When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. After I got home, I realized the 120V adapter for the BMW Flexible Fast Charger was missing. In fairness, I was in a hurry to get back home and didn't notice it before leaving the dealership. Took my car in for a recall and naturally they found a couple things to charge me for. They quoted me $2,400.00 for a leaking motor mount. After looking up costs, found out the typical charge to replace motor mounts is between $550.00 and $750.00. Called then back to cancel and the service advisor was adamite that I have it done at the dealership. When informed of the normal market price, she wanted me to make an offer on the service. Obviously, they inflate the cost and unless you call them out; they will rip you off all day long. At the tender age of 77, I replaced the motor mounts myself in my garage for a total cost of $75.00 in about 6 hours. No, not a factory BMW part. Why They don't last over 40k miles. Why replace one headache with another? Bet a factory trained technician with hoist, tools, n help can do the same in less than 2 hours. Not that hard. $2,400.00? This used to be my go-to place for Mercedes. I liked the place so much that I would drive almost 35…read moremiles each way to get my car serviced there. I have 4 dealerships within 20 miles or so and some even offer car pickup. Scenario - I took my car for a 40K scheduled service. They said everything was fine but I needed to change my front brakes (less than 3 mm - I have the video). I also needed to fix the rotors as I had pushed the pads to the limit. By the way, I had a crack in the windshield which needed a full replacement. Total cost to fix was about $3.2K. I declined as I was a bit wary of this sudden deterioration of my car. To put things in perspective, Mercedes has an automated warning that tells you when the brakes needed work. I couldn't see the crack/chip but recommendations are that it has to be about quarter size to warrant a full windshield replacement. The picture sent over made it the size of small drop of water. I went to 3 car shops to verify this as I could not believe that I was getting ripped off from my favorite place. Two lifted the car and one did on-ground assessment. The smallest measurement for my brakes was about 5mm. The others were about 5.5 mm. There was also no damage to the rotors. They also looked at the windshield but said it looked shallow enough to be filled in but they would check. Btw, most insurance coverages provide for no-deduction replacement with no impact to insurance rates. This incident really bothered me as I liked it enough to take cake and chocolate-covered strawberries as a sign of appreciation for the great service. Also, there have been a number of service related posts citing dishonesty. The positive reviews are mostly related to sales. At any rate, that was certainly my last visit there.

After arriving at the dealership, I was informed the vehicle was actually not certified and only had around 500 miles remaining on the factory warranty. Despite that, the pricing remained consistent with what would typically be expected for a certified vehicle, and I was then encouraged to purchase an additional $3,000 extended warranty instead. As a buyer, that was extremely disappointing and felt misleading. On top of that, several promises made during the sales process were not properly followed through on, including the tint request. Communication throughout the process was poor, and expectations were not clearly managed. The vehicle also was not thoroughly detailed before delivery, as I am still finding personal belongings and food debris from the previous owner under the seats and floor mats. I want to be clear that my frustration is more with the dealership process than with any one individual employee. However, attention to detail, transparency, and follow-through are exactly why customers choose Sewell and pay Sewell-level prices.
