Might be the BEST brunch I've had in a while. The name truly lives up to this spot. Palo Santo is grounded and just full of good energy from everyone. They do private parties-- came here for an engagement party and it was like we had the entire back half to ourselves. They even allowed us to play our own music ! This is a true bottomless brunch. The bottomless drinks were flowing -- not even exaggerating-- the waiters/waitresses were on point with the refills. Food was delicious! There were several options for the brunch. The French toast, the salads, scrambled eggs were a hit (there were other options, but they weren't veggie so I didn't try it). For my photo and unvaccinated people, they have a small backyard area for outdoor dining and cute photos. Definitely recommend! read more

The food and experience here are so exceptional!!! I came on a whim with my boyfriend for date night and we loved it all. The vibes were lovely, the service was so friendly, and the food was great. For appetizers, we got the chayote salad & hearts of palm, as well as the tortillas + avocado. Shockingly, the tortillas + avocado were our favorite -- the tiny tortillas were so delicious and warm and fresh, and perfect with the avocado. The hearts of palm and chayote salad were also exceptional, though the latter was a bit sweet. For main courses we got the duck mole and the plantain coconut curry. Both were so great. The duck was just seriously amazing -- it was literally falling off the bone it was so tender, and the mole was the perfect flavoring. I ordered a second round of tortillas to sop up the mole and duck and that was frankly a great call that I recommend everyone do. The curry was also delicious, I loved how it was served and the coconut rice it came with was the perfect accompaniment. We had the prefix dinner menu that came with an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $47? If you're planning on getting an app and entree, do the prefix because valueeeeeeee. We got the ceviche, quesadillas, duck mole, plantains with ground meat, pana cotta, and coconut tres leches cake. All was delicious. Palo Santo is a cute small restaurant with outdoor dining. The inside is really dark but they have a backyard space for small private events that looked really nice. I ordered the platano relleno which is a sweet plantain filled with ground beef and comes with a avocado side salad which was delicious and refreshing. There wasn't much of a dessert menu-- just two items. I ordered the coconut tres leches which was okay...it tasted like it had been in the fridge for too long. Unlimited mimosa or sangria for only $15 which was good. I would definitely come back. The food was delicious, drinks were good, service was good, and affordable. read more

I came here for Sunday brunch with a couple of friends. It's a super cute little place, nestled in between the buildings. They have one table and a couple of chairs outside- the inside is a little dark, but its big and doesn't feel cramped. The decor is cute! and I love wooden tables and chairs, which is what they have. They also have glittery skull lamps in the window which are cool. I tried the Prix Fixe which comes with tea/coffee or mimosa/bloody and I had the Huevos Bañados. I highly recommend this, comes on texas toast and all the yummy sauce gets into the bread making it amazing. I will say that the food took time to come to the table, but the service was good, and quick. You get free refills on the coffee and an extra mimosa is $1- great deal! Palo Santo is a Park Slope GEM! They have been serving delicious food in a lovely space on Union Street for more than seventeen years! We've enjoyed Thanksgiving meals there twice. The first time was our first pandemic Thanksgiving! Great food, lots of space between tables and very happy diners! During the pandemic they delivered amazing dinner for two-(2 appetizers, 1 huge entree that we ate for days and the best desserts! All of that for $60 and your tip went to their staff via Venmo! Palo Santo was sending meals to our heroic doctors and nurses at Methodist Hospital and patron's could donate towards those meals! Palo Santo loves the Park Slope community. Go eat there! read more

This restaurant was pretty cute and the service was outstanding! I ordered the 3 course meal for $45 and got the grilled octopus for my appetizer, rack of lamb for my entree and the pecan chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Starting with the octopus, it arrived at my table COLD honestly if I had to guess, it was probably sitting out in the kitchen for 20 minutes. I personally cannot enjoy cold food so I guess it was just okay. I'm sure if the temperature was right it would've been better. The rack of lamb was also not hot and lacked flavor and was also a bit undercooked for my liking. I took it home - seasoned it and put it in the oven. The dessert was my favorite part of the meal, it was amazinggggg. It came with a tasteless whip cream on top which I could've done without but the actual bread pudding was soooo good. Came here for a bridal shower for my future sister in law and had a great time! The staff was attentive, took orders, and brought out dishes and drinks with smiles. Food was unlimited as were the drinks. They were great with bringing out extra utensils and plates for cake/food and came around with drinks for offer. We had fresh fruit plates with papaya, sliced pineapple, oranges and mango, a walnut bread or something, a papaya salad, pulled pork, rice and beans, grilled shrimp, asparagus, French toast with whipped cream and pineapples, and panna Cotta with hibiscus syrup for dessert. Unlimited brunch drinks, orange juice, hibiscus juice, red sangria and more! Food was really good and refilled as needed. The shrimp was a little harder to come by, but they were able to make us more :) We also were able to take leftovers home and were given small and large boxes and paper tote bags to pack them. We were there from 10-1PM and were never rushed, but they did give us a heads up when it was about 12:30PM, but even after 1PM they did not try to push us out. They helped us take pictures as well! They were very nice and the backspace is perfect for a shower/event. We had about 20 people and it was very comfortable, but it probably could have fit maybe even up to 30 (2 tables of 8 with booths, 1 table about 10 and another table up the steps that could fit probably 8-10 people). They allowed for decorations like balloons, banners with tape, and table flowers with confetti. Staff and space were great! I would definitely come back and would host an event here! read more

Wow! We went here for brunch which included fantastic food and service. They start you with coconut bread at the table which was delightfully light and not too sweet. We did bottomless brunch which we thought was fairly priced-- $15 for bottomless mimosas or sangria with an entree for $19. When ordering we were so torn because everything sounded delicious but we ended up ordering Huevos Bañados and Coconut French Toast. The chilie hollandaise for the huevos banados is phenomenal, just lovely twist on a regular Benedict. The french toast was topped with stewed pineapple creating a well balanced dish texture and flavorwise. I think we definitely will return for dinner and maybe try the prefixed menus! read more

Delicious food. Unfortunately taking off a star because of the high credit card fee charged. $2.99 per card used. Without knowing this, we tried to split the bill between 2 people, that would have been a $5.98 CC fee on a $80-something bill. Almost 8%. Outright greedy. Apparently it's mentioned on the Menu but we missed it, "$2.99 fee is charged for each credit card transaction" which they have taken to mean per credit card used regardless of total. Quite a way to discourage split bills or credit cards at all. We ended up paying cash as such a high surcharge was simply not acceptable. Bring cash or use a single credit card if you choose to eat here. read more

Fun place with slow but amazingly friendly and thoughtful service. We came here for a bachelorette brunch on a Saturday and they were gracious and flexible when we had two people not show up for our larger reservation. We ordered a bunch of drinks including coffee (decent), mimosas (pretty good) as well as a nice array of their brunch items such as the french toast (fluffy and sweet), the pork hash and eggs (delicious -- the slaw added a real freshness to the fatty, gooey dish), and the chilaquiles (yummy but could be spicier). Since our entrees took a good while to come out, they also offered us a champagne toast, an avocado ceviche on the house, and several desserts to round out the meal. Come here and expect awesome service, and although you might be waiting a while for your actual food it's such a fun and delicious time you probably won't notice! (Value is great as well: $200 post tax and tip for 7 people with entrees and multiple drinks.) read more

I didn't feel rushed, I ordered some apps (avocado + tortillas) and really got a good look at the spot. We were seated in the back area, which I wasn't aware they had. Really cozy and chill spot. The menu was great...there is a pre-fix menu...and everyone was able to choose something to their liking. Sangria was awesome too! Really, just an overall amazing night. I had the fish w/ plantain (roasted) + red cabbage for my entree. Pretty tasty although the fish was a tad bit salty, otherwise a pretty good meal. I wasn't overstuffed and felt satisfied! We sat inside as it was hot. I ordered the steak and eggs while my GF ordered the breakfast tacos. for $21 you get an entree and a drink. I anticipated my steak to be a few little slices based on the reasonable $21. It was actually a good portion size. Steak and eggs were very good. My GF as well enjoyed her breakfast tacos. The food and ambience felt like you were getting a home cooked meal. Everything that we saw come out of the kitchen looked great! The only takeaway star was due to the service. It def could've been better. Had to ask for water several times, needed napkins, etc...service was def slacking. Otherwise we had an excellent experience! read more

My friends and I found the perfect place for a bridal shower in the backroom of Palo Santo. The decor is quaint and rustic with beautiful windows so it made the perfect setting, but the food and staff were just spectacular in helping us with everything we needed. Cheers to Gonzalo, Zack, and team for helping us shower the bride with love and delicious food! We ordered a pri-fixe menu that included 3 entrees served family style, cake, fruit platter, bread baskets, and unlimited sangria, house wine, mimosas, beer, soft drinks. The fruit platters (cantaloupe, melon, star fruit, etc) were meticulously cut and fresh; the chayote salad was good. The chicken entree came out a tad dry but still flavorful. Shrimp dish was perfect! My favorite was the farmer's egg sandwich, oh myyyy. Eggs were fluffy and the brioche BUNS, HUN! Very airy, light. We thought it was a vegetarian dish... but there was juicy, crispy bacon to our delight! #sorrynotsorry Lastly, I've hosted a few bridal showers and Palo Santo's team really went above and beyond. From playing our Spotify playlist on the restaurant sound system for our games, to coming back frequently with trays of drinks, timing the food arrival to our schedule, to attentively clearing plates quickly, placing the cake topper just right on the beautiful cake, to making and bringing non-alcoholic mocktails for our moms to be and non-drinkers, to helping us clean and prep the tables for photos with the bride - they really took stupendous care of us. They helped us with last call for drinks and kept us to the schedule (so they could prep the room for dinner guests) - but we never felt rushed. Our guests had a fun time and the bride couldn't stop smiling. My girlfriends and I can't wait to go back for brunch (and order the egg sandwiches along with rice and beans!). read more

The waiter was very helpful for us in identifying dishes that would work with dietary restrictions, adaptations for reducing gluten and also for just preferences. Portions were reasonable - I wished I'd gotten some added avocado for my chilaquiles, or a side dish - and the food was delicious.
