Nice spot serving traditional Jamaican dishes. I know the other restaurants in Brooklyn, but this was my first time visiting this particular one. Upon arrival the restaurant is very clean, and the service was fast. There is a dine in area as well. The woman who took my order was very patient , and personable. I ordered a brown stew fish, cabbage and 3 small soups. Everything came out to about $49. The chicken soup was very good . The cabbage was also very good. The fish on the other hand was very salty and not worth the $20 charge (fish with no sides). I get it the area etc etc but for the price the food should be top notch. Lunch pick up around 1 a.m. ish. Was welcomely greeted when I walked in to this small yet cozy eatery. I ordered a large Just (Jerk) Chicken with extra sauce. Escovitch fish meal which came with plantains, rice and peas, and spinach. Everything was still warm and tasty when I arrived home. The order was packaged nicely. Definitely, nice portions for the prices. Place is clean. Staff is friendly, informative, and service was amazing. It takes about 10 minutes for the fish since they make it to order. I will soon be back and may have them do some catering orders for me( usually order from the location on flatbush). Pop in if you ever get in the area and want some hot warming food. read more

Yesterday I started a no cabs diet and stumbled by this Peppas here on Park Slope and dam it was amazing, the place is clean and very tidy well put together, a tad bit small but I love cozy. I ordered the stew oxtail with my sides being steamed Cabbage, spinach and fried plantain, it was mouth watering, seasoned to perfection, oxtail well done, with the use of a fork it's practically falling off the bone, juicy delightful flavor and exciting to the palette. The side when mixed with the gravy came together very well. Walton point and finished with a cup or Sorrel. Today I give them a ( 5 )five star rating. The best experience I've had in any Peppas location. Everything tasted fresh, even the plantains which is rare. The jerk chicken was cooked just right with that charred texture you want. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and the service was friendly. And they're not stingy with the oxtail gravy. This location was on point in every way today and I will be back. read more

I was looking for a last place to eat before I fly back home and read this place was good. Food was given to me in a container, yet I was eating there at the restaurant. Food was mid.. was barely flavorful, and the plantains were super cold as the container was just left open. The oxtail was good though, but needed flavor. I asked for a side of jerk sauce and literally tasted like bbq sauce.. I was confused. The girl gave me another one but it was the same thing.. not sure what the point was. I placed an order with them via Uber eats. Just based off the food I received I can tell this place is VERY UNSANITARY. I ordered a cow heel soup, jerk chicken and Festival on the side. The cow heel soup had SEVERAL STRANDS of hair in it. Jerk chicken was dry and the festival was hard to bite through. The only positive I have is that they sealed the food well for delivery. I've always had great experiences picking up food in-store, so for my most recent birthday, I decided to have Peppas cater the celebration--and they did not disappoint! The food arrived on time, hot, and fresh. We ordered all my favorites: coconut curry shrimp, jerk salmon, sweet chili chicken wings, appetizer-sized beef and veggie patties, and, of course, their incredible jerk chicken. What a huge bummer this was! Jerk chicken is extremely dry and boney with very little flavor. Platter consisted of mostly rice and peas which also were not seasoned well. Everything sort of dry and/or mushy in texture. And the plaintains? DRY. Like how can you mess up the best part of a jerk platter? Space is also extremely cramped with hard chairs and people let their kids just run wild in here. It seems to be sort of a hang out for Caribbean Park Slope nannies so if you want to hear exhausted women yelling at noisy little kids this is the spot for you. Very uncomfortable dining experience. If you want actual good jerk in Brooklyn I would recommend De Hot Pot or The Islands(the best!). read more

Ohhh boy. Legit 2 pieces of chicken cut up, no flavor, tasted old like it's been sitting there for a lonnnnnng while. Rice and peas should have been called mashed rice and peas so damn mushy. Plantains were so dry the Sahara desert would have been jealous. Only decent this was the cabbage and surprised that they didn't F it up. Plate was so small it was like a kids meal. Never again. We tried the jerk chicken while we were watching the Pride Parade and was blown away by how good it was! So we decided to go back to try their other food items for lunch and we were just as pleased with our other food choices. My husband tried the jerk pork, my daughter had the curry goat and I had the oxtail stew. The meals comes with 2 sides and you get to chose from a variety of sides including different types of veggies. I was surprised how much I liked the curry goat given I'm not a big goat fan because of their gamey taste but I didn't get any of that from the dish. The oxtail was a bit dry but the flavor was really nice. The jerk pork was also very flavorful but I think I liked the chicken better. They have these juice drinks that are super yummy! Definitely try it. The staff is very friendly and nice. It's a pretty small shop with only a few tables so not good for groups more than 3-4 people. A nice addition to Park Slope for sure and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. read more

I absolutely love Peppa's Park Slope for so many reasons! From their delicious Peppa's pasta and jerk salmon to my all-time favorite sweet chili chicken, everything is simply the best. Not only do I order from Peppa's for myself, but they also catered a huge corporate event I organized, and wow, did they deliver! The food was such a hit that attendees were asking for foil to take leftovers home, which *never* happens! They handled everything, from the amazing food to the liquor, and even brought sorrel, such a thoughtful touch. If you're looking for catering, ask for Frances. She is absolutely AMAZING and works closely with you to meet your budget and ensure every detail is perfect. I was the first order for the end of the year (12/31/24). I spent over $120 dollars on 2 transactions. I'd order 2 beef patties, 1 jerk, 1 spinach, and 1 veggie a total of 5 patties at $4. I only received 4 patties...missing a beef patty. I should have checked the bag before leaving. However, I was on the phone and the woman that took my order was looking at the receipt getting the patties. How can you get it wrong or ever forget a patty...when you are looking at the receipt. Make a long story short I only received 4 patties, and I'd tried calling the Peppas Jerk at 718-757-9756 @ 12:16pm and no one answered. If someone answered the phone, then I would not have left this review. I was the first order (you are looking at the receipt) there was no way to get is wrong or forget so I'm led to believe it was intentional. Ever way bad business. read more

This place fantastic! I got the oxtail plate with rice and beans and spinach and then a side of jerk chicken. The servings were huge and fed me for 4 meals! The flavor of all the food was delicious and well seasoned. The oxtail was melt in your mouth amazing. The sauces: jerk and bbq were outstanding. Finally, the service was awesome.
