past weekend. I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. When my husband went to pick up the food the whole family was there making sure everything was done perfectly. The effort and care they put into each dish was definitely noticed. The food is very good. However, the prices recently increased significantly. Falafel wrap increased from 5 to 8$. Also, none of the staff use hairnets and I've found hair in my food before. It was my first time coming to this restaurant and it will not be my last. Ordered the chicken kabob platter and man ooohhhhhhh man that chicken was grilled perfectly! Nice and juicy, and not DRY. Came here the other day for late lunch, wasn't overly busy. Had a lamb/chicken shawarma platter. The lamb was really tasty, the rest was good but not great. we have favorite mediteranean restaurants all over Vancouver, but this one has the tastiest food of all....the spices are full and flavorful. I was really impressed with the rice being nicely spiced, since all of the other restaurants we frequent have quite mild or plain rice. The chicken shawarma, baba ganouj, lamb kabobs and chicken kabobs were outstanding As were the tabouli salad, fatoush salad and flatbread. AND the baklava was not too sweet or tough.
