I've been here twice and had issues both times. We ordered drinks and they were perfect. We split a queso which was very runny and oddly green in color. It didn't taste bad though. For dinner we ordered fajitas which were mostly peppers and onions. The steak was dry and had no taste. The chicken was a bit better but nothing I'd rave about. We ordered a second round of drinks and they were horrible. The manager came over and apologized and comped us the round. The last time we were here we had the same issue with the drinks. The last time we also had service issues. We were a large party (10) and the food came out so that half the table was almost done eating by the time the other half got their food. I miss the old Pio Pio. This is just a lackluster restaurant and there are better options for Mexican food in Boynton Beach. We will not be back. read more

Pork belly burrito is a MUST! Perfectly cooked pork belly, not too tough and not too fatty. The salsa was pretty unique, not like other Mexican restaurants in the area, and it was a really nice flavor. The sauces were really good! I loved the chipotle and the hot honey one!! My husband loved the verde!! I had the Al pastor tacos which were great with the pineapple and fresh cilantro and onion. I only wish the pork was a little more juicy and flavorful but the sauces definitely helped! The inside of the restaurant is really cute and trendy. We ate outside and the patio is great but be ready for a little traffic noise from Federal Highway. Staff was fantastic, super friendly, and fairly quick! Revisited after reading wonderful reviews. The food was good, however, the general consensus was that the food was overpriced for the portion sizes that you get compared to other areas. My husband at the beer tacos, our child had the cheese quesadilla and I had chicken fajitas. Luckily my chicken fajitas was quite large so I was able to share with my husband who was left hungry after his main dish which was brought out was very small. I had the chicken and steak fajitas, unfortunately it was mostly chicken with only a few pieces of steak. I expected it to be closer to half and half. The vegetables were nicely grilled, and the size which came with it were tasty. My husband was disappointed with his birra tacos, not only was a small person, but he also said it sat in the middle and was not the better ones of what he has had in the past elsewhere. Our child's quesadilla was eight dollars for a cheese quesadilla and this was quite small. At least a small side could be offered for the price. The most difficult thing about this restaurant and why most likely will not return was the service although the restaurant was mostly empty. It was very hard to get any help from the server. We had to ask for the bill multiple times. Perhaps it's just growing pains of a new establishment and this will get better though. The ambience was nice, you can see that they're in the process of decorating and adding more foliage to the outside. This dining experience was a welcomed surprise for dinner on Saturday night. No reservation but the restaurant was pretty busy so my husband and I sat at the bar where we met a very nice bartender. The drinks were good, but nothing complicated. We had been one other time to dine here when they had just opened and we were very disappointed but felt it was new restaurant pains and needed to give it another chance. So glad we did because the shredded beef burrito was delicious and very generous in size. The steak and chicken fajitas with homemade corn tortillas was excellent. We even noticed that the complimentary chips and salsa were so much better than the first visit. I really feel like they changed things up in the kitchen and now we are huge fans of this place. Service was friendly and attentive from the server to the food runners. Even the kitchen did great by having both meals served at the same time. We had a nice short conversation with the owner/manage and we were sure to tell him how impressed we were by all the improvements. If you had tried this restaurant in the early days of being open and you haven't been back, please come and try them again, because this was really a wonderful meal. This is a new place in boynton, and a very nice ambiance. The food is ok we ordered the chicharrón ceviche and it was pretty good. For the entree I ordered the tacos one al pastor and one carne asada. I have to say they were both very bland and lack luster didn't have any flavor at all. The sangria and drink on the other hand were fantastic I'd definitely give it a second try, but I'd stay away from the tacos, and try something else. read more

Paloma is a welcome addition to the neighboorhood! The staff was very friendly with a lively ambiance. We started with the ceviche. It was delectable, especially with the still-warm tostones. My wife said it was salty but still finished it nonetheless. She had the fajitas which had great flavor and in a very generous portion. I had the Birria tacos which were phenomenal. This dish alone will have me coming back! The owners were also welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. In the backdrop was a guitarist which at first I was nervous about as sometime it's can be too loud and interfere with the ambiance and conversation. Do not bother! Awful food! Incompetent staff who couldn't understand English and they pretended not to comprehend simple orders and even those who speak Spanish fluently as I do. It was incredible to watch them become angry at us for their own incompetence. My date ordered a chicken enchilada and it came out as ground beef covered in a sauce like Ragu. When they tried to fix it, the chicken was completely overcooked and tasted like shredded wood. My chicken tacos were so blase' and covered in raw onion with no zest or appeal. Even the guacamole had too much onion. When the Spanish speaking Rude staff wanted to gossip and stood over us, I wanted to stand up and, with my harsh onion breath, yell at them to check their tip because we left very little tip and we will never go back. I took my father to this new Mexican restaurant for diner. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Our server was very nice and attentive. The drinks were outstanding; their bartender must have a phd in mixology! The food was fabulous. I really enjoyed my ceviche and my father loved his enchiladas. Paloma is the New Mexican restaurant in town! The food was delicious- very fresh . The ambiance lovely- beautiful outdoor private patio. One of the owners Carlos was very courteous and walked us through the menu which featured interesting tacos, various other Mexican dishes and specialty sauces. We ordered the pork tacos and fajitas which were very good, and of course Margaritas! They have decent prices and we are told some great happy hour deals on Mondays and weekends. My friend suggested this cute little Mexican restaurant for dinner one night. I got there right at 5pm on Friday evening, was seated right away and my drink order was taken. My friend arrived 5 minutes later, which unfortunately ended up being right when one of their servers quit. It took another 15 minutes for someone to come and check on us, which he did and explained and apologized for. The staff that was still working really pulled together and busted their butts to get things back on track. We were taken really good care of after that, and the food was excellent. They have a really interesting pork belly ceviche served with smashed, fried plantains. I will definitely be back for that dish, I've never had anything like it. The rice and beans that came as sides were some of the best I have ever had. We tried the taco sampler plate, chorizo cheese dip and the mixed fajitas - everything was fresh and excellent. read more

When we were seated restaurant was empty. We did not receive happy hour menu even though we arrived at 430PM. We had to ask for the menu and only received one menu for a group of 4. Service was pretty terrible. We got happy hour taco trio x3. Was not asked about a sauce. Ordered sides of rice and beans however they never came out. Had to go inside and ask for them. By time they came out tacos were cold. Ordered a second margarita which was all mix and terrible. The quesadilla is expensive and small for the price. Runner was not nice, no personality and not even a smile. Our actual waitress was nice but really no apology for forgetting our sides. Unfortunate first visit. We visited Paloma Mexican Restaurant on Tuesday for its grand opening and had a wonderful time. Everyone was extremely welcoming, nice and accommodating. We loved that the Owner, Carlos introduced himself to us and thanked us on our way out too! Such a nice touch that sadly you don't get to experience anymore. We were fortunate to sit outside in their lovely decorated patio and were pleasantly surprised to have a live sax musician playing a lovely collection of music. This was another very nice touch that sadly a lot of restaurants don't have anymore. The service was excellent, as our server Fernanda was so nice and helpful. There was a tad bit of a delay on grand opening evening, but you could tell that it was due to volume, as The restaurant was full and extremely busy both inside and out. The servers were in constant movement going from the kitchen to tables. They definitely needed more help either in the kitchen or out in the restaurant. In addition, the food was really good! Especially the ceviche. That was our favorite dish. We ordered tacos and a burrito and everything was very good and freshly made. The only criticism I have is purely due to a personal food sensitivity and nothing else - is it possible to make guacamole a la cart without onions.
