I'll have to echo other reviewers here on the "painless" aspect of this experience! After months of searching, I found what I was looking for here. I was extremely eager to get a roll on this purchase. My salesman Shawn was incredibly attentive, honest, and kind through the entire process. It was important to me that I get everything answered accurately and in a timely manner since I'd be traveling from Houston on my only free weekend to see the car. Shawn spoke with me every day and handled all my concerns/issues quickly. Finally made the trip up. I saw my car up front, exactly as described and pictured. Walking in, I was greeted immediately and taken for a test drive. From test drive to final drive off, I was there less than two hours at the same desk with the same guy. No pawning off to different people in different buildings for different sets of paperwork. Absolutely ZERO haggle, zero hidden fees, zero pain. Shawn was beyond accommodating. I was looking to purchase a 2017 Ferrari Cali from Sam who was my salesman at Palomino Motors. Prior to finishing the negotiation I had the car inspected by a third party who's report indicated several problems. "the shielding on the rear left and right is cracked where the front wheel house liners attach at the rockers". Additionally on OBD and OBDII and I quote, "Not all monitors show ready for testing without error. EVAP system shows incomplete and thus has not fully passed. The following systems reported codes. Will need further research and and diagnostics for source of codes". And there is more.... I made a deal with Sam, that I have in writing - Palomino was supposed to split the inspection report cost. $300 from each of us. When I confronted Sam with he report he said that the car needs to be driven a while to clear the codes. I decided not to pursue the car based on the report. The car was NOT in saleable condition. They subsequently refused to pay their half of the inspection. How can a person purchase a car when its not ready to be sold? This dealer is not reputable and has a C+ with the BBB for a reason. They do not tell the truth and actually lied which is funny because I have it in writing. Stay clear of this dealer - Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware) read more

I purchased a vehicle about 3 months ago. Palomino promised to replace the shade for the vehicle as it was broken when purchased. They failed to replace the shade. Instead, they continued to give me the runaround. Every week they assured me the shade's tracking is showing to arrive "this week". I didn't receive a call back and 3 months later still no shade replacement. Mo, the owner, continued to lie to me and refused to communicate. I have called numerous times. Do not, I repeat, do NOT go here for a used vehicle. I purchased a preowned Jeep Cherokee from them & two months in the transmission went out. I called to complain to Mike J. who sold me the vehicle & he was very aggressive, rude and told me it belongs to me the most he could do is take it back for thousands less & put me in another vehicle after applying all over again. Terrible experience, I had to trade it in & I'm still paying on being upside down $4000. Not to mention the $1000-2000 I put down on the car initially. I had an amazing experience will salesman Mike Jones @ Palomino Motors. He was friendly, helpful, and great to work with. But more importantly... he went above and beyond "after the sale" Here's my story: I recently (late February) purchased a preowned Range Rover Evoque from Palomino Motors. Like all of their cars, it was pristine. It was loaded and had only 26k miles on it. Last month the turbo went out. I hadn't even driven it 10k miles. I called Jaguar Land Rover Austin immediately of course, because it was still under factory warranty. They set me up with an appointment and said it would be no problem. To my surprise, when I took the car in, my service manager, Jose, said "Sorry sir, there's no records of any service on your car, most importantly, oil changes. Therefore, we cannot warranty the turbo and you will need to pay an estimated $5200.00 to have it repaired." I said please sir, I just bought the car, it's under warranty... Isn't there anything you can do? Anything at all??? Jose we on to say "sorry sir, that's what you get for buying a used car" I said, yeah but it's still a Range Rover... he said "nope, sorry, nothing we can do". So I left and took the car to the San Antonio Land Rover dealership, where I had a much more pleasant experience. Through the help of San Antonio Land Rover and especially Mike from Palomino Motors, we were able to get the service record from Palomino Motors (full lube job, etc...). Mike also contacted the original owner to find out which LandRover dealerships were used to service the vehicle. The LandRover dealerships in Washington had all the necessary proof we needed to ensure warranty coverage. Land Rover San Antonio replaced the turbo quickly, pleasantly, and free of charge. I bought a car from Jerry and it's been in the shop since I bought it. There was no documentation of defect on the carfax(it is a crime to alter the carfax) and they told me there was no issues when inspected. I bought this car in September and have been in to their shop EVERY OTHER week because of engine issues. Danny finally told me my engine will die, 5 days before it actually did on Jan 5th. My car is CURRENTLY still in their shop NOT FIXED. I have a warranty & insurance and the dealership still has not fixed it. Today, Danny told me they will have it fixed but I still shouldn't drive it. What does that even mean?! I have bought several cars before and I only came because recommendations but the service I received has been TERRIBLE. Palomino should be ashamed of themselves. I want my money back now. read more

Do not waste your time with this dealership. I had sent a 500 dollar deposit along with a wire transfer for 20k for a purchase of a 2015 Lambo. After several days had passed I heard nothing from the salesman. I gave him a call and asked what was going on. He didn't send me any paperwork to sign. It appeared that he had forgotten about the purchase. During that time I had received a call from a local dealer that was organized and trust worthy about a Lambo they had now become available. I changed my plans and decided to go with the local Lambo purchase. I then informed Palimino of my new purchase and asked for my deposit and wire transfer back. That's when the shady stuff started. They were acting like children and trying not to return my money. I had to get the bank who transferred the wire and the credit card for the deposit involved. I also threatened to call the local police to report the theft of my deposit. So now the mon have passed I will tell you that I finally received the last of my deposit back. The wire transfer took about 2 weeks and the credit card company investigated the deposit and finally credited my 500 back. So it's up to you now that you know this information. Was skeptical of the ease of transactions everyone else was talking about, without a doubt the easiest, most laid back and pressure free experience. The salesperson, Gina, was extremely helpful, patient and even gave my partner and I alone time to discuss. Didn't argue about anything and was very clear and upfront. We test drove a 2018 NX 300 (they let you test drive by yourself which is super nice), and ended up getting it thousands below kbb market value with very little back and forth. LIVID right now. These are some of the most unprofessional groups of people EVER. They have an absolute lack of communication, lack transparency (partial auto check reports), and are just plain bad. I'd heard iffy things about them via word of mouth, but decided to give them a try because of yelp reviews and ooooommmmggg am I mad I wasted my time. I ended up deciding on a car, had them drop it off for repairs, had to call constantly and check in with them-- because they, apparently, don't know what it means to keep your potential client's informed-- and when I contacted them today to purchase (because, yet again, they did not call ME to keep me abreast of the progress of the car and repairs), they told me they had a "courtesy hold" on the vehicle from an online lead- on Sunday- who wanted to check out the car tomorrow (Tuesday). Nevermind that I am trying to BUY the car today. Not "check it out." what. the. phuck. Soooo, you couldn't have a) responded to my message in a timely fashion in the first place, b) performed a COURTESY CALL to tell me someone else either had interest, or even that you were going to say eff my money, and put the car I was trying to buy on hold for someone else? After looking at various Mustangs for a couple of days, and walking away from a couple of deals because of bogus dealer fees, overpriced vehicles, or mechanical/cosmetic issues, I reached out to Palomino via the cars.com app. Really didn't have high expectations. Doing research I found they didn't have any ridiculous dealer fees. I was curious but pessimistic. However Dennis reached out to me and I came in after work for a test drive. He had the car out front ready for me. It was super simple, pretty much as soon as I walked in he got a copy of my license, handed me the key,and told me take my time. I looked over the vehicle then drove it. I took it around for a while, on my own (some dealers send the salesman with you on the test drive). When I came back Dennis already had the numbers ready. Very straightforward. The online price was the price. There was a doc fee if $150, an inspection fee of $43, and standard TTL. NO DEALER FEES! The price was fair and the process super easy. No pressure at all. No constant barrage of texts, calls, and emails. I decided to put a deposit down since it was late and come back the next morning with payment. I showed up the next day, the process was about 10 minutes and I was on my way in a very nice, well taken care of 2018 red Ford Mustang convertible. The car was great, the price fair, but what really struck me was how chill Dennis was. I'm pretty sure he wanted to sell me a car, but he was so nice and easy going it was like buying from a friend you have known for years. Horrible service. Purchased a 2011 Chevy Equinox July 2017. When I drove it off the lot I notice that the engine was really loud. I called and complained. They picked it up kept it for a week. First they claimed it was the radio, then a loose screw attached to engine. They claimed they took it to Chevy to have diagnostic testing and that Chevy stated "the noise was normal and everything was fine with the vehicle." If that's the case why did the engine die less the 6 months later December 2017. I called them to ask for the report from Chevy and was told they don't keep any documents after 6 months. I ask since they sold me a lemon how are they going to fix the problem. I was told they don't have to fix anything because I didn't purchase the extended warranty. They know the warranty doesn't cover the engine. They pretty much laughed in my face while hanging up. My family has purchased several vehicles from them but I will never again. I bought a car from them. I want to give props to Gina. She dealt with me when I was frustrated beyond comprehension. They sell used cars. Used cars come with used car problems. Know before you go. I got a car that had some issues I didn't take into account when you get a used car when it comes to expenses and repair needs that could come up. There were some issues I don't think I caused, and I don't think I got much in terms of an answer or resolution that I felt secure with. Overall...I really felt comfortable while I was there. They were patient, fun (and I really mean fun - I have NEVER laughed while doing something as stressful as buying a car,) and most everyone there took the time to speak to me. They let me drive the car on my own (which was good - people all in my ear while I'm trying to think and make a decision drives me insane.) They were good with communication even after I left. Financing went smooth. I was actually the holdup for some of the process. Bottom line - do your research. Check everything thoroughly. read more

Let me tell you, Palomino has some of the nicest vehicles in DFW. Upon arrival i noticed cars ranging from a Fisker to a few Bentleys! The dealership is filled with beautiful automobiles fit for everyones budget. Gina was very professional and allowed me the freedom to view all cars that interested me, without any pressure. This is not a normal attribute of any dealership i have encountered before. Later after i choose my new Lexus, Steve was very instrumental in landing me a lender with the lowest interest rate possible. Overall my experience was clear, concise and my financing was explained in vivid detail. Later this week i went to pick up my plates and was greeted by one of the most attractive individuals i have come across. Gina with the assistance of another associate installed my plates and treated me as if i was purchasing another car all over again. I give this place 5 stars for their level of customer care, professionalism, and car selection. Lets just say i was definitely impressed! Over the years, I have been looking at their website and saw that they dealt with numerous high end cars, so, I saw an '06 Porsche 911 and wanted to make a purchase. Since I lived out of state, I had friends check out the car as well as get the car inspected. After the inspection, the OWNER drove the car an additional 200 miles due to the car battery being dead and stated he had to drive the car to get the battery energized (WTH?). After the inspection, the wheels were damaged and all this was unbeknownst to me. I decided to purchase the vehicle after reviewing the inspection (not knowing about all the other stuff), and they called me almost every day to complete the purchase. They shipped the vehicle to my hometown with a flat tire and two damaged rims. I had to TOW the vehicle to a dealership to have it inspected again! Once I called to discuss with the General Manager, he was difficult to reach, they didnt try to help me in the beginning and rarely would call me back as I would have to continue to call them. Over time, I found out that the owner drove the car, they signed off for the vehicle to be shipped damaged, and once they received the money, they didnt care about customer service follow-up which seems to be a pattern after reading other YELP write-ups. In the end, after two and a half weeks of trying to get a hold of the GM , the OWNER offered the following fixes: 1) Give me $1000 to fix high end rims and tires (total amount was almost 3 times the amount), 2) Shop on EBAY (EBAY!!!???) for replacement rims and tires or 3) Return the car for a refund. Needless to say, it was a no-brainer on the decision. Oh by the way, I NEVER ONCE DROVE THE CAR!!! My overall loss dealing with this dealership: $1500! I guess its a lesson learned for dealing with such a terrible business. If you are an out of town customer, dont buy ANYTHING from them. If you are an in-town customer, dont buy ANYTHING from them. They totally lost the respect and interest that I had for them before this experience. read more

I purchased a very nice 2014 ML350 Bluetec from Palomino Motors for a great price in January 2017est. I was very pleased with the purchase but was disappointed with the delivery service of the car. The vehicle was deliveryed to me in Arizona after multiple calls to Dennis and excuse after excuse explaining that it was because of the holidays and blaming the delivery service companies. Yes, companies it took more than one company to deliver my car home in Arizona. In one of our phone calls Dennis promised to make up for the the delay. Dennis promised a gift card, full tank of fuel, and a detailed vehicle. Well its been about four months no gift card the car arrived with less than a full tank and the cars' interior was not detailed, I had it detailed myself. I reached out to Dennis to complain about not receiving the gift card and he asked that i text him a list of items promised so that he could take care of it stating that Palomino Motors cares about his customers and that the sell was not over until their promise was fulfilled. Initial text plus two reminders, no response, amazing customer satisfaction out the door. P.S. If buying from out of state get everything in writing, promises will not be honored. :( read more

I bought a 2012 Mercedes ML350. The buying process was fine. However, I had to HOUND them to call me back regarding the new plates and registration. Additionally, the check engine light came on just two weeks after I purchased it. I was told this was "not that kind of dealership" and that they would take care of it for me since it had just been purchased. I dropped it off with them to fix. Again, I had to call them several times just to get an update. Two and a half days later, they tell me the wrong gas put into it and it would cost $1200!!!! I had only filled it up once and I am POSITIVE I used the correct gas (diesel). Then I took the car to Park Place who diagnosed it with something completely different. Palomino Motors was trying to make it look like something was my fault, when in fact it was just a censor that was having an issue, a much much cheaper issue. Regardless, if Palomino would have been accurate and diagnosed it truthfully, that should have been something they should have fixed on their end being as the car was so newly purchased. I purchased my 2007 Mercedes E-class sedan through Palomino Motors in 2014. I found the overall experience to be quite laid back, but professional at the same time. (In other words, I did NOTexperience a high-pressure/high-stress situation which too often can occur at other dealers when buying a used vehicle). I worked with Alex, one of the sales reps, on price negotiation for the vehicle and then the owner himself to finalize the documents on the purchase. Both were quite pleasant to work with. I was particularly impressed with Alex's customer service in that he was willing to repair all "dings" in the vehicle as part of the purchase price. I have owned the vehicle over a year now and have been very happy with its performance. From my perspective, this dealer seems to specialize in used luxury vehicles that have been well maintined. I looked at other used vehicles of the same model being sold by other dealers around the metroplex and could tell they weren't as selective as Palomino Motors regarding the overall condition of the vehicles they had on their lot. I would not hesitate to recommend Palomino Motors to buyers who want a high quality luxury vehicle, but don't want to pay "new-car" prices for that luxury. read more
