We had an interesting and good lunch here. It's set a bit west of the main cluster of other restaurants on the avenue. We were here before the usual rush hour lunch time, so we were able to locate a parking spot right out front. They call their breakfast/lunch menu brunch, but there's more than just morning dishes. There was one item I'd hoped to try, but they no longer have it on their menu (deviled eggs), understandably. We came and sat inside near the bar. There's a huge area on the patio outside for seating, too. And what looks like a dance floor/band area. A gal placed a special fan like contraption on the table next to us to keep the flies away as the place is open to the outside and the covered open air patio. The bartender was our server. We learned they hadn't been open that long -- less than a month. And that he was a newly transplanted New Yorker. They're still working to get a few glitches under control. After browsing the menu, we decided to share a few appetizers. We ordered two items to start -- their fried green tomatoes and their egg rolls. The glitch occurred when after waiting 20 something minutes -- and the kitchen was waiting as well -- the bartender realized he had not actually sent our food order to the kitchen... (ain't technology grand?). Once they got our order, it was a fast turnaround. The fried green tomatoes were in a nice light batter and came with a remoulade sauce. The sauce was not too spicy at all. The collard and smoked turkey egg rolls had a crispy outer shell. The inside was stuffed with collard greens. There was some sweet piquant chili sauce drizzled on top. They were tasty, but I had expected some turkey meat in them as well which they didn't have. Even so, we liked both items. Although full, I wanted to try their lobster bites appetizer from their menu that sounded intriguing. This was a small lobster tail, cut up and battered. The menu said it was topped with a signature seasoning blend -- which was a bit salty. I love lobster in any form so it was still okay. And although my husband and I shared the other dishes, I wound up eating most of this dish myself. It was so refreshing to get some authentic southern cuisine in this area. There are some other brunch entrees -- oxtail, shrimp, catfish -- with grits or that chicken and waffles -- that could easily be a future meal for us. We wish them continued success so that we can come back to try more items.

The food was fresh and delicious it really was! I was impressed. The drinks were good too. Missing one star unfortunately bc honestly they HAVE to get their service together or they will not make it and I really want them to. I hope they see this! I would love to come back and support. Our server was very kind everything just took such a long time bc the poor man was working 4 different jobs at once. Hopefully they have it figured out now, my visit was months ago. The inside is good and the DJ was great vibes.

This was the second time I visited Grooves. Taco Tuesday with Dj Nasty from WEDR 99 Jamz was in full effect. Played many of the HBCU's classics, which made me want to stomp the yard. Ms. Ray, my exquisite bartender, served the spirits that got me in the Grooves Vide all night. Must get the Lobster Bites gave me a fantastic culinary experience. Definitely will experience Grooves again. ***** Jarrett X

Collard Green (Turkey) Eggrolls with sweet chili sauce

First of all, the food was fantastic! Everything we tried for brunch was amazing. The Collard Green Egg Rolls were my favorite. It was nice that the meat inside is turkey and not traditional pork so I could enjoy them. The service was okay, not above and beyond but the staff were nice. The overall ambience is interesting, the decor is a bit random, the location is a little small, but clean. They offer inside and outside seating. Also there is a bar-top seating with television. I would absolutely revisit for takeout, but maybe not for dine in. The food is so good! I highly recommend.

Currently sitting in the patio area, just finished my brunch. DELICIOUS! Vibes, music, food, atmosphere, staff. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The catfish was flaky, not oily, just perfect! I'm visiting the area and was looking for a breakfast place. I knew this place is fairly new because there was 1 review and when I spoke with an employee, he said they've only been open 2 weeks. I am satisfied and wish I lived in the area! I will definitely come back! Oh, and I LOVE the bathroom wall!

The DaDa dates are wonderful but the portion size (4 dates) is a bit bit small for sharing. A great option for a party of four is the Messe Board. Service always friendly and courteous. A big plus this that DaDa has its own valet parking. What do do with your car is always a problem in Delay Beach.

That being said the staff there is so rude. It basically ruined the entire experience. I made a last-minute reservation online and there were tons of spaces left. I had a bit of a drive to get there and I actually got there much sooner than I expected. I thought it would be better to make a later reservation rather than an earlier one which I might be late for. However, I got there a good 15 minutes early before my reservation. There were lots of seats, but the hostess was so snobby. She told me since I was early she would see me closer to my reservation. Closer... I'm only 15 minutes early so you're gonna see me at the time of the reservation? Meanwhile, I could've booked something for 15 minutes earlier thought it was available. So I stood there and waited with lots of empty tables until finally. It was the time of my reservation and magically one of those tables that have been open. They finally sat at. Excited to be able to eat... The waitress comes over who is also extremely rude. She starts telling me that I'm in her way to do her job. I'm not doing anything I just sat down. She later pseudo apologizes, but not really. Ultimately, she could've found a much nicer way to address the issue she was having. Or since there were plenty of open tables, maybe she could've asked the hostess to put us in a different section but now I had this waitress all evening. She was running around a little frantic and seemed a little flustered, even though there weren't that many people there so I don't know. The look of the place is kind of charming, but the rudeness of the entire staff kind of ruins it. But I go back? Maybe. The food wasn't amazing, but it is a local spot and it was good enough to return to- but certainly would have to keep in mind that the service does really take it down two or three notches.

The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!

The server was friendly and the food was very good! Only complaint is the portions were small for the hefty prices. We ordered a few appetizers and two pizza pies. Chicken cutlets - these were nice fresh and juicy. I like that the lemon wedges were seasoned and gave a nice kick to the cutlets. Although good, these were just 5 shrimp. Overpriced. 4/5 ($20) Burrata - Filone bread topped with burrata, strawberries, balsamic, brown butter, and there was something crunchy on top that was good not sure what they were.
