Our friends had been here before, and it definitely has a more upscale vibe compared to the other local joints if that's what you're looking for. Service was good, we were seated and served quickly. We ordered: drinks - marshmallow old fashioned, regular old fashioned, lemon drop martini, and a huckleberry mule; apps - truffle fries and fried pickles; entrees - cheesesteak w/ chips, French dip w/ garlic fries, and Mac and cheese. Everything was super tasty, least favorite were the pickles which was a bummer - I expected dill but I think they were the sweet kind. Passing through Cascade for the night, my wife and I were craving something local--but with standout flavor. Palooza did NOT disappoint. We rolled in on a Friday night after battling the Boise traffic, and were greeted and seated right away. That's when we met Jeff, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the menu. At his suggestion, we both ordered the grilled peach, prosciutto, burrata, and honey sandwich. I mean... who doesn't love the magic of sweet seasonal peaches, salty prosciutto, creamy burrata, and a honey drizzle to bring it all together? HOLY $#!+--it was next-level good. We were so glad we didn't split one! And the homemade potato chips? Crispy, perfectly salted, and absolutely addictive. Another treat you won't want to share--but probably should (if you're feeling generous). We finished with the warm salted chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. That perfect hit of salt elevated the rich, melty chocolate in all the right ways. It was the kind of dessert you don't want to share--but somehow still do. The food was good. The place is well spaced out and decorated nicely. The service was slow from wait staff to food getting out. The owner and cook put good effort into this place though and are willing to work at the establishment. Always a plus in my book. Overall 4 stars. Could be a star 5 if portions were a little larger for the cost or cost is just slightly less for the amount. Overall, I'd go back and try it again on occasion. read more

Amazing eatery! This is not your normal restaurant. This is what all restaurants should strive to be. The craft beer was amazing! We had their Jalapeño beer. I was throughly impressed! The food here is stellar. The cheesesteak was tasty as was their 1/2 pound Blue Burger. The house chips were made to perfection. This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Idaho. We drove up from Nampa to rent snowmobiles. After a day on the snow, this was the perfect ending to a great day. The service was tops in its class. The server's were extremely friendly and attentive to what we needed before we even asked for it. I 100% recommend that everyone gives this place a try. Wow! What a wonderful find. Was here for a weekend adventure and while browsing through the small town I found this gem. What wonderful staff and they offer amazing mouthwatering specials. The owner was a pleasure to talk with about fishing and about the town! Everyone was so friendly and felt welcomed. Ended up having a great time at a music event over Labor Day weekend! This restaurant is conveniently located on the main drag in Cascade. It's a cozy place with hard tables and chairs and an open seating area. Lots of echoing noise. Service was good, not great, and I liked my dish, but my family did not care for theirs. My wife had a salad that was just mediocre, two of my sons had the barbecue pulled pork and it was OK, the fries were really good, the brussels sprout appetizers was pretty good, and my other son had the fish and chips which she said we're good. We couldn't help but have a sickening feeling when only 24 hours after we visited we received a message that our credit card had been stolen. We hadn't used it anywhere in the past three or four days so we had an uneasy feeling here. We did end up returning on our way back down to the valley and used our new credit card, but we were very careful not to hand it to anybody in any business. Overall, it was very expensive for an OK meal. We had the opportunity after these two visits to return, bringing our out-of-town guests here as well, and we chose against it. I think our lunch, three sandwich, plates with fries, a fish and chips plate, and a salad, came to about 140 something dollars for a family of five. read more

Our server Veronica was very attentive, and the kind of person to help you clean up when you're crying over a spilled Pilsner, and then she'll bring you a new one;) the food was EXCELLENT, highly recommend the taco trio/margarita pairing, and the poke nachos were fabulous! Terrific spot and best restaurant in Cascade hands down. We stop here every trip to Cascade and McCall. Delicious food, great decor and spotless. We always look forward to it. They serve everything from burgers to upscale entree's at reasonable prices. They also have a nice little wine selection. You can get a good bottle of wine without feeling like you're being gouged. The Stoller Chardonnay was $30. a fair price! Jeff, the owner and chef always makes our visits special, taking the time out of his busy restaurant responsibilities to have a few minutes to chat. Delicious food and service we stopped there for lunch on our way to McCall. We had a few out of town family members with us. We had the pulled pork and steak sandwiches. Perfect meal. On the way back we stopped hoping for breakfast and they were not open yet. The owner (Sean I believe) saw us at the door let us in and made us mochas and cofffee and whipped up a yummy breakfast for us before opening time. This will be our go to stop in the future when visiting the mountains from our home in Eagle. What a wonderful unexpected experience. read more

I wanted to love this restaurant. I turned to Yelp to find a great restaurant to eat at on our way from McCall to Boise. The food was good, but portions are small for the price. The service was terrible. Server was slow. Things forgotten. We would ask questions and we would get a blank stare. With some better help, it would warrant 4 stars. The value of meal to price is a bit underwhelming. $8 for a kids bowl of buttered noodles. $18 burger that looked like it was from the kids menu. It was our first stop at Palooza, and I expected standard foodservice delivered fare. I was not only pleasantly surprised but actually blown away that there was a place this good in Cascade. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich (which I ended up with half), and we both agreed it was the best pulled pork we have had. Instead of the usual over spiced and over sauced, the pork was flaked in large pieces, lightly seasoned with an awesome pork flavor. The service was as expected in a mountain town - friendly and personal - and the owner/manager came to our table before we left to check on our meal. The buildout inside gave the mountain ambiance appropriate for Central Idaho. We will definitely stop again the next time we travel through, and if you are staying in town, don't miss it. read more

**New Sweet spot in Cascade **! We loved the vibe of this remodel of the old Chief hotel, You can't miss the same which is still visible from the road. Also nice is that the restaurant is one of the few in Cascade that has plenty of free parking. I enjoyed the adult grilled cheese with its huckleberry compote Gouda cheese and arugula. Can't help it miss The draft beer fountains and the outdoor patio was simply lovely and pet friendly. The indoor decor is well thought out and very Family friendly. Will be back each time we pass through Cascade. Today we were on bikes and very hungry but that did not influence my review ;-) Super friendly staff, fast service and beer selection. read more

My family and I were so excited to see the "Now Open" sign and were even more impressed with the food and decor. Having a place to get a great coffee, delicious food, choice beer, and an activity in Cascade is a real addition to the area.
